  2. Question re REGS - SR:LE patch: It has ETaC South Dragonbridge as a master, but the REGS guide (and ETaC installer) tells me not to install ETaC South Dragonbridge due to FAtT. Help?

With my conclusion being the pair from Nexus might be better supported (and by better I mean in relation to the community's experience with regard to current Nexus content).

My concern regarding FAtT was (quoting the REGS pack): "Fight Against the Thalmor II - The Cyrodiil Frontier Warning: This mod is known to cause 100% reproducible CTDs (even on its own) and has therefore been removed from the guide. This entry is just here so you know that you shouldn't download it at the moment, hence the absence of a link to the mod." I've also had reproducible CTDs with 13oranges Oakwood village, and no productive response from him regarding that. Also his mods are Steam exclusive so not much in the way of informed forum comments (no need to debate whether Nexus forum comments are informed in this thread) so my thinking was that TES Arena Frontier & Salem (both actively supported and updated) might be better alternatives (at least for me, not trying to rewrite the REGS pack just sharing my thoughts). I'm probably better of hitting the "books" (read: "wiki") and learning to make a proper compatibility patch for my particular load order, which I'll do after I finish DDSopt-imizing my STEP & SR - LE mods (vanilla was a breeze with the batch files provided).

Received response, quoting Arthmoor: "The above is correct about RSkyrimChildren.esm. There are no conflicting edits at all between it and the USKP. Not even with the current development track for 2.0.6. The rule has no reason to exist in this case. RSChildren - Complete.esp cannot be sorted before the USKP since it's a regular ESP file, not a false-flagged file." My response: Excellent, thanks for the confirmation. Unfortunately I can't delete that rule from LOOT as it isn't user added (unless I'm missing something). Any ideas on how I could report this to the appropriate LOOT team (unless posting here is a proper report)? *waiting*

  11. Wow, just wow. Currently LOOT reports the following: arnima.espCRC: 6C0A1FFA no mention of ITM or UDR to be cleaned, is there another approach I should take to investigate further? According to forum posts it sounds like the mod is receiving a lot of attention, so perhaps the UDR issue has been taken care of? Remember, I did say "may not be ready for prime time" ;-)

I feel comfortable using Wrye to switch up the ELE master (since Nearox's merge content is part of my own merge) but I'm not sure what problems I would create by using the compatibility patch without the FAtT mods it expects to be present. Any insight into whether that's (removing the Dragonmourn Inn master) a good idea?

  14. I too have been using SIC with the compatible HLE and enjoy it quite a bit, there is also an SIC integrated SkyTEST that I've also used and enjoyed. Edit: Regarding your next post I'm getting lazy, sorry for not linking, fixed. I sould properly refer to it as SkyTEST Integration Project.
  15. Gotcha, I too have 2gb (GTX 670) so I'll optimize NMC medium to 1k exteriors as you recommend and leave Poco as is (since its already optimized from the original Bueno if I understand you correctly). I need to take a break from tweaking Skyrim and give FNV/TTW some attention and testing.

  21. Just finished optimizing my Skyrim vanilla textures, your wiki & batch files made it a breeze, thanks! Moving on to the STEP mods now, and looking forward to FNV after.
  22. Actually none of us are forced to choose anymore, ETaC will be merging with Immersive Settlements.
  23. BSW is just meshes, so you should be fine to drag and drop in MO's left pane (caveat: I'm not an expert, take my advice at your own risk). For additional safety you might launch the game, go somewhere indoors and private and unequip your weapons, so that none of the vanilla meshes are being rendered, then save and do your drag and drop in MO and all should be well. I don't believe you need to run DSR after moving BSW, I believe MO will use the proper textures and the existing DSR patch should be happy, hopefully someone more knowledgeable will correct me if I'm mistaken.
  24. Well, that is ... unexpected. I've been optimizing textures and haven't played since downloading Dwemertech, I think I'll give it it's own profile, probably with the musket mod, and see how often that amuses me. In my mainstream profiles I do look forward to investigating TES Arena Frontier as well as Beyond Reach. I'm not sure if the reach mod is ready for prime time yet, but the forum posts have me thinking it is progressing nicely.

I just started an Argonian from the Alternate Start Shipwreck, and I think RW2 with waves and SkyTEST (if that's what put slaughterfish in the ocean, hadn't seen them before) plus ETaC are conspiring to take down my performance (oh yeah add Serenity effects on top), but DDSopt should help (glad to have the STEP wiki back for the DDSopt tutorial, couldn't check that off my list this last weekend, running through it now just finished Vanilla Optimized).
