  1. I have stoped using ENBseries and Presets all and all. Why? Performance? No, i am running an RTX20280 so it is not out of performance reason. It is the very fact that what ever ENB i install (i have tested soooo many!) it always makes some part of my game look wrong. Sometimes it is the interiors and sometimes it is during a specific weather or during a specifik time of day. (I am way to lazy to tweak my own ENB) So as said above... to much of an individual choise. STEP should be the "neutral vanilla" baseline i think. (Also some people prefer Reshade to ENB). But who knows. Maby we will se ENB Presets for STEP Guide when the guide takes of. Then i might try it out.
  2. Nice. I thought so, so i did not merge. :) You are doing an epic job!
  3. Should the LOD-pack be merged with Majestic Mountains mod in MO2?
  4. New version 3.0 published today.
  5. Good point SaintBourbon. My playstyle do not really make this an essential mod. Maby a word about this in the guide?
  6. I have now tried all three color versions and this is my humble opinion. Light is the most vanilla and is a bit to bright on my rig (as said in the STEP guide). But it is very much more like the scandinavian Granite where i live and that is nice. The brightness makes such things as dwemer buildings hard to see from a distance in sunny weather. Same goes with some snow effects. Main file is to red and to far from what i think is Granite... although it is probably just my mind that just wants Skyrim mountains to be like the Granitie my eyes are used to. Dark is the number one choise for me. It makes snow effects on the mountains stand out a bit and also makes constructions be more visible from far distances. Only problem with that... it is a bit wierd that the stone used for constructions seem to come from another part of Tamriel. But i can live with that for the better looks.
  7. Hi Paes. I do think SE is the way to go these days. More stable than LE for starters. I think the mod authors is more active with updates and new inovative mods for SE also. Some say ENB is still better with LE but as far as i see it almost all ENB functions for LE are now in for SE. Boris seem ta be very active develop ENB Series for SE. Also the problem with SKSE that where for SE is now longer so. Here is the link to the latest beta of the STEP Gudside for SE. https://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:0.2.0b I follow it, and it is great. The officcial release of version 3.0 soon to be released. As i understand it, we will se more active work with the SE guide in the future, while the 3.0 LE guide will be finite (with only updastes when included mods update). Also i think it will be more easy to make personal extensions to the SE version of STEP... there are already people out there working on it. Happy gaming!
  8. Skyrim SSE Water For ENB: http://enbseries.enbdev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=6480 Author: mindflux I used this before and realy love it. Could be an alternative to RW2.
  9. Living in the north myself i first thought the "saturated" version would be the thing. But after seeing how the main version looks when the light changes i think it is actually better. :)
  10. From how far away will the bobbing be vissible? I often check my game (lods, weather, light) from Katlas Farm. :)
  11. Good morning. I use quick search argument functions in xEdit as stated here on STEP (this link to STEP xEdit Guide). I use this right after installing a mod that i think might conflict with another mod. Also i can check what mod is "the winner" and therefor will load last. If xEdit do not show any "critical conflict" my experience is that the loadorder will "work". But still maby not as you like it so you still want to check all "conflict". Sometimes it is enough to change the load order... but not always... since changing load order mmight cause new problems or unwanted ingame results. Those cases have to be solved with a patch made in xEdit or might be fixed with the "Bashed" or "Smashed Patch". Problem with "Bashed/Smashed Patches" is in my humble opinion that they often make unwanted changes since they basically guess what to forward and it might not be what you want (this is the case very often when having multiple mods changing the same records). You have mod A, B, C and D that alters same thing and Wrye Bash or Mator Smash maby makes record from mod C to the winner but in this case maby you want D to be the winner for this specific record. I have set up xEdit so i normaly start it with the -quickshowconflicts argument: -quickshowconflicts After confirming plugins to be loaded, this parameter automatically loads all valid mod groups and applies "Apply Filter to show conflicts". -veryquickshowconflicts Same as -quickshowconflicts above, but automatically loads the plugins as specified in plugins.txt, without showing the plugin selection dialog. Holding down [CTRL] when starting will allow the plugin selection dialog to be displayed.

  13. Methos, you write you have used xEdit to clean mods before in LE. So just to be sure... have you ever used xEdit to search for conflicts? When adding a non STEP guide mod i install only one mod at time and use xEdit to search for conflict. If all is well i install another mod and check with xEdit again. And so on...
  14. No footprints in the snow in the guide atm. Try it and see if it works. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/3808
  15. yw, And i can confirm the same issue no mather if you use main, dark or light version. (i have to check if there is still a problem with a cell near Marklarth i had before)
  16. I have used it in many different loadorders and i think it works great.
  17. SOLVED... (in a way). Replaced "mountaincliff04.nif" in MM v2.82 with the same file from MM v2.3 (Found the answer in the mods bugreport)
  18. DynDOLOD_output is not overwritten. Opened the file in NifSkope and it looks like below...
  19. I am new to this kind of errors so please explain "empty"? :) That file is 1025 kB size in the data meshes... folder.
  20. No error messages. I will try to rerun DynDOLOD.
  21. Hmm, i have sorted with latest Loot. Will check the load order whan i get home.
  22. Will try that. I run a RTX 2080Ti so my rig should be ok.
  23. Hi. I belive i miss some Windhelm LOD. Only the bridge and west wall is vissible (se image). I folllow the the STEP SSE Guide 0.2.0b. What could i have done wrong?
  24. Hi. Done a brand new install of 0.2.0b and while running around checking everything found som textures missing near Ivarstead and Markarth. Should have something to do with Majestic Mountains i think?
