This brings up a valid reason for our Mod Testers to test new versions of mods when they are released against the latest official STEP version. That way if a mod proves to cause issues with it's latest release on the latest official STEP version, we can modify the mod tables appropriately to exclude the mod or provide a fix or a note. This would prevent the issue that we're seeing now with users finding mods that are broken because of either a game update or a mod update and cut down on potential troubleshooting at the same time. This should be fairly easy to do now that the Guide is on the wiki.

DROPPED Bethesda Hi-Res DLC Optimized (by Vano89)
TechAngel85 replied to Farlo's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
00:42, January 14, 2013‎ Farlo (Talk | contribs)‎ . . (1,476 bytes) (+1)‎ . . (Hybrid without Vanilla normals is higher quality.) (undo) There is no option for "hybird only" in the install? EDIT: Actually, let me redownload to verify... Holy cow that's a big download! It'll be a min... EDIT: Verified. There is no option for a "hybrid without vanilla normals" in the install? Only folder options are: 00 Core files01 Hi-Res Secondary stuff --SELECT ONE--01 Vanilla Secondary stuff --SELECT ONE--02 Hybrid + Vanilla NM files03 'character' Vanilla04 'dragon' Vanilla05 'effects' Vanilla06 'trees' VanillaSTEP instructs to install: 00, 01 Hi-Res Secondary stuff --SELECT ONE--, and 02. That is the highest available quality install. The only thing left to install after that is vanilla stuff so I go back to my edit: 00:04, January 14, 2013‎ Techangel85 (Talk | contribs)‎ . . Update: Started a new game and that brought the breath back. Snow only sticks in very heavy blizzards (fw c8221) and only to clothes and hair (not face); whereas, Get Snow sticks in lighter snow too. The breath is also now more blackish in color instead of white (at least it was on my game). Still recommend using Get Snowy until these effects are ironed out. Wet & Cold Snow >> Wet & Cold Snow >> Get Snowy Snow >> Get Snowy Snow Wet & Cold new breath >> Effect after getting out of water (face looks frozen...hard to see in shot, check it out in-game) *Shots are taken around Dawnstar EDIT: Looks like the issues are pouring in over on the Wet & Cold thread on Nexus.

I tested both around Bleak Falls Barrow. I still recommend Get Snowy because I couldn't seem to get any snow to stick to the player no matter how hard it was snowing. Interestingly, I couldn't see the players breath in this area either. Also tested around Windhelm...no go there either. None of the snowy features worked for me. The drips still work, but no breath. :)

I would suggest at least adding this one. I haven't check of conflicts...I don't have the whole mod list up in WB yet. Just a small group of about 10 mods for testing and for testing vurt's stuff.

Updated the OP. The below guides are complete: STEP Community Citizenship: S.T.E.P WikiNVIDIA Inspector Guide

This make me wonder if Get Snowy is even needed. I know Get Snowy also affects NPCs and animals.

The Dragonborn Comes In Febuary
TechAngel85 replied to Neovalen's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
You better believe I'll be grabbing it! -
That's shadow striping. Adjust your iBlurDeferredShadowMask to a higher value.

You can do a one half auto/one half manual installation. I do this with RCRN. I package RCRN to be installed by Wrye Bash. Wrye Bash installs everything that RCRN needs in the Data folder to the Data folder. Then I'm left to manually install anything that has to be in the root Skyrim folder (one folder and a few files). This makes it incredibly easy for me to uninstall RCRN if need be. The same could be done with SKSE.

The music is actually quite good! I would listen to it even while not playing Skyrim. :)

Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
TechAngel85 replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
That's the boxes. Neovalen, you can set those to a fixed width.
blah blah blah
-
The Guide is now 100% revised and completed. Let me know if you find any issues.

Nice find!

I just went to investigate this...all black for me too!

This is from Skyrim - Textures.bsa, HighResTexturePack01.bsa, and HighResTexturePack01.bsa being optimized using DDSopt - pre-release - update 3 and the wiki instructions. Riverwood All other signs in Riverwood and Whiterun are fine.

From what I read in many many many different places, anything over 5 is considered unstable on really heavily modded systems. Did you do this as well:

Thanks! I think I'll be using the old for my setup. I never see my character's face anyway.
-
I would also like to see them on vanilla models. I don't think those are vanilla models he's using.

My only thing is why used such high resolutions for such a small thing in-game. 1024x would be the max for me on something like this as my 1GB VRAM limits me. It's like using 1024x textures for the eyes. What's the point for such a small object in-game? I realize that increased resolution means increased detail, but it's just too much for me and my machine to run 2048x textures on such small things.

Thanks justjr! Sensor Monitoring and Overclocking are uploaded!

DROPPED WATER - Water And Terrain Enhancement Redux (by SparrowPrince)
TechAngel85 replied to Asimov's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Please read the full mod page of any mod before posting issues. The author of WATER states very clearly not to use texture optimizers on this mod: -
DROPPED Windmills resized (by Pfaffendrill)
TechAngel85 replied to Kelmych's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Yeah, I never understood why the windmill blades were only as wide as the windmill itself. Nice find!
