  1. This is one of my main reasons as well. Some of my friends have had so many issues with AMD but some are die hard Team Red fans. The most recent funny that happened was a friend bought an AMD card (don't remember the model) and then turned around two months later to get a GTX 960 because the drivers were crap for the games he was playing. I haven't ran an AMD in 10+ years (they were still ATi back then). I've never had a single issue with Nvidia. They've always been solid in their stability.
  2. I have been curious about that and one of the main reasons I have tested it just to that point yet is because I'm running the stock cooler. Don't want to push it too much with that on there.
  3. All STEP related mod pages that need a special LOOT rule should already have that rule in place on the mod page.
  4. Thanks. I'm actually very proficient when it comes to computers/hardware/networks. All of my traditional schooling is in IT. The reason I have a K version is because if the need ever arises, I can overclock it and get nearly the same performance as a stock i7. On that point, however, I have yet to find any reason to overclock as it currently handles everything I do just fine. I even fold in the background most of the time without issue. So my reason for the K version was future-proofing my system since I can't afford to upgrade very often. As for overclocking itself, I have no issues in that area either. I have an ASUS z87 board. If I wanted to, I could press one button and the system would automatically run through a series of tests and pick the most stable overclock automatically (ASUS AI Suite 3). My system RAM is the only thing in my system that is slightly overclocked.
  5. Took care of the changelog for ya.
  6. It's part of a compilation now: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/13268/
  7. Cool. I added it to the dev op.
  8. Personally, I have yet to find a reason to overclock my i5... curious to know the reasons why you guys did.
  9. Any other vote for or against? I've had it in my setup for a month now. It's a simple mod that does a simple task. Not much else to say besides it works.
  10. It's an option for some but not all. Lets table discussion of Procedural Sun for later and just test this compare.
  11. Updated OP with another set in a different location. I'm torn on this one. The re-texture is darker and no longer matches the surrounding stone, but it is an improvement...only a slight one. Is it enough of an improvement to matter? Idk...probably not.
  12. Compares!!!! STEP (vanilla) >> Realistic Sun - Vanilla >> Realistic Sun - Warm Video: My thoughts: I don't care for this mod. The reason being is that it is a stretch from vanilla and I don't like how the rays move as the player moves. It's a cool effect, but more of a "looking through a lens" effect that breaks immersion for me. Procedural Sun from ENB is far better and hopefully we'll have some official lighting overhauls soon which will eliminate the need for a sun texture mod.
  13. I updated the OP with a list of the mods which have been accepted for this release. I'm doing this because our new forum works a bit different with our process of testing and accepting. Before the accepted mods would simply get moved to the bottom of the list once accepted. This was done via pinning the threads as we had a separate forum for testing. With the new forum all this is done in the Mods forum and mods are separated out via the tagging system. In this new process, once mods are tagged as Accepted they disappear from the Testing page so users can no longer simply scroll down the page to see what has made the cut. Therefore, posting the Accepted mods to the OP will help users keep track of what mods have been accepted and which ones didn't make the cut and were simply removed from Testing. I've also moved the two Accepted mods into their proper Anthology forums.
  14. No worries. Ours is actually STEP specific and excludes any conflicts in a STEP install. So your version will still be needed and very helpful to anyone not using a full and complete STEP installation.
  15. Marking this one as Accepted for 2.2.9.1
  16. Yeah, my Nexus ID (with link to user page) is in my signature below every one of my posts.
  17. I was not referring to an ESP to modify weathers. I was referring to custom weathers via ENB. Some ENBs just modify the main enbseries.ini file and call it a day. Others dive more into it by using the per weather settings that are available with ENB by turning on "EnableMultipleWeathers". Was not talking about the Extended Weathers mod from Vividian.
  18. If it's running more smoothly now, you can try bumping it up to the next resolution and see how things go. Changing monitor resolutions won't harm anything. If it doesn't work out, simply revert it back and all will be good.
  19. These do look really good:
  20. Yeah, we already manage a few mods for authors (Soul Gems Differ comes to mind as well as Kryto's stuff if she's given us the rights to that...can't remember if she's done that yet or not). Adding your mods wouldn't be an issue. I know that EssArrBee has been trying to get WilliamImm to let us manage his as well since he continually says updates/patches are coming but they never do.
  21. Ah, someone didn't follow the installation Guide: https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Skyrim_Installation#Installation_and_Configuration
  22. Texture resolution I have referring to is 1K, 2K, 4K textures when you download a mod and install it. If you plan on playing at such a low monitor resolution, then you will not need anything over 1K textures. This will reduce memory load and as a result, reduce stuttering.
  23. No we're using the same. That was an old image from an old version.
  24. You never know. Doing this fixed a completely unrelated issue in another thread. It's worth a shot. Also, could you post a screenshot of your Executable screen in MO with SKSE selected? This will give us a visual. Lastly, your SKSE setup within MO should look like this: Make sure the file type for SKSE.ini says "ini File".
  25. Did you ever update DirectX? Download and run both of these. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=34429 https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35
