  1. I think both will be included in the next step release. But be warned, STEP doesn't focus on character eye-candy, it just features baseline improvements, nothing more sophisticated, there are tons of body mods out there and i'm simply scared of looking at them ;P
  2. Immensly glad to see you here!! Yeah i see the faults, and i hope they'll be fixed soon, but i'm wondering if is it possible to use other textures from Tobes pack over the ones of the TPC mods, is it worth it? If not, then as you said we can only hope for a fix to use something from Tobes. Also, i have another mod to suggest for inclusion: Skyrim Redesigned. this one is Very modular so since you are very good at spotting worth textures, you can include it in TPC selecting only the good stuff from it ;) For example, i've picked up only those from Skyrim Redesigned (the only files overwriting TPC mods are chopping block and salmon): Barenziah jewelry box Bloody rags v1 Brown (less saturated) money bags Buckets - meshes better with environment) Chopping block v2 Hasgraven claws Salmon v2 Skeleton key v1 Spider eggs Tankards and wooden plates Final Version
  3. Omg, wanna try the update, but unfortunately i cannot manage to FIND A FREAKING SHOP SELLING THERMAL PASTE on my freaking little island!!! Guess i need to go to Neaples to buy it, and i don't have the time to do so. Damn Capri!
  4. WOW this is very promising, i encourage you guys to figure out if this can become a backbone for the next STEP update, maybe introducing serious texture mod as well.
  5. I think latest version of Wrye Bash is 297.1 not 297.2, if not please link me the update ;)
  6. I've used it for Oblivion, and i'll use it for Skyrim. Hope to see TES5Edit as well soon.
  7. this mod along with lot other realism-oriented will be added in the next update. I'm just testing a long game with them (and i'm very much enjoying it :P).
  8. Great suggestion ;), arths mods are must-have indeed!
  9. The author released a less yellowish version, with imho looks better and matches better the SFO textures. Definitely better than standard SFO lods.
  10. I got huge VRAM problems, i tried removing SSAO and AA, but still stuttering happened, even if my FPS were nearly steady on 60. I already try using all 1024 versions of texture, but still some mods do not offer that options. then i've used the optimizer to reduce all the textures in my folder to 1024: my game now is not only steady 60 fps, but with 0 stuttering, and still looks GORGEOUS.
  11. Yeah, watching them agaim makes me realise that they differ too much with the non-lod textures. But even using the default SFO lods the problem persists, so it seems to be a Skyrim Flora Overhaul issue. Clearly, ITM needs to tweak the colors expecially the yellow to make it more suitable for SFO, but the details gained are still awesome.
  12. I'm thinking to add this alon with pets of skyrim and improved fish
  13. Just use the Optimize Textures program to resize ALL the textures to 1024. The quality loss is minimal, the performance gain in term of Vram and stuttering is HUGE. That's it folks.
  14. Yes, i agree. This one is really hardcore and well done. I'm redoing the hardcore section to be more hardcore and complete, and this mod is already included.
  15. I'm very pleased too se cooperation between mod authors and testers in the step community! ;) This will improve the whole modding experience for anyone.
  16. Yes i know, i don't notice it very much since i use the low res for every texture, because i don't think texture should necessary be HD to have a good graphics. Graphics is influenced more by the bump-effect of the textures and their overall features. HD textures are more convenient of small object like armor, weapons, NPCs, clutter etc. Anyway, you can use another snow replacer on top of RCRN in order to have HD snow.
  17. You can try using the old addon for the new RCRN, but i didn't test it, i've updated the iCCC addon for RCRN v3.0 but this time the fps hit is the same as RCRN, you can use the new RCRN configurator to remove some features and reduce the fps hit near to 0 again ;)
  18. Done, nothing in the install order should change, I only need to add few notes to specify it actually overwrites more stuff from more mods, but fortunally nothing should be moved ;) Note: after RCRN, install again: Alternate sun glare, High Quality 3D Map, A Quality World Map and overwrite.
  19. The arrow thing is very strange, doesn't happen to me (but i'm playing with an updated version of STEP, which will be the next update). Arrow pickup fix cannot be the problem, since it's just a mesh.
  20. When i set two cores with the launcher, my game FPS is halved, but when i select all core back my FPS returns to normal. I got a i7 core (4 core, 4 virtual cores)
  21. This should be loaded before WATER.esp in order to avoid messing the water from that mod in some areas. It seems to work just fine even loaded before it. I've already posted on BOSS thread to address that.
  22. Discussion thread: Skyrim Distant Detail by Kazoomie - Dovahsbane Wiki Link Looks interesting, i'm going to test that in my game. Dropped in 2.2.9.1. Replaced by DynDoLOD
  23. Both of you are right, i will add a note suggesting you can just pick one of the 2 mods instead of both, explain the differencies. Having both installed means you get all the possible enhancement to the skyrim textures, but it's a slight difference from just 1 of them.
