There. I've rearranged the album for your viewing delight. Yes, the song remains the same. Well, after further viewing I have to agree that at least in this scenario, they don't fit anywhere near as nicely as either SRO, Rustic or Cabal's. But what attracted me most from his screens were the interiors. I'll probably post 'em up tomorrow.. or the day after.. actually, patience gentlemen, I am also testing krypto's mod atm. Please, if anybody here has even the sightless itching to take some shots yourself... I will not object.

Here goes. I've just created an album with 50 comparison shots between Cabal's and SRO, which let's face it, it's just a step beyond HRDLC. I used vanilla lightning and no ENB preset. I'm posting a few preview shots in the hope that more of you will check out the album and share your opinions. Oh and if you thought that Vivid Landscapes Imperial Forts didn't affect interiors well, let's just say you were a bit off in your assumptions. SRO > SRO+VL > AMB > AMB +VL In view of such horrific results I don't see how VL can be accepted for STEP and so I decided to put off my exteriors comparison until I'm proven otherwise.

How so? Isn't it a simple matter of opening each set of five images in a separate tab? Much better for looking at the details, too.

Well, the album's got 13 views so far but not a single comment has been made on these. I think it may be that some of us are too lazy even to click on a link. I personally like the wood very much but I'm not a fan of the thatch up-close, though if viewed from a distant, I think it creates a nice effect.. The stonewall is the biggest departure from Vanilla but perhaps we can keep SRO's stonewall? Still need to take some shots of the interiors..

I was just looking for mod's marked for testing literally seconds before you posted and was thinking of doing one between these and Vivid's. I know VL will win everytime for me though. :) Just wait a bit.

These even fit in nicely with STEP's current Frost Atronach, further enforcing the magical nature of it! Btw, why you no accept PMs, Sparrow?

I have no PMOP after hiding the files. I thought PMOP was for mods scripts getting overridden? Neither SMIM nor GQ use scripts so..

That's what I was getting at, mods end up in weird places because of MO's mod order warning. It is simpler to just hide the jewelry meshes that would overwrite SMIM and Gemling.

STEP > This mod. Personally I'm not a fan of what this mod does to the icicles in these situations. I like either this mod's atronach or combined with current STEP, as shown in my initial comparison and on SRB's post. Hmm...now that I think of it, I may actually prefer the atronach with this mod alone, I feel it makes it look much more icy and.. sigh.. "realistic".

This is one of those mods that I always end up putting near the bottom of my priority order along with When Vampires Attack, Paarthurnax Dilemma, Provincial Courier, Run for Your Lives, Dance of Death, EBT, etc because, especially with LOOT, whenever there is a change in the load order MO will prompt the potential mod order warning because of scripts getting overridden. I personally find it easier to just hide the files that overwrite Gemling Queen or Jewels of the Nords, when it was part of STEP.

At any rate, that's not a problem for MO users (which STEP promotes) since it's just flagged as a dummy esp and can be safely unticked. EDIT: I only found one object ID so..

Well done, mate. Have you experienced any script lag from it? Do you use ETaC or any city mods like the Dawn of.. serie?

Wow, I'd have never thought about that. Yes, I have Windows 7 x64 with a custom theme and I use MO's better looking stylesheet. Here's what it looks like: Mods where I am having this problem? ANY mod that uses fomods: SMIM, Realistic Boat Bobbling, WATER, UNPB, etc. I'll change back to boring Windows and boring MO and report back. EDIT: I'll be dammed, changing back to Windows 7 Basic DID fix it. Could you please enlighten me as to why it messes up with MO having a Windows theme other than Basic? Thanks Tannin, you da man!

For me, this mod's biggest asset isn't that it stops followers from using a torch while sneaking, it's that you can command them not to attack enemies unless they've already caught you and are in attack mode. Very useful indeed and a must for me. I think if it should be accepted, it should probably be as part of Extended, though..

Don't you? I thought users had a right to vote. I also think this belongs in Core.

But as dummy esps mean zip to MO just ticking the BSA in the Archives tab should make MO load it, no?
