This would be a complete placebo. VideoMemorySizeMb only tells the enbhost.exe process how much memory it can use. That doesn't mean the process will use that much memory. It most likely is not. Take for example my system. My VideoMemorySizeMb is set to 7735; however, enbhost.exe rarely uses more than 2GB. This means I could set it closer to 3072 is be just fine. However there would be absolutely no performance difference between 7735 and 3072 because enbhost.exe is only ever using 2048 of that value. So anyone thinking they get better performance, it is most likely a placebo.

ENB Series brightness/contrast issues
TechAngel85 replied to DocDigital's question in Post-Processing Support
I would start by incorporating ELE into your setup. It normalizes lighting and allows authors/tweakers to do exactly what you're wanting to do. -
I'm sure EssArrBee is sort it out soon. He's busy and usually a few days behind mod releases.

Audio Overhaul for Skyrim 2 not working.

Have you tried the new version of MO and AOS to see if they fix any of your issues? -
The Most Important Question of All (for me)
TechAngel85 replied to john7's question in General Skyrim LE Support
There shouldn't be any mods in STEP that would prevent you from using a controller. -
The Most Important Question of All (for me)
TechAngel85 replied to john7's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Those mods shouldn't give even controller users issues, but if you find they do they can be skipped/uninstalled without issue. -
Possibly. What I meant was... Most, if not all testing has been put on hold until we sort some stuff out behind the scenes bc most of the staff is focused on that stuff instead.

Yes, but will be later before we can compare. Busy busy busy.

If you're using the STEP Optimized Vanilla Textures from our Nexus page you don't need to mess with DDSopt unless you're just wanting to learn it.

MY game is not working right
TechAngel85 replied to Razorsedge877's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Yep, same issue as having vsync off really. 60hz, 60fps...That is Skyrim's limit. -
In other words, see if he's updated any of the textures or meshes for the vanilla stuff. I would imagine that he'd update the basic version as well if he had, but you never know. EDIT: From the sounds of his Nexus page, there doesn't seem to be anything we can update. We use basic. Regular version simply adds in those non-vanilla assets. v2.+ comes with completely new meshes and textures for trees but this requires beefier PC requirements. We could support all versions: Basic for Core and Regular for Extended. v2.+ would have to be user choice since it requires more graphics power to run it, but no reason to exclude it from Extended, imo.

That's exactly what I remember that setting doing because I tested it on the trees around Whiterun as well.

ACCEPTED Not So Fast - Main Quest (by cdcooley)
TechAngel85 replied to WilliamImm's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I'll probably add this to my next playthrough, but it's probably not for STEP. I guess it would depend on how many of the staff feel that the main story progresses too fast. I feel it does. The one and only time I completed the main quest, my PC's level and skills where far too low (I think still in the 30's). I was not prepared for most of the quests in the later half and ended up finishing the game in god mode or I'd die in seconds of getting into battles. A bit of time between main events would be great, imo. -
The only reason we haven't added it and stuck with basic is because all the extras that 2.+ adds to the game that isn't in the vanilla game.

Audio Overhaul for Skyrim 2 not working.
TechAngel85 replied to NomenNescio's question in Mod Organizer Support
If the SSD caused issues I'm curious if it's issues that has something to do with load times (too fast) or just errors in the SSD. -
Audio Overhaul for Skyrim 2 not working.

I was going to recommend a defrag on the HDD if that hasn't been done yet. -
I'm thinking of the setting that causes grass to cast shadow so this could be something different entirely.

Yes, it does something with ENB. At least I'm fairly sure the last time i checked but I could be thinking of another setting entirely. I'm at work so I can't check my setup right now. You'll have to be careful about those settings that ENB needs.

DROPPED Telvanni Reborn (by Mystery Modder)
TechAngel85 replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
That's what I'm trying to find out. I've sent out a message to that Reddit user account. We'll see what happens. -
Cool. I updated my setting to reflect the changes.

Understandable. Can you provide a link to the Reddit page or post? -
Perhaps some good INI tweaks for STEP will come out of this.

That last quote doesn't apply here because there isn't any way to "find out on your own" which factions you belong to, at any given time, in the vanilla game. You only find out which factions you belong to when doing those quests. Likewise, this mod only displays the factions which you belong to. So you're never finding out any information which you shouldn't already know. This mod just adds a way to keep track of that information. Would it be more immersive if the author provided a version which the information is in a journal that would update as you progress? Probably. But until that version comes along, this is the next best thing.
