  1. Oh you're right! How did I not think about that? I've been using the Main font replacement mod since the day I started using mods, because the default font is absolutely horrible. This is not good news at all, but at least I know nothing is, technically speaking, wrong. I wonder if it's possible to create such font that wouldn't cause problems like this... That Fertigo Pro looks great. With some side effects, obviously :/
  2. That has nothing to do with the textures. It's just a message ENB gives you under certain circumstances after you load a save.
  3. I always had some weird problems with overlapping text in the MCM for some mods, and never figured out what could be the cause. With one mod some time last year, it seemed like I was the only one who had the problem and the author couldn't see anything wrong. Puzzling. I've recently found some interest in Skyrim after numerous months, and instantly ran into this problem again. These are screenshots from the MCM for CCOR. Since it's happening with not just one but several mods, I thought it could be the texts were simply too long to fit in, but then there's the case of one mod where noone else seemed to have the problem. I was also thinking it could be something about SkyUI itself, but Schlangster is generally adamant about the mod being perfectly fine (and I guess we should believe him), or that my monitor has aspect ratio (16:10) which isn't compatible, but there's code specifically for that in SkyUI, so I am completely clueless. Does the MCM for CCOR show like this for anyone else here?
  4. I took two screenshots, both using the 2k version. original: optimized: The forum probably doesn't like Mediafire, so full size images: original - optimized. Bottom line is - take it or leave it. I just posted my observations. The differences are not huge, but I like my game perfect, so it's nobrainer for me. Everyone is free to do (or don't) whatever he likes with his game.
  5. Like I said, the difference ingame is not that big, but it's still obvious enough. The preview feature doesn't work for me, because it's all stretched and I don't know what I'm looking at (when you enlarge the window, because the default one is so small you surely will not notice any blockiness). If you open the textures in normal viewer capable of working with DDS format, you will instantly see what I'm talking about.
  6. All of them. I simply started DDSOpt with the alternate constraints settings from the Wiki here (but I think it doesn't matter at all), selected the appropriate folders and clicked process.
  7. That's exactly what I was thinking. Since I mostly use highest resolution textures available, at first I thought perhaps the 2k version was an upscale, but no, even the 1k (pictured above) was blocky as hell. The difference ingame is not as drastic as comparing the raw textures, but it surely is there.
  8. I've noticed (actually I did several months ago already, but I've remembered it today) something that might be of some importance. It always puzzled me what the heck was wrong with the textures. This is how it looks straight from the archive: Then I thought to run them through DDSOpt. Whoa... That's a HUGE difference. I briefly checked ingame, and the map indeed looks a bit better. Feel free to try as well.
  9. These textures are in some obscure resolutions: 556x556 and 812x812. Is that a problem?
  10. That's the new mod. People might not have noticed, but he released new mod with almost the same name, which makes use of the new ENB hack (or whatever that is) for terrain parallax. I don't like it, looks like plastic, but some people do. Anyway, the mod in this thread is Vivid Landscapes - Tundra Moss Revised, and the one you're talking about is Vivid Landscapes - Tundra Region. It's fairly confusing.
  11. Krypto, did you say elsewhere that you were working on an update to the Content addon? What will the update consist of?
  12. The wine bottles from Silly Level... are really nice. I especially like the stickers from that mod, and certainly would have difficult time giving up on them.
  13. You could use Jaxonz Positioner to hard lock the bottles in place, which should eliminate such problems.
  14. I switched to the quivers from BSW long time ago. They look a lot more realistic to me and the position is more natural.
  15. What kind of question is that? Why don't you just install it?
  16. Yes, I've had it installed for a few months and used almost all the alphas. Never had a problem. The powerful PC suggestion is there for a reason though. If you could run the game on ultra and with lots of mods before, it's highly unlikely you'd suddenly have problems upgrading from SFO 1.x though.
  17. It's not needed, it's just awesome, that's the only reason. Tons of effects to choose from and combine.
  18. I think people should start using Enchanged Arsenal instead. It's a bit overwhelming, but superior to this in every aspect.
  19. I know this is not very helpful, but RadeonPro is dead. The guy was hired by AMD (I think) to work on something that could probably be seen as a partial competition, and he basically abandoned this. It's also very outdated. I'd look for alternatives for whatever it is you want to do with it.
  20. Mystery Modder's stuff is gone from Nexus though, so Ren's mod sounds like the only available option...
  21. I was just about to suggest the donation. Incidentally, I might have found a simple and cheap way of doing so today. It's probably not very legal despite the keys being legit, but most people don't care as long as they have working OS. https://www.reddit.com/r/microsoftsoftwareswap/comments/2qowad/h_windows_7_8_81_windows_server_office_visio/
  22. I think you're overthinking it. Either people trust it or they do not. I don't even know what will the new version bring (except for new GUI), but I'll just download it and accept what it does to my load order, because it DOES know better than me.
  23. The fox is, I believe, something of a workaround to make the camera moving around the player work. Something similar is being used for Vilja for one of features. The blocking can be resolved from within the MCM on per item basis. I used the mod for some time, but unfortunately the cons outweighted the pros for me.
  24. Anyone tried asking Fadingsignal whether he plans to do a female mod as well? That would likely solve all the difficulties with packs like these I think.
  25. That skunky123 guy has a huge attitude problem and is only able to respond in an extremely hostile manner. It's good thing he's gone. And frankly, 90% of his texture pack is (was) one disgusting upscale dragged through the same Photoshop noise-like filter over and over. "Interestingly", it's (was) the same thing with MysteryModder's standalone textures.
