And about Skyrim Distant Detail? The mod is part of STEP Core and has a ton of ITMs. Should the user clean/not clean it with TES5Edit? Whatever the answer, there's no note on the STEP guide.

AOS_WAF patch is integrated into the 2.2.8 STEP Patch IIRC.

I also did that for my main profile when I made the switch from SoS to AoS. AoS distant howls are definitely mo' better so if RWH is a keeper for 2.2.9, maybe a note about it should be put. About the Practice Dummies mod from MM, it should be noted that STEP does NOT cover King Olaf's Elegy at all, and you can really see how bloody horrendous it looks if you open the image in a new window.

Sorry if this has already been brought up but just a quick glance at the changelog I see no mention of it so... I'm setting up a side character, finally trying out SkyRe. Making sure I hadn't missed anything from the guide when I created my character back in December. A few points: 1) HD Misc: Only one texture (practicedummy01.dds) used from this mod, all others get overwritten by Tobes Highres Textures. Personally, I have always used Practice Dummies and King's Olaf Elegy HD by MM. 2) Skyrim Distant Detail HF has 359 dirty edits, of which there is no mention. Is this really a mod for STEP? 4) Even though it has been removed for 2.2.9, perhaps a note should be added to More Salt Please with the legend "STEP Patches users do NOT install this mod. It is already included in the STEP Patches." since 2.2.9 is not yet released?

Hold your horses buddy. As stated in the REGS guide: Don't extract your BSA's until you are better informed. Check out the BSA extraction thread, click on the View New Content tab located in the top right hand corner, it's likely in the first page. In the steps you described what you'd be doing is downloading the BSA when you click don't extract and then delete it, now how is that right?

What the heck! When I followed the optimization guide I ended up with four folders: Vanilla Optimized Textures (which includes the DLCs), HRDLC1, HRDLC2 and HRDLC3. Did I mess it up somewhere? My MO looks like this:

Nice find. Hopefully it's not incompatible with either RRRE or DoW, I'll report back. I always thought that, being Whiterun what it is, it's inn was perhaps even worse than any village inn. Probably something (don't ask me what!) to do with Whiterun being the first city most players visit and Breezehome being worth 5k and Proudspire Manor 20k.

Gonna be the hero this time. I took the shots with only Vanilla-HDLC optimized textures, the unofficial patches and SRO installed. Vanilla lightning. SRO only contributes to whwindowmaps.dds and it's normal so I didn't bother to hide the files. I'm using Visible Window's medium resolution with all of STEP's recommendations, though I prefer the green windows for Riften. Looking at it I might have kept the Default version for the Blue Palace.. :: Order is Vanilla > Visible Windows > Rustic Windows. Farmhouses (I have no idea why the whole color of the farmhouse changed with RW): High Hrothgar: Solitude: Windhelm: I'd post the ones from Riften, Whiterun and Winterhold but I've exceeded all awesomeness and I'm not aloud to do so.

You guys just need to go check out the BSA extraction thread.

Welcome to the forums! Those two will very likely conflict with Better City Entrances and Better City Docks, respectively. Have you installed those?
