ACCEPTED Realistic Water Two SE (by isoku/SparrowPrince/TechAngel85)
TechAngel85 replied to TechAngel85's topic in Skyrim SE Mods
On Reference, remove disable flag and set z (height) to -30000.0. Done. Edit: You could remove it, but I don't know what/why it's there so I'll have to look in the CK. If the above doesn't work, just do it and then Apply Script (SkyrimSE - Generate Large Refs). Select ESM, select worldspace, click okay. Done.- 78 replies

ACCEPTED Realistic Water Two SE (by isoku/SparrowPrince/TechAngel85)
TechAngel85 replied to TechAngel85's topic in Skyrim SE Mods
DynDOLOD will warn of any initially disable large refs. It's the initially disable that triggers the warning because they can cause large ref issues. https://dyndolod.info/Help/Large-References A large reference has the Initially Disabled flag can trigger the bugs. The type of plugin does not matter. It is the cause for the example shown in the video above - the problematic large reference is defined in Skyrim.esm. DynDOLOD can create workarounds for some occurrences, including the vanilla one shown in the video. For all others, a warning message Initially disabled large reference is written to the message log. It will be fixed with the next RWT update.- 78 replies

Out of curiosity, why you are against this content?
-
The ones you have to have are the ones that are masters to the Step Patches. Else, I don't think any others are strictly required though be on the lookout for things in the Mod List.
-
I agree. There are been so many updates and changes, it would be good to re-eval. Just remember there are those using the mod without ENB too, so we have to make sure the options work for both or set up a separate set of options for PP users.

New "No Particle Torch" option. All shots have Embers XD installed. The only difference is with/without the new option in the installer. PT = Particle Torch Step no ENB >> Step w/ENB w/PT >> Step w/ENB /no PT You can see the difference the particle light makes directly around the torch's location. The guard is lit up as well as everything around him. These are with Complex Grass turned on. The grass is lit with either option, but you're losing the lighting around the torches location. Step w/ENB w/PT >> Step w/ENB /no PT

Sounds like there are still quite a few things to take care of before a true seasonal experience is in place. I'm sure all this will eventually be addressed over time.

FEEDBACK v2.0.0 - Feedback & Bug Reports
TechAngel85 replied to DoubleYou's topic in Step Skyrim SE Guide
True, but the ENB can be rounded out too. It's just an alternative DoF option users can toggle on or off at their discretion. Would be off by default. -
FEEDBACK v2.0.0 - Feedback & Bug Reports
TechAngel85 replied to DoubleYou's topic in Step Skyrim SE Guide
Yeah, the default DOF is not that great and we don't have an alternative one installed at this point. We're still waiting for permissions to include some shader stuff from other authors (since we don't do shader coding). -
This isn't going to be helpful, but... 250/350 would technically be closer to an "enhanced vanilla". If it doesn't case issues with sunrise/set, then it would likely be the best fit for the Mandates. However, I like 200/282 too. It seems like it would be a good comprise without getting too far from vanilla.

FEEDBACK v2.0.0 - Feedback & Bug Reports
TechAngel85 replied to DoubleYou's topic in Step Skyrim SE Guide
I agree. Unless you're in Survival Mode and have to eat, it's food is fairly useless. Per the ENB, make sure your game settings for brightness, contrast, etc. are all in the middle. Next step would be to try to properly calibrate your monitor. I use a IPS monitor with colors that are very accurate (not $800 designer monitor accurate, but more accurate than most LCDs) and the colors are good. Nothing is clipped black or white. Note that the shadows produced from ELVaS are darker than normal and we're still balancing this out as we go. The next update should address some more of this so be sure you're tracking the mod page, if you're not. Another update should be out soon. For mod suggestions, see the Mods forum and use the "Create Mod Topic" button on the new top: Very rarely will a mod update break our guides. We try to always support the latest versions of mods, which is some unique from other Guides that are version locked to specific versions of mods until the entire Guide updates. However if we ever run into something that breaks, we typically take care of the issue within a couple of days by either updating wiki mod pages or guide instructions and/or the guide Patches. You can see changes to the live guides on the changelog under Post-Release Changes (changelog links are at the top of the guides). -
Step SkyrimSE Patches (by Step Modifications)

Thanks! That should not be in there. Here is a clean version without missing up your entire patch: Step Patch - Conflict Resolution.7z- 126 replies

Nice. So what have we learned? So far, only that drivers/driver settings are important? Why isn't Z able to? AMD vs Nvidia?
-
Updated my post with FPS benchmarking as proof. COC to Riverwood, turned off ENB, ran around, quick traveled to WR stables, ran around, and finally ended within WR Stables interior (which is where you see the FPS shoot up).
-
I was thinking more on the route of monitoring with file, like FRAPS did. I just purchased a license for FPS Monitor. Graphics settings for this is in my post (image of of Inspector).
-
If someone knows of a way to capture the framerate? I can reinstall FRAPS, but prefer not to.
-
My info: enblocal.ini SSEDisplayTweaks.iniSkyrimPrefs.ini SSEDisplayTweaks.logFPSMonitor-benchmark.csv It's nothing in Step. Regardless of profile I go over my refresh rate. (ENB toggled off) EDIT: I used this when setting up my system (thought not all of it), but I don't think there's anything in there that would affect this: https://www.edy.es/dev/docs/windows-10-setup-for-power-users/
-
That or it's SSE Display Tweaks causing it because I did a more or less vanilla profile without that mod, so I don't have that log. I'll install it to the profile and test again.
-
Actually, the profile shouldn't matter so what INI's do you want?
-
Me either considering they should all match per the Step Guide. I actually didn't do my test on a Step profile. I did it on vanilla + root mods. I'll redo on Step profile, but I'll have to toggle the ENB off to manage anything higher.
-
I read that and that could have been the case. I didn't do anything but at noon and wasn't aware it grew at sunrise/set. That makes sense, though, considering I was having a hard time controlling the blown out sunsets. Standing on the hill above Dawnstar and looking at Solitude is the spot I used. Sun would always blow out and nearly conceal all of Solitude in glare.
-
My size was between the two above with a bit less flare. I know I did it because I clearly remember staring at the sun around noon to tweak. That's why I mentioned it had to have been reverted at some point between the two of us. The top one looks like "enhanced vanilla", to me. The bottom one is a bit too small, imo.
-
Yes, but that's not how it looked when I was done with it. It was smaller and a lot less flary. CW is weather, not ENB...I don't get the correlation? Do they recommended settings I wasn't aware of?
