  1. We did because it breaks immersion. The screen blood appears as splatters on a flat surface such as a camera rather than blurring the vision.
  2. I'll have to check it out in-game later. I'm not set up for testing mode right now.
  3. EotW is more true to vanilla. Nightshade looks like an ENB was being used because of the color change (I know one wasn't...just looks like it). However, Nightshade's details seem to be better. From those compares alone, I'd have to go with EotW. We need to add whatever acronym EotW stands for.
  4. I've been watching this mod and I'd like to see more mushrooms covered before adding it to STEP. The reason being is because it might fit fairly well now but not down the road when more mushrooms are covered...it might not. So far I like them all. They're a bit of an artistic direction, but they are nice works. I especially like the added touch of the roots. The Fly Amanita needs more white spots as the vanilla is far more realistic (by looking at real life pictures).
  5. It could be reduced some. That was DYs beast so I'd hit him up in doing that.
  6. I think many users and several staff have stated they prefer DY's new template (one on the right) because it... Saves screen space because some complex FOMODs end up being a very, very long, long page It mimics the actual FOMOD installation and is thus immediately intuitive in it's instruction and installation
  7. TPB is back up in limited capacity if we need to use it. I don't know of any reliable torrent sites.
  8. Ah, how inconvenient. That's going to make it a chore to find all the threads marked for testing unless the search function works. Though the tags do seem to be working now: https://forum.step-project.com/tags/forums/testing/
  9. So the fix would be to add the topic tags back in?
  10. Just something I noticed today as I was properly marking some threads for testings. Some threads that are tagged are not showing in the results. For example: https://forum.step-project.com/topic/3813-amidianborn-imperial-forts-by-cabal/ (marked with the testing prefix) https://forum.step-project.com/tags/forums/testing/ (not showing up in results) I should mention that it was tagged with 'testing' in the Topic Tags. When I deleted that tag and added the proper Topic Prefix (testing), it disappeared from the results and as not shown back up. I've waited all day for this think it might be a forum cache issue and will resolve itself, but it was yet to do that. This has effect multiple mods that I added the correct prefix to today. I did see the option to rebuild the cache in the AP, but didn't want to touch that as I'm not positive the issue is the cache.
  11. If you weren't so new to the community we could see about getting you access but as it is, doing as S4N suggests by posting in a thread is the best solution right now. I love that you're wanting to help and appreciate you taking it upon yourself to do this.
  12. You can't edit that tab unless you are STEP Staff. It is not editable to normal users.
  13. It is a concern that I'll bring up because those notes and instructions affect the STEP Guide itself in some cases.
  14. You can remove the old one once the new one and set up and working. I am curious how you're editing those tho. I thought that part of the form was locked to just Staff.
  15. Notice: As of STEP 2.2.8, we are only actively supporting Skyrim Legendayr Ed. (all DLCs) - We continue to 'passively' support other DLC/non-DLC configurations as an artifact of having done so previously. However, moving forward, all new content will assume Legendary Ed. We will gradually phase out information pertaining to limited DLC components. Overview: STEP 2.2.9 marked our final step towards 2.3.0. However there is still much work to be done for STEP to be ready to make the move to v2.3.0. Because of this and there being no time frame for development, we have decided to do an incremental release, v2.2.9.1. This release will mainly be a mod release, meaning that we'll only be testing and reviewing mods. Since this is a community driven project and site, we would like to encourage users to tag mods they'd like to see in STEP. To do this, please add a 'testing' tag to the desired mods. This will allow us to filter the mods and review them. Mods that we think fit into the STEP project will be officially marked for testing and mods that do not will simply have the 'testing' tag removed. Dev Guide v2.9.9.1 Changelog (still updating) For replacers, the test case should be a high-quality screenshot compare. We don't need a lot, just two or three sets of compares on the thread marked [ TESTING ]. The idea is that testing --and logging of that activity on the threads-- will be touch & go for a lot of mods, and it should be pretty clear by anyone stumbling upon any mod thread what the end result is. Let us know if you want to be a Mod Tester! We're always looking for official testers! 16. Any dummy plugins can be deactivated in the Archives tab. STEP doesn't recommend to extract BSAs though unless it's for conflict resolution. Currently there aren't any mods in STEP that require extraction.
  17. The maximum is actually now 131072 (128GB)...but that is crazy as only servers would have that much RAM. Have no idea why Boris is allowing so much RAM to be used for ENBoost unless isn't just a side effect of enbhost.exe being enabled for 64bit systems.
  18. 10240 is the max I always tell users. With that much VRAM, you probably don't even need ENBoost.
  19. The reason would be this very post. The BCFs are no longer being maintained and are out of date. This BCFs is most likely one of them and will no longer work. None of the Staff is using WB anymore to be able to maintain them and the only one that I know might be interested in keeping them up and updated is Z.
  20. I'm not familiar with you're combination of mods so I'm PM Mangaclub and see if he has any thoughts.
  21. Here's one of my shots using Vividian Vanilla: It will be dependent on both weather and time of day whether or not you see the rays.
  22. Those are Volumetric Rays and are mainly seen during sunrises and sunsets. Try looking at the sunset from outside Whiterun and see what it looks like. EDIT: You can speed up the time by opening the console and typing in: set timescale to 1000Be sure when you're done to return it to its default: set timescale to 20
  23. I can't remember what Vividian's sun looks like, but that looks like the Procedural Sun to me. What are you trying to do specifically?
  24. True, I've actually been considering upgrading some of my textures to the HQ ones where it makes sense. I have a GTX 760 with 4GB of VRAM. I need to monitor the VRAM use before doing this though. Most of my textures (if not all) are staying on the card at the moment and I would like this to remain so.
