  1. Insanity's Farmhouse Texture Replacer Textures are brand new high resolution textures (2048x2048), look different to the originals while keeping Skyrim's style/feel. Some comparison shots taken at Falkreath. Order is amiddianborn > Insanity's > Rustic Farmhouses > STEP > Vanilla
  2. Here are some tutorials, if you'd like to learn a little. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipIbxxAhrkc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=raM9TBZZyQY
  3. Pretty sure ETaC has a patch for LoS.
  4. Right. And REGS -CRF. And a bunch of others too... Silly me.
  5. Thanks! I've only used his moon textures and his pack for Automatic Variants. I'm downloading and I'll make a thread with some compares. I hope this site doesn't hook me like STEP has... please no.
  6. ? LOOT places CRF directly after the last esm on both of my profiles..
  7. Will do. Haven't been to Falkreath since installing ETaC. Hmm.. don't remember if I chose custom textures.. Anyway, I voted for Cabal's months ago and while I like these, I'm not sure I like them better than his. The only things I've overwritten are the pelts (MysteryModders) and the thatch (Langley's atm, though I'll have to make a quick switch and see how RF's blend in). Link?
  8. I agree and I actually like rusty and worn, depending on the subject (like wood), very much. I also like that you choose your wording wisely my friend, saying "tends to stay away" - because I can think of a few mods in STEP that make Skyrim "new and shiny".
  9. Hit the Manual button. It'll probably have a couple of folders, open the one you need and drag the esp to the top where it says Data. You should see a green message that says "Looks Good". Click Install.
  10. I agree that Cabal's definitely look newer but, as a somewhat comparable argument, I don't see why Skyrim "must" look worn. Like with clothes and armor: every blacksmith, merchant, priest, etc wears horribly worn and dirty outfit. Why should it be so?
  11. Sorry, deleted the saves last night. Unlike Rustic Windows, neither ambFarm nor current STEP cover the textures/architecture/farmhouse folder in its entirety. It would only be overwritten, dependeing on it's placement, by High Definition Ivy and Realistic Mushrooms. I'm not saying I prefer RF btw, just making a note of it. Also, you can clearly see the differences in the normals in the screen of the abandoned house in Morthal.
  12. My vote goes to GQ's Solid version.
  13. Ladies and gentlemen! For tonight's main attraction! I give you......!
  14. I'm not saying it doesn't involve a bit of risk but, rest assured, when I first installed ETaC my playthrough had exceeded more than 100 hrs and 150+ hrs later I haven't noticed any problems whatsoever.. Other than some farmhouses not getting SMIMified and a couple of naked folks on Darkwater Crossing fighting two gargoyyles with their bare hands... I've already done this for myself but perhaps CJ could convince mjb to set their confidence to 0 to avoid such unimmersive content. Which textures would you be using, out of curiosity?
  15. I sincerely hope you nagged her to make a proper texture and normal map!
  16. @laighean: Are you using ModOrganizer? You don't ever need to delete your Steam install if you are. If you aren't and you haven't actually followed the STEP guide or plan to, I can suggest you a couple of things: 1. Install ModOrganizer. 2. Follow the tutorials that come with it and read the guide. 3. Install the SKSE scipts through MO. 4. Re-install all the mods you currently use which use an esp, forget about textures and meshes for now. 5. Use BOSS/LOOT to sort out your load order. 6. Check the button on the top right corner for potential conflitcs.
  17. A very tiny difference can be appreciated on the diamond and emerald claws but one simply does not consciously look for these in-game. Perhaps it makes a difference when near a light source? But then again... aside from the Golden Claw, I can't remember looking at the claws in anyplace other than my inventory. Ninja!
  18. Maybe at least have it like FAtT II with no link for it? I am among the STEP users with the worst system specs and I have 0 performance loss using it. One can also markfordelete a few chickens/goats and one cow if having FPS loss.. especially if you're using AV, which it seems, I'm the only one at STEP that does.
  19. I did say "kind of mods". Didn't wish to make it seem like I knew anything about it. :: But yeah, I wish we could persuade CJ to patch this for use with REGS but I'm under the impression that he isn't particularly keen on messing with lightning mods?
  20. Ah, there they are. I was trying to find the circular windows in Riften when doing the screens... No dice.
  21. Well, it might be that I was using VW's mid resolution but tbh, I don't see a huge improvement over Vanilla's Riften windows..
  22. Excellent find! I've always thought potion bottles look humongous in Skyrim. There'd be times when you'd carrying, I dunno.. 150 bottles? More? This also complements Bandoliers nicely.
