DROPPED Unofficial Skyrim Patch (by Unofficial Patch Project Team)
TheCompiler replied to frihyland's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I didn't experience that CTD with 1.2.1, where exactly in dragonsreach does it crash? -
I'm using an old laptop for when i'm traveling to university-home and viceversa. So this is definitely worth it.

STEP v2.2.0 Official Bug Reports Thread
TheCompiler replied to Farlo's topic in Step Skyrim LE Guide
Really glad you was able to check this. SOme of the worst offenders were already in my "to-remove" list, i somehow sensed they were offenders :P I got tons of suggestions for STEP 2.3 and the new scenario we will have with new tools like Gecko and tes5edit is enthrilling indeed ;) EDIT: also, what is the "step" esp file? O.o -

DROPPED Shadow Striping Fix (by forum42087)
TheCompiler replied to frihyland's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Fri you're right, with ENB shadow striping isn't an issue anymore, so the fix isn't needed. (assuming ppl will use ENB). Anyway, i'm really sorry that More DYnamic SHadows is so buggy, i'm forced to remove it from the ENB pack, and maybe will replace it with Whiterun lighing fix. -
DROPPED Shadow Striping Fix (by forum42087)
TheCompiler replied to frihyland's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I'm considering readding this fix, but need your ideas. I've discovered some very annoying bugs More Dynamic Shadows is causing and i'm willing to remove it from the ENB section (it's included in Project ENB). Do you think this fix is still necessary? -
Project ENB still plays better with CoT

DROPPED Skyrim Flora Overhaul (by vurt)
TheCompiler replied to JudgmentJay's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
The current STEP recommends to don't install tree meshes at all. I've just cmpared treesHD/Vurts meshes vs vanilla, and vanilla is better. It's not an issue with only urts, but for both Vurt and treesHD. If you remove those meshes you'll have more dense and more natural trees, but no variation in bark. I've attached 2 screens, the better one (right) is without any trre mesh, the bad one (left) is with TreesHD meshes over Vurts. Lush Trees, instead, is not an option at all for me! -

Yea, in previous STEP i made the same discovery and put the procedure in the guide! I hope Cestral will investigate further and, if needed, include it TPC ;) -
SKYRIMLE Wheat height/Chicken egg/Whiterun ligh Fix
TheCompiler replied to auroreb's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I'm glad you're using Project ENB, I really like it to and it makes me hopeful that other mods in the future STEP will be compatible with it and CoT. :) I've already prepared a STEP pack for Project ENB, with CoT and other related mods- this will be the "recommended" post-processing pack for STEP, but there will be others. -
SKYRIMLE Wheat height/Chicken egg/Whiterun ligh Fix
TheCompiler replied to auroreb's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Wheat height mod doesn't work for me, as JudgementJay said, the clipping is still there. Egg fix is not necessary after the newer official patches. Whiterun lighting is incompatible with lighing mods, and expecially More Dynamic Lights which is part of Project ENB mod, and already adds dynamic lights in all whiterun. -

I would say that vanilla grass looks better, except maybe for the finally-not-so-red tundra grass.

cestral already updated TPC to the new SMIM ;)

Indeed

I'm a science lover as you might know already, this archivement makes me a happy nerd ;)

Skyrim Redesigned is on my list and I will probably begin with that in a couple of days. I'll try to wrap up the additions for v1.5 first so it'll have to wait for 1.6. Tobes Highres Textures will be one of the additions to 1.5 though unless this problem texture doesn't get fixed. I don't like leaving things incomplete, and I definitely don't like including artifacts and errors no matter how nice a texture looks. They are immersion breakers and have no place in the TPC. I already tried using other textures in its place, so while it is doable, I don't like the fact that it removes the uniqueness of the upper class furniture. The SMIM texture is looking more lower class than the common furniture so I'm also intent on not using those. So I'm really bent on getting this texture fixed. I might just have to do it myself. Oh btw, I believe I read somewhere that STEP recommends using Vurt's Compatibility Patch from the Lush Trees page instead of the patch from Trees HD (assuming you use all three). May I ask why? Idon't use Lush stuff since they spoil the lore for me, Skyrim is supposed to be a cold and barely hospitable place, not a lush heaven :P But the reason is that patch from lush trees is more recent.
