  1. Omg! THis mod's back! Huge celebration needs to be performed!
  2. If USKP won't include the fixes, you can release the fixes separately to be included into STEP Core.
  3. (Sourced from https://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1462361-relz-boss-for-skyrim/page-3?do=findComment&comment=22781811 ) Fair enough, ipse dixit :P What about the optional sound mod file?
  4. USKP addon - Unofficial Skyrim Patch addon https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/23833/ I'll just throw those here since i need different opinions (possibly after a proper testing!) NOTE: BOSS says "USKP addon" should be removed as it's included in USKP, it is FALSE. There are two mods here: -USKP addon -Misc Sounds Fixes I expecially love the second one as it adds missing sounds to many things that should have one.
  5. Hello Freyrgjurd! Your help is highly appreciated, we're brainstorming about the next release on our private administrative forum / wiki, but we'll start to use the public post (this one) soon. Now, since you're available for mod testing, i got some mods to test :D here's the list and whan we need to know: I throw some mods suggestions for inclusion in Core STEP list for voting, i use them myself and consider them some of my core mods: LvlPredatorScript bugfix - is it really a fix, does it work? https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/985247-bugfix-for-lvlpredatorscript-errors-no-more-log-spam/ UUSkyPP Dragon Bridge Horse Marker Fix - is it really a fix, does it work? https://www.darkcreations.org/forums/files/file/644-uuskypp-dragon-bridge-carriagehorsemap-marker-fix/ Multiple Lycanthropy Regift - do you feel this mod is a vanilla-friendly addition? https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/23421//?
  6. Basically, the plan is to enhance textures according to the HRDLC texture sizes (so as not to revert to console quality ). The graphic enhancements will still be very noticeable, but we will limit texture overhauls to the 1k options. Due to what we have learned about the working set RAM limitations and the fact that DX9 mirrors VRAM into RAM, nobody can afford the cost of the large outdoor texture packages 2k and above unless significant sacrifices are made (i.e., reduced actor and clutter textures and no SFO). Indoor/dungeon textures are not a problem though. Only those used in high frequency/cell outoors are a real problem. Brainstorm already started in the Admin thread (see "Core STEP mods not in SR" thread and cast your votes on the wiki). Yep, i was referring to HDDLCs quality, not console :P EDIT: btw, i'm in love with the new Wiki brainstorming method, so just ignore my previous suggestions. See you there.
  7. A possible packs list: -Core STEP: read prev post -Visual Pack: better textures (vurts, HD stuff etc), advanced graphic effects (footprints), immersion effects (Birds, distant detail etc), advanced UI visual mods (Skills interface, loading screens, spinning emblem) -Weather/ENB Pack: -Basic Gameplay Pack: improved overall gameplay (wet & cold, convenient horses etc) -Advanced Gameplay Pack: overhaul mods and mods designed to work with them (SkyRe, Dual etc) -Realism pack: hunger, thirst, sleep etc) -Other (?)
  8. Congrats for the 2.2.6 release and the plans for 2.3.0, I totally agree with the decision made! Since i'm now using a "core" STEP installation for my playthrough on the weak netbook, i can return to actively help in the development. Here some points about the v2.3 Core STEP i'd like to share: -It should put emphasis on fixes. -It should only sligthely enhance graphics, without overhauling textures, only "fixing" the most incosistent ones. It should basically try to keep the default texture size, quality and nature. -It should contain only minor gameplay changes (most Arthmoor mods are fine, for instace), avoiding mods adding scripts and mods adding new features. -It should always avoid mods potentially unsafe, for any reason and despite any great feature they deliver. -It should prevent incompatibilities by forging ad-hoc compatibility patches just for users who want to stick with the Core installation (this will also give us files to throw in the Nexus page, i can support them easily). -It should always avoid adding new esps, trying to evaluate if the feature added is worth the added Esp; fixes are always worth an Esp, though. I've already prepared something like a potential v2.3 Core STEP, and i would be glad to share it with you in the upcoming days, so we can start the brainstorm.
  9. Didn't know z is a biologist, i'm studying to become, hopefully, a biologist too, but you know what's italy's policy towards research. Here leterature, history, arts are fine, science nah, it's for nerds, don't invest there.
  10. Grass and Gound Fixes This mod is supposed to fix many little problems with flying grass in many places around Skyrim, clipping and water flashing. The author claims it doesn't conflict with USKP, i've checked with Tes5Edit and it doesn't in fact, but  i'm not sure USKP doesn't fix many or some of those.
  11. Didn't he make it so even if you do not start the mod in the menu that is essentially what it does? That is what we were suggesting too according to page one. As for DLC plans. From the Author :) -- "Yes, it is compatible with all of the official DLCs. I have not added any specific adjustments related to any of the DLCs just yet, but all of the existing features will work fine regardless of whether or not you have any or all of the DLCs installed. A future update will likely include Dawnguard factions in with the faction bonus, Location adjustments for Solstheim, etc." -- thank you per the clarifications!
  12. Maybe Kry can release only the fixes in a separate esp, just for STEP? btw, are there planned addons for the other DLCs, or they're not necessary?
  13. GrandBulwark should be part of the STEP team imho, his knowledge would be of great help to polish and make STEP a more stable and safe experience.
  14. Yeah i mean the virtual one, i know i do not need to interact with it at all, just figuring out, im the kind of scientist guy :P
  15. Is there a way to access the "temporary" data folder MO creates?
  16. It's karma pal :P
  17. I have to agree with that. STEP Mandate is based to the assumption that, even though Skyrim gameplay is messed up and umbalanced (and boring), mods were still not mature enough to be featured in the guide. Time are changing, expecially after tes5edit, the last DLC and some new revolutions (SkyUI, MCM, etc). That's why i think SR approach is now the most appropriate for STEP. Also, what i love about Neo is that he's a freaking perfectionist (more than me), and indeed he's more expert than me in modding and using modding tools. The sheer complexity (mandatory to have a bugfree experience) od SR is simply umbelievable, and the fact he keep this updated on a daily basis is even harder to believe. I'm totally committed in helping his work from now on.
  18. I totally agree, in fact i consider Neo's work the pinnacle of STEP That's why i would like to officially promote Skyrim Revisited as the new, evolved STEP (for the more committed and seasoned modders), and let the rest of the community work in "simplyfing" it for the less knowledgeable users. basically, SR already includes the actual STEP mods, but expands it over the STEP mandate (in a rather good and awesome way, i think), there is no reason to work on 2 different STEP or STEP-like guides, if we have Neo and his amazing committment/knowledge, and this wide community/admins to support the process. The fact that this came from the STEP community makes me extremely proud!
  19. Guide bug report: In "Clean the Beth" ESMs section, when it says: "Navigate to /overwrite/TES5Edit Backups and move all of the backup files to /Data. Select all the ESM files in the /Data folder except Skyrim.esm and move them to the /overwrite directory. Rename the .backup* files to their original name such as Update.esm, Dawnguard.esm and so on." This part Select all the ESM files in the /Data folder except Skyrim.esm and move them to the /overwrite directory. Is not necessary, since the cleaned esms were already in modorganizer/owerwrites folder Also, check USKP v1.32 beta which is going to be realeased soon, so you can adjust tesedit compatibility tweaks before it's final release. I'm proceeding installing the whole guide, im very enthusiast of it, awesome work Neo!
  20. I always wanted to use BQO and add it to STEP, but never had the chance. Now it's the time ;)
  21. I urge someone to find out what happened, that mod has a big impact on landscape quality, i can't tolerate to remove it from STEP.
