  1. Yeah, still no good. This is why we have a specific way of mod testing around here. For compares, the actual images need to be posted on the forum and labeled as you have seen numerous times in the MS and MT threads. As it is from your gallery, I have no idea what is vanilla (or STEP) and what is from this mod.
  2. I'll be doing these compares later this evening (time permitting).
  3. The third option has clearly won the vote so I think it would be enough to simply compare the winner with the new rough optional. Looking at the images on the author's page it does look better suited to vanilla. I'm planning on doing some compares later this evening so maybe I'll grab this one and do it as well.
  4. I was having a CTD here as well (sometimes the games wouldn't even load) and that's when I found out I installed Even Better Quest Objectives wrong. William said not to install using Fomod in MO (which I did) and it was causing this. I simply manually redid the file structure with the options I needed and reinstalled the mod. Worked great. This might not be your problem but it's something to look into.
  5. Thanks, Root. It's for my phone (Galaxy S2). I have a table but rarely use it. As far as browsers, Dolphin is my browser of choice on my phone (Firefox on computer); however, I recently switched over to Opera. Since the recent update to Dolphin, it seems to have taken a crap on my phone. Some say it's working fine for them while others (like me) are having a horrible time with it (text doesn't show up when searching or typing, crashing randomly, not responsive to touch in certain areas, settings won't open, etc etc). Firefox seems to be too resource heavy because I notice my battery drains quickly while using it. So I'm just sticking to Opera for now. Seems to be working great so far.
  6. Which version do you guy recommend? There's Tapatalk 4 (free public beta) Tapatalk ($2.99) - I'm guessing this is just the mainstream app. Tapatalk HD ($4.99) - I'm guess this version comes with a few extras.
  7. I duplicated the poll from the Hectrol thread (poll is closed so duplicate votes are counted). Beauty of Skyrim was the overall winner. The reasons can be found in the Hectrol thread and once I have time I can link to them if need be.
  8. Open a Run box or use the search feature in the Start Menu and type in "dxdiag" (without the quotes) and hit Enter. This will open the DirectX Diagnostic Tool and allow you to see which version you are running along with a lot of other information. You can also click through the tabs at the top to see if it's found any issues.
  9. Anyone care to provide compares?
  10. Would need comparison shots of several chest textures in-game before making a decision to drop or not.
  11. Lets start with the basics: What version of Windows 7 are you using? (Starter, Home Basic, etc) Did you make sure you have all the correct drivers for your hardware now that you are running 64bit? Most hardware will require 64bit drivers to run properly on 64bit architecture. Did you reinstall the game as well or did you just restore it from a backup or a separate hard drive or partition? Just out of curiosity... If you was going to spend the money to upgrade, why didn't you just upgrade to Windows 8 64bit rather than sticking with Windows 7? Latest Video Drivers: https://www.nvidia.com/object/win8-win7-winvista-64bit-320.49-whql-driver.html Motherboard (wasn't described accurately bc ASUS didn't know what "P5N-D SLI" was...you can manually search for it and choose the correct OS (windows 7 64 bit) from the drop down menu.) https://www.service.asus.com/#!downloads/c1wax I HIGHLY recommend you use Driver Genius. If you don't want to pay for it, it'll at the very least show you a list of drivers that are out-of-date and need to be updated from which you can manually search for and download individually. I have the paid version and it does an amazing job. (Just don't use it to download and install the graphics drivers. Get those manually from nVidia.) https://www.driver-soft.com/
  12. I won't know until an Admin Admin restores it again. You may need to PM Z. That's what I did when I goofed. There needs to be a better way of copying, moving, and merging individual posts if you and I, whom have some experience, is messing it up. lol! My original intent was to copy the threads with the compares from Hectrol to Beauty, move the poll if possible (which I don't think is.) and finally mark Beauty as "Accepted" until the compares for this mod are done. This seems like it should be a fairly simply and straightforward task, but it's not because you can't simply say "copy these" and "paste them" here. Then when you do get it, timestamps are an issue. Tools that would allow you to "move post to hear within thread" or "make post OP" would be greatly helpful. The whole "if OP is deleted then whole thread is deleted" seems like a fairly big limitation as well and pretty big "oh damn, that sucks!" moment when you discover the limitation on your own as you and I have both done. Hopefully the new forum software will allow for more flexibility in this type of stuff, but until then we're just going to have a few "oops" from time to time. EDIT: Speaking of compares, I'm going to try to do them this weekend since I did the compares for Beauty of Skyrim - Caves and Mines and still have the save locations. It's Tax Free weekend here which means my job is going to be hell for the next few days, but I'll still try to get those compares pushed out.
  13. These textures of yours weren't included in that comparison. That's why I've added them to Testing. :D
  14. For the time being... I accidentally deleted the Beauty of Skyrim - Caves and Mines thread. Until one of the "Admin Admin" can restore it, you'll have to use this thread for compares. (Note to self....no moderation tasks while heavily medicated)
  15. Beauty of Skyrim won out on our cave compares, but I'll add this one to the mix to be well rounded and cover our bases. Use with this thread or Beauty of Skyrim - Caves and Mines thread to post any compares.
  16. Well put and completely agree.
  17. Barrels should be SMIM. Trees should be SFO (Skyrim Flora Overhaul). Reinstalling these two should fix the problem unless you messed with the files in the mods. If you did, you'll probably have to redownload them and then reinstall them from the fresh download.
  18. I'm running the newest stable release just fine without issue, thus far. It's been several days so I'm not foreseeing anything coming up as an issue with them.
  19. Regardless of the armors material, it would still accumulate dirt and dust and blood as it's used; not to mention nicks and scrapes and scratches. It's just too polished for my personal tastes. BTW, it's only a two vote difference now. :) That, does need an administrative vote as will any mod that will be up for Core because Core is suppose to rarely change. Any mod's potential for Core will need to be an overall vote by the admins just like we did will the rest of the mods in STEP. You and I can not simply approve mods for Core as we can for Extended because it is/will be the base for all Packs.
  20. I never (NEVER) use beta drivers! I like the stability of my computer to stay stable. No IT professional in their right mind would ever recommend beta drivers for anything. Beta drivers are beta for a reason....use at your own risk.
  21. I agree and it's starting to provide my thoughts correct, that I don't think we'll be able to use the Langley mods as a whole, but rather peacemeal (through BCFs/Batch Files) as the author intended:
  22. Don't use both. I can't be for certain with AMD; however, with nVidia you use one or the other; not both. If you use AF in CCC, turn it off on the game launcher or in your INI. If you want to use the launcher, then set it to "Use Application Settings" in CCC. nVidia's AF is a bit better than the games built in AF...this might be true for AMD cards as well.
