No faux pas at all. It's called opinions. Let's agree to disagree. And yes I shouldn't have vented my dislike for anime and frustration from seeing so many such themed mods every day. This mod is not bad at all, compared to the majority of other such mods on Nexus.

I'll take vanilla children over 99% of the mods on Skyrim anytime of a day. Goddamn stupid anime jumping at me from around every corner. Honestly, japenese stuff should remain in Japan. This looks like it _could_ be the 1%. It still looks... I can't describe it! ENB-cartoonish?, but at least not anime.

Hmm, looks like that project Sheson is working on really needs to see the light of a day, because if I understood it correctly, it would let people generate all the LODs manually for their specific game.

But what LOD generation are you talking about? I thought LODs are always vanilla, unless someone bothers with creating new ones (hardly anyone does that). Maybe I don't understand, but I don't think anything is being generated anywhere. I'm not sure how LODs negatively affect performance, when in fact the purpose is to render simplified models at distance?

If it crashes, it probably produces an error. You should grab the log and send it to the author. This is not something you can likely get help with here...

Are you saying that adding bunch of 4k textures won't affect FPS? Come on, you don't believe that, do you? :P Meshes probably affect performance, but with default ugrids, the radius within which everything is being rendered isn't that big... Can you elaborate on the LODs? I'm not sure I understand what are you saying here.

But why? The folders are simply packed into loose files archives, what difference does that make? Or has anything changed substantially about the optimization process since two months ago?

I wasn't sure where to post this, so it ends up here. The forum is apparently unable to understand thumbnail link BB code. The way I see it, this new Nexus'sfeature only makes it worse. In my opinion, vast majority of people click on things without reading, either because they are partially stupid (older people like my parents, who, when prompted to install something, keep clicking next next next until their computers are full of ****), OR because they want to get rid of whatever is being forced on them asap. And that's exactly where the new wave of endorsements comes from: (again, IMO) from people who want the damn new window disappear so they can go back to browsing. These endorsements are as unreal as can be. Authors are happy about them, but it's completely false idea of increased popularity, I'm afraid.

Let's just wait a few days for things to calm down and play something else :P With a bit of luck, the horrible download problems with Nexus will go away soon as well. No need to rush anything.

I am a bit (a lot) confused by all that's been happening lately, and would like something cleared: Does MO treat loose files and BSAs equally or not? I've always lived under the impression it made no difference (and I think Tannin even said so), but now that I read the first post and with the recent discussions, I hear the loose files still take priority. I don't get it at all :(
