  1. With this type of mods, you've got nothing to fear, red. It's a simple matter of drag and dropping conflicts. It is a tedius, thankless task, however. You only need to follow a few steps. Take this example from Xvision Children - Complete.esp (which also is a cosmetic mod) and PrinceandPauper.esp: 1) Load them both in TES5Edit 2) Alternate click on any of the esps, click "Apply Filter" and set it like this: 3) Let it do its thing and when it's done, open the last of the esps, in this case, PrinceandPauper.esp 4) Open Non-Player Character (Actor) 5) Alternate click on the right pane and click "Hide no conflict rows". 6) You'll see that the aesthetic changes from Xvision Children are just being reverted back to vanilla by PaP. Alternate click on Xvision Children - Complete.esp (because this is the esp that provides new records for the NPC, PaP is replacing Packages which the NPC already has) at the top of the right panel and select "Copy and override into". Should look like this: 7) Select <new file> and name it as you see fit. E.g. Xvision - PaP Patch.esp. Click "Yes" when prompted to add masters to your new patch. 8) Drag and drop the packages from PaP and click "Yes" when asked to make it a master for you patch. 9) Repeat as necessary.

I've already done the females but I'll check out the one for males, I don't like Xenius' warpaints tbh, even if they're HD, I think the warpaints look positively worse than vanilla so an alternative is very much welcomed. You know, I probably chose a very bad thread title. I find it very weird that nobody here knows about warpaints!

  4. Although carpets do seem plausible, Whiterun type carpets seem entirely out of place in HH. Those carpets seem like taken out of Jorrvaskr, maybe a dark blue recoloring would suit it better?
  5. Well, I've figured out that indeed any femaleheadwarpaint may be renamed to any race specific warpaint and it will work just fine. But after selecting warpaints for each race, replacing all of the vanilla warpaints for females, I did a player.placeatme for both Aela and Mjoll and found they were still using their default warpaints, I don't know if it's because it wasn't on an entirely new game, even though I haven't met either of them on this character, which I've just been using it to test stuff. I was hoping I'd be able to get rid of Mjolls horrible default warpaint.. :confused: I still have that doubt about whether warpaints from plugins are only available for the player or whether they'll also be used by NPCs? How does the game handle warpaints in general, I don't actually recall meeting that many NPCs wearing them.. Kulde? rootsrat?
  6. Ah, the dynamically created plugin stuff. Don't worry about it, you can deactivate it when rebuilding your Bashed Patch or simply load the combined esp after it, it only has one Leveled list record anyway.
  7. Does HH really have that much cell edits? Surely you can patch it... or maybe just remove ELFX's records for HH cells. First back the original esp, obviously.
  8. It's gotta be said, Kodlak looks like a badass mofo. But yeah, this makes NPCs entirely too pretty for my liking. And like Kulde said, patching this for BOYD, Consistent Older People and the like is another reason for me not to grab this.
  9. Yeah, that's the one we used in our comparisons. Just posted some comparison screenies between that one and v5.0 of the original here. I didn't use parallax cause only Vivid Landscapes has parallax maps, I think, and it didn't seem fair to the other mods. Besides, Sparrow was making such a big deal out of it, I thought I'd play along. You gotta teach me how to do that! How can this be achieved at all? It would require a lot of cell editing, no? Plus patches for tons of mods.

  11. Yeah, but I wish there was a way I could see which esps were actually running on any given savefile instead of just knowing which esps are missing. I know WB would show this but for some reason the Saves tab in WB shows nothing if run through MO (I haven't tried running it on its own), only the Mods tab is working for me.

  13. I distinctly remember thinking these looked rather off to me when I tested them out months ago. Don't exactly remember what it was but I think it was one of those cases where they looked perhaps too realistic for a fantasy game and didn't really fit in. But, I believe in second chances.

  15. Yeah, for real. Doesn't really make sense to me to have one window mod for Core and one for Extended but anyway.. My thoughts exactly. Makes up for the game's limitation of not being able to show what's on the other side. Well.. there is that Immersive Interiors mod.. but still. As for the Solitude windows I think RW actually succeeds in making the Blue Palace look more like a palace than VW's undetailed textures. I don't think they are in your face like Tech says, I think that, specially with the toned down glow maps, they fit Solitude pretty darn well. And Windhelm? Well, that's a no-brainer. I vote yes.
  16. So I was browsing the Nexus and came across some very cool looking warpaints like the ones in Battle Hardened Warpaints and Raven Warpaints. However I see that there are quite a few reports from people not being able to get these type of mods working, if this is because their own stupidity or not, I don't know. :: But, if someone could clarify, warpaints from RaceMenu plugins are only available for the player and no NPC will wear them, correct? If this is the case then I much rather make a custom selection so that any NPC may wear them, I don't think there's actually a huge number of NPCs wearing warpaints so... Anyway, I've made a custom selection for Raven Warpaints 1-7 and I noticed that femaleheadwarpaint_07.dds was missing in all of the packs, is this file not used by the game or something? Somewhere else I read that _10.dds was the one which is basically not used by the game at all, is this true? And also, why are all warpaint replacers using either maleheadwarpaint_1-10.dds or fenakeheadwarpaint_1-10.dds? What about all of the specific race warpaint files on the tintmasks folder, are these interchangeable (excluding beast races? I.E., can I use any femaleheadwarpaint file and rename it to femaleheadredguardwarpaint or whatever? Or will they just not fit the specific race head? Also, if anyone else has other warpaint mod recommendations, please share!

  19. WOOT! I didn't know this mod had been updated! Sorry bro, my MO wasn't recognizing I'd downloaded this mod so I wasn't getting update warnings. I've been using v2.7.1 for AGES! Thanks! OK.. just took a quick look at the esps.. HarvesOverhaul.esp needs a Relev tag and HarvestOverhaulCreatures.esp needs Delev, Relev tags. As for the SkyRe patch, it doesn't need any Bash tags and you can easily merge it (and I'd suggest you do so) onto any combined patch you might have. Because both SkyRe and HarvesOverhaul are listed as masters, TES5Edit will make them masters of your combined patch as well and this means LOOT will sort them accordingly. If you're using BOSS just make sure the SkyRe patch (or your merged patch) sort after both SkyRe_Main and HarvestOverhaul. Hope it helps.

  21. 1) Do separate patches for different mods. So for example, make a BOYD - Endgame NPC Overhaul patch, a BOYD - Consistent Older People patch, etc. Don't try making a global patch in one go. You can merge them once you're done. 2) Keep record of what you do using Notepad ++ or any other program of your preference.

Tbh, I don't get many things on Garfink's LO when comparing it to how LOOT places my mods and then checking it in TES5Edit. That qotsafans patch is a good example, if placed last, some Atronachs and other NPCs won't benefit from ASIS/NPC Enchant Fix perks. The reason I'm reluctant to install Immersive Armors is because my PC isn't exactly top of the line and pouring another 2GB of additional stress to it won't help my cause. I already installed Content Addon, which adds another 800+MB worth of textures on top of the regular BoS. I've cut both Automatic Variants and Frostfall (as well as others like EBT), two of my favorite mods ever, on this profile to get better performance and IA would just get me right were I started. The main module, yes. If you also want the creatures addon you only need to add Dellev, Relev tags in WB, I think (though I've been wrong before so don't quote me on this one). I've always used that mod and also do so on my MMO/SPERG character, if that's of any reassurance.
