  1. If you can think of any why to clarify the recommendation, please do so: https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:ENBlocal_INI/Memory#ExpandSystemMemoryX64 I've never been a fan of Z's technical warning as most would not be able to understand it. I just added a link to your post above though.
  2. Why is this still an issue with the new STEP Patches? Just download the non-ELE/RS version and you should be good to go.
  3. The SFO 2.3 is going to be your culprit. There is some file in that version that is being overwritten which STEP hasn't accounted for. We've never tested that version, so you'll have to get to searching for this issue texture.
  4. I have two 120mm fans. One on the front as an intake and one on the back for exhaust. I then mounted my PSU (btw, get a case with a bottom mounted PSU) in an exhaust position to create a bit of negative pressure in the case (which cools better due to better airflow). Thing is I rarely ever hear my PC. With my ASUS board and the included AI Suite 3 software, I have a really good solution for fan control and even stable overclocking of the entire system, right from my desktop.
  5. Disable Hybridges HD and check it. I'm not familiar with that mod. The rest should be fine as long as they're set up correctly. Also assuming you're using the STEP recommended version of SFO.
  6. Yes and it depends in the amount of games, but I'd say yes for the game SSD as well. You really don't need more than that for an OS drive. I install nearly everything to my secondary partition so my OS partition remains fairly small in contrast.
  7. Add nothing overwriting the trees in SFO?
  8. Make sure you have hidden the correct files in TreesHD.
  9. Keep things in the order they are in on the Guide. Simple as that. This page will help to determine which patch to use: https://wiki.step-project.com/STEP_Patches_Requirements
  10. The next version of the patches will have the lighting records removed so that STEP is more compatible with user's custom lighting solutions which differs from STEP's.
  11. MSI Afterburner is the main cause of this issue. I just didn't mention it because most people do not use it as it is now fairly well known to cause issues like this. Drop it and cap your framerate using Nvidia Inspector instead.
  12. An update file would be okay. Merging would be overwriting the file in xEdit. Most of the fixes are navmeshes and those can't be merged. I'd have to test it to see how it would work out.
  13. Pretty sure my PSU is a EVGA. It's been rock solid. I use an ASUS IPS panel monitor. Great colors, great viewing angles.
  14. Haven't gotten anything yet, but I'd have to think about that one. It would mean redoing all the work I've already done again...for a third time...eh. I'd also most likely have to run through them every change I make...eh. Unless I had full freedom to do as I wished, it might not be worth the investment. I guess we'll see. The main purpose of this extension is to fill the gap between now and when the authors return. They don't consider the mod to be "abandoned", although they still post from time to time, two years without an update is pretty abandoned imo because if the mod isn't getting updated and fixed then it's just going to die out. Proof of this are the users thanking me for the updates and fixes. They love the player home, but can't support it if the authors don't support them with needed fixes and updates. I really have no beef with the authors. I'm just stating my views. I love this player home mod. If I didn't, I wouldn't bother fixing it up and making it more functional for more play styles.
  15. You brave guinea pigs you. Look at you go! Haha! Who waited for the confirmation to upgrade and who forced it with the method posted?
  16. Thanks for sharing. I found it very attention grabbing. Love the lore part
  17. Not completed my test for this yet. I'll try and do it my next day off.
  18. Are you running any programs that adds overlays on the screen? Graphics card tweaking programs, ENBSeries, screen capture programs, framerate monitors, etc.?

  20. That's the same thing that DY posted, just a different website.
  21. We're already considering switching to the extended version for more compatibility down the road with other mods.
  22. I never really asked for a link, but putting one up would be nice so that player's new to this great house mod (like me) would know that there's a mod available that fixes things until the authors return and fix these things themselves. Though it's been nearly two years since the last update. As for the scripts, I haven't decided on this yet. The authors used a modder's resource which is linked in their description. If it needs fixing, that resource would need to be fixed. I've thought about switching it out for that General Stores mod just for the experience. One of the users on Nexus also suggested this. With doing this switch, I've thought about doing away with the auto-sort feature to make it more realistic and more lore and vanilla friendly. That might not be well received though because it is a convenient feature to have. General Stores has an auto-sort feature as well, but there are some issues with it that aren't present when you don't use it. The thing is, I don't know if the current scripts are broken under normal use or not. I've not experienced any issues yet. I know some users like to increase their carry weight using the console to effectively cheat. This practice will not be supported. So if the current scripts don't break under normal use, there's no point in changing the system out. What I really need is more feedback. I've asked users to report any issues, but apparently they're just happy issues are getting fixed. None have really said what the issues are. I'll have to dig through the original mod's posts to find them, I guess.
  23. Not that I'm aware, but I've never tried either.
  24. Navmeshing isn't really hard to do. It's optimizing it that's more difficult. I'm learning as I go, but have pretty much got navmeshes down. We'll be moving on to some other things soon like adding the room for followers.
  25. No, there are several masters in the patches. Just doing that will result in CTD upon game launch.
