  1. Salvador, message Z or Farlo on the Nexus to get your shiny Mod Author badge! :D Nice work on this mod as well!
  2. Well...from the videos on the mod page. This is a no-brainer. It's an issue that has always bothered me!
  3. Doesn't Skyrim Distance Overhaul cover this as well? (it's in mod testing right now)
  4. It will not hurt to install both. The files from Brawl Bugs will simply be overwritten.
  5. This fan film left me wanting more! [video=youtube]https://youtu.be/xy5LizCEGF8
  6. No need to worry about it. We'll most likely be changing how mod testing is handled on the forums soon. Admin, MTs, and Moderators, You should all be able to see this thread: https://forum.step-project.com/showthread.php?tid=3175 Your input would be valuable!
  7. I voted for Vanilla for Core and aMidianborn Caves for Extended. Really nice work on the update, CaBal!
  8. Not at all. The information I provided was informative to those that didn't know how to change their vote to or from another option, inlcuding aMb. This is necessary information since your mod changed during the course of the voting. Core Mandate states: I'm sorry, but aMb doesn't fit the mandate for Core (in my understanding of the Mandate); however, it does for Extended. In fact, I like the changes you made in V2 and expect aMidianborn Caves to be included in STEP:Extended.
  9. OP has been updated with the new version of aMidianborn (my shots only until Phazer is about to update his). I've posted a compare of V1 and V2 below for those that are interested in the direct change. aMidianborn Caves V1Â >>Â aMidianborn Caves V2 I don't think the poll will be reset; however, if anyone wants their votes changed and are unable to do so themselves please post here (very clearly) what your vote is and I or a moderator will get the poll updated. There should be a link right above the poll to "[undo vote]". From the results, it seems members are voting for the one they like best and not the one that fits the mandate for Core (perhaps the mandate isn't understood?) https://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:Mandate#STEP:Core
  10. Wow...looks like he might have actually fixed some of the issues that were brought up. Downloading now to test. EDIT: The upkeep on this thread is becoming a bit of a nightmare. In all honestly, another poll reset should be done. The recent update completely changed the look of aMidianborn so much so that the shots in the OP aren't even close anymore. CaBal fixed the ground texture issues. There is no more concave rocks, no more noise, no more bright sparkles. He also completely redid the walls. They're still a bit blurry up close, but there are fewer hard seams and they no longer sparkle due to too much reflection. The ice caves didn't change to much, but he might have turned down the reflectivity of the ice a bit. It would seem most all of the issues that any user brought up has been corrected. I'll be grabbing new shots from aMidianborn later today and will post them.
  11. I feel this thread is getting enough face time and that the compares are well enough for voting to open. I'm opening the poll for the start of the weekend. Multiple votes are allowed.
  12. Better Vanilla Hairs (meshes) is being tested in it's own thread; however, only 5 hairs are covered that I'm aware of. 3 for women and 2 for men. I've contacted to author to see where his stance is with the mod since it hasn't been updated since Jan. No response yet. You can see my example of what it does for this mod here: https://forum.step-project.com/showthread.php?tid=2569&pid=45037#pid45037 It's better, but still "salon". Anyways, this is off topic for this thread. Any discussion of Better Vanilla Hairs should be done on its own thread. I'll be posting compares for it as soon as testing for this mod is finalized.
  13. After taking some time and really looking at the hairs, I have to agree with Roots and Z. Don't get me wrong, I really really like the new Rough version of this mod. It's much closer to vanilla than the other options; however, as many have already said it's too "salon". AOF will be getting my vote as well. If discussion continues to be fruitful, I'll open up the poll early.
  14. GOG.com is having a sale on D&D games right now! 10 games for $26.40US!!! Only 3 days left on the sale. Check it out: https://www.gog.com/promo/dnd_gems?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_content=game_subject&utm_campaign=dnd_gems I already own Neverwinter Nights Diamond Edition and Neverwinter Nights 2. Both were thoroughly enjoyable and I've played them both through multiple times.
  15. All relevant compares have been posted to the OP. Please review them and openly discuss. If anyone else wishes to gather compares, please do so this weekend. The poll will go live Monday (or sooner if all are ready).
  16. I've not had this issue today....or any time. (Firefox)
  17. I'll have to test! :) What ever happened to RCRN? I never hear anyone talk about that anymore. RCRN...got lost in the wind I think. Haha! I never hear anything about it anymore. I stopped using it ages ago because too many "big name" mods weren't compatible with it, which I think is one of their major downfalls because all the "big namers" make their mods compatible with each other. (CoT, RLO, ENBs, ELFX, etc etc)
  18. I'll be happy with whatever the mod(s) come out on top at this point. I wasn't before because we didn't have all the information and analysis was posted prematurely. I will have to test the aMb+Hectrol combo to be able to properly commit on that. Which is overwriting which? aMb overwrites Hectrol or vise-versa? Hectrol only has 11 textures, all of which are covered my aMb...so it much be Hectrol overwriting aMb. I'll test this this weekend!
  19. ELFX, the last time I check (which was a good while ago), did not have the same "standards" or "views" rather on realism (should as having light sources that created "spotlights"). That is why I've stuck with RLO for so long. Their sense of realism matches up with my own pretty darn well.
  20. In my experience the only ones that still use old ENB versions are the ones that aren't under active development or at least very little of it. MTichenor (author of SkyRealism) is one author is monitors ENB development and releases updates regularly when he feels a specific version is stable enough. Currently, his presets use V0.200. This guide was meant to be kept up to date and covering all possibilities is just not possible. In it's current state, the Guide is WAY out of date and I'll most a notice at the top stating so. Please refer to the ENBoost thread for its discussion for now. I'll update the OP with the link to this thread as well. https://forum.step-project.com/showthread.php?tid=3011
  21. On a side note, I love RLO and plan on using it in my personal Pack when we get packs implemented.
  22. The OP = Opening Post. The first post of a thread.
