  1. Re- Wildlife; ripple posts:"You've made giant mantis more aggressive--which is fine and makes things more interesting. The problem is that you also edited the giant mantis guarding Keeley in Vault 22, which ensures that she will be dead when the player get sthere and the optional quest cannot be completed. Just removing that specific entry will fix this. However, I haven't gone through the plugin in great detail so I would recommend you look through the entries to identify any critters might be quest related and not modify them, just in case their default behaviour is necessary to the quest." So that's one concern, also compatibility although F&L doesn't have anything else altering fauna. Path Lighting sounds great. (in other news, lots to investigate on the ToF&L front, I'm totally immersed in th TTW mod forum looking for stable candidates to review).
  2. I've rarely run into the issue myself, and that's with Dragon Combat Overhaul & Deadly Dragons installed. The two times it occurred for me (in the past 6 months or so I've played with those dragon mods, never had it without) I just opened the console and marked the corpses for deletion. IMO not needed in STEP, maybe as an option in a "Dragon Pack".
  3. Well, that was a breeze. The scripts make & step by step make it Red-proof, good stuff. F&L Capital Wasteland seems unnecessary to me, who wouldn't want FO3 running on the FNV engine? It would be like playing something other than the FNV Ultimate or TES5 Legendary, why ... before anyone says it my answer is Steam Sale (a wise Incompatibilism Manager tipped me off to a $5 FO3 deal, no kidding). Anyway, I'm planning to setup both F&L+ (maximized Mojave goodness) & ToF&L (everything compatible that's fit to cram[TM] in there) profiles, and then clone them for separate characters &/or mod testing.
  4. Outstanding, quick question: it seems that there are four choices for FO3 & three choices for FNV ... I'm having trouble matching the medium FNV with the correct FO3 file, do you think the Large (2k with 1k normals) is the matching file?
  5. RE- ENB ... ninja'd by SRB ... in short: I've heard good things about Tapioks Enhanced Shaders, but I use Diablotherium myself.
  6. Looks like Vurt's Flora Overhaul: Forested FO3 / Fertile FNV and EVE compatiblity is going to be a bit of a project. Posted by AndroidOS in the TTW Vurts Flora Overhaul Forum; "I also wanted to get the forested overhaul working with TTW EVE, so I followed chucksteel's instructions on converting a mod, and your's for cleaning up DC Flora Overhaul. Thanks guys, it worked. I've attached my converted and cleaned esp to this post for anyone that's interested. It's just the DC flora overhaul. I've walked around for about half an hour and haven't seen any problems, as far as I can tell. I'm no master though, so there's probably going to be small issues left that I didn't notice. To get it to work, follow TJ's instructions on the first page for purging cell buffers and waiting in an interior location, then save your game and exit. Download Flora Overhaul forested edition from the FO3 Nexus, install it through FOMM and replace the esp with mine. Next, you want to delete the LOD files in the meshes folder (go to your NV data folder and search for lod, it should be the one called LOD under meshes. To be extra safe, download TJ's loose files and do a comparison in your data folder.) Open up FOMM and toggle archive invalidation. Now we're going to download delta's LOD (link in OP) and install it into your NV data folder. Load your save and do another PCB/wait for cell respawn, toggle AI. Now, you should have TTW EVE and forested flora overhaul working properly together! Thanks to TJ, Drain-O, Delta, and Chucksteel for the guide!" * post is a work in progress, I'm still cobbling it together from forum conversations, more to come, will edit.
  7. Re- limit: I was thinking the bsa character limit was the soft plugin limit, now I understand there are two. I also noticed you included that in your new thread (purdy colors). It may not be an issue with TTW as the number of compatible mods may keep the total down, at least initially. Seems wrong to pair moderation with something inspired by Hunter Thompson, but I'll do my best. I thought Pipboy 3000 was already in (it was suggested by someone sometine, old thread maybe?), if not it should be, Simple retexture so less compatibility issues than the 2500 or Readius. +1 to enb fake full screen
  8. Here's the Tale of Two Wastelands forum to get y'all started, if you don't have the patience to feed the name to the googlemonster. Notable patches hosted there; TTW Alpha Download v2.6.3a link to the current release. Official Bugfix Pack for TTW forum - download link "For all of you who wished YUP was compatible wih TTW, or uFO3P was compatible with TTW... now they are. This mod consists of the best bugfixes for both games, lovingly primed up to work properly with TTW." DarNifiedUI TTW Edition forum - download link "Now fully compatible with oHud (senior moment over), except the brackets don't show up for some reason which will be investagated in the next development stage." Install instructions. Nevada Skies latest version (already in F&L) has a TTW.esp in the main file, swap it for the FNV.esp by hiding the other under "optional files" in MO. TTW Streetlights Fixed forum - download link Requires Fallout Streetlights v2 for FO3 & Simple Streetlights Extra for FNV if you're into the whole uniformity thing. If you prefer the F&L approved ElectroCity, download the original files linked above and replace the esm with this or this, they do the same thing. Project Nevada TTW Patch forum - download link "Provides compatibility between Project Nevada's features and Tale of Two Wastelands by: - Removing duplicate weapons, ammo, and armor along with adding PN's chargeable weapon feature to select Fallout 3 weapons.- Adding enhanced vision modes and visor vision to appropiate headwear.- Allowing certain FO3 characters to perform cybernetic surgery and the ability to find PN's implants in the Capital Wasteland.- Rebalancing food and drink to comply with TTW's standards and PN's. (WIP)" So that's just a start, I'll edit in more from that thread later tonight. Hopefully I'll have some empirical results & accompanying suggestions this weekend.
  9. Do you have a hard number for plugin limit, or is it the 255 character bsa asset limit I have to stay under? If its just bsa, then I'll extract those that are stable/unlikely to update and attempt to exercise some moderation. I believe alternate start does have to go on a new game, as you start in Vault in FO3. However, forum talk indicates your existing saves will work (I don't currently have any I want to try). I've got bit of reading to do before having the confidence I need to jump into this, so might be the weekend before I have any empirical results to post in the other thread. Could be I use my shiny new MO to have both F&L and F&L/TTW Convergence profiles.
  10. You are too honest, "better to beg forgiveness than ask permission". Personally, I thought (think) that the DLC version is the superior "fix" since it's inspired by Beth's own assets and (for me) isn't anymore drastic an "improvement" than Ren's Shrines (for example, recolor &/or texture vanilla shrines), or different fonts or objectives that change vanilla content for the better while keeping the spirit & intent of the original. I think you accomplished that, but I acknowledge I'm in the minority with that opinion ... ... so in the interest of consensus building I would vote for the non-Dg version as Core & the Dg version as an Extended option. @ ninja Aiyen, I think there's a preview of what's next on the Serenity forums, pretty picture, you can't miss it.
  11. I'm surfing the TTW forum for compatibility issues and combo mods to DL later, I'll hold off spamming my finds until you open a F&L TTW Convergence thread.
  12. Definitely. I think I'm likely to start a TTW playthrough now that I've got MO for FNV sorted, and I probably won't want to go back to "just" FNV. That is assuming my F&L assets work as expected, which I'll report to the TTW thread.
  13. Really liking the what I'm reading about TTW, I think Imma need to troubleshoot using this with F&L. I see there is an official patch that incorporates YUP, and active Nevada Skies support with a dedicated plugin in 'Skies main download. Also a PN compatibility patch, I see an EVE WIP patch that alludes to potential WMX support.
  14. I got it free with my pc, still haven't played it yet, or Splinter Cell, or Assassin's IV. Modded Skyrim is so time-demanding, and FNV, and thanks to you tipping me off to $5usd FO3 GOTY I've got to mod that now. Goodbye summer, I'll miss you.
  15. I was unable to connect to their servers earlier this evening, but my updating are rolling now. Summer peaktime overload perhaps?
  16. Okay, you got me, take my money. Thanks for the tip, $5 GOTY not a bad deal at all. Now I have to research TTW a bit more seriously. & in other news I am able to DL from Nexus again so that's running, along with FO3GOTY from Steam and TTW from their site. How 'bout that information super highway.
  17. I don't know, but I'll find out if you can tell me what I have to do to get connection to Nexus servers.
  18. but ... I really wanted to use the "update button", I haven't pushed that yet.
  19. When I opened MO today a message regarding same popped up (you might open MO if you haven't already). Now I just need Nexus server availability (a rare commodity these days) to use the built in update feature.
  20. Right, exactly what I meant, except you have to reverse all my comments after midnight. Also don't feed me or spill water on me, bad things happen.
  21. An elegant solution, "purple" is so the new "read the sticky", or was it orange, maybe black?
  22. Safe trip Keith, enjoy some stateside.
  23. I haven't renumbered ids on any the of the merged patches I've posted, I figured it defaulted to "don't" for a reason.
  24. Definitely bite someone, it will be a good lesson to the others. Remember, it was victim precipitated violence, pretty sure that will hold up in court (I've used it before, worked).
