frihyland Posted October 21, 2012 Author Posted October 21, 2012 Latest from Boris: Performance of optimized ssao effect is almost three times faster on my pc, i gonna try the same for other effectsHallelujah, I may finally be able to run SSAO :D
ivactheseeker Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 He improved the performance and quality of SSAO ( although i think he hasn't finish ) and started workings on reflections. here are some screenshots: https://postimage.org/image/r7b0tk9kx/ https://postimage.org/image/8mdc3kaoj/ https://postimage.org/image/txaw7tssz/ https://postimage.org/image/6vppoc3rn/ https://postimage.org/image/ys4l63r4j/ not badÂ
Neovalen Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Reflections in the latest version are great... loving it with Seasons of Skyrim 2.0preview. 55+ with everything turned on now. Not really playing much, but I had to check it out.
stoppingby4now Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Those reflections look awesome. I remember seeing a screenshot at one point where carpet was even casting reflections. Do you know if this is being worked on, or if it's even possible for him to limit what reflects?
ivactheseeker Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Reflections are related to specular maps. You can only tweak the intensity of the reflection for now. Still, they'll probably find a way to balance everything out. As Boris itself said 'This effect only for testing, quality is bad and performance too' . :) here is another screenshot: without reflection https://imageshack.us/a/img189/7213/ref2a.jpg with reflection https://imageshack.us/a/img853/2972/ref1h.jpg
stoppingby4now Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 It's still a giant leap forward IMO. Those two screenshots really point out the problem of the current game engine to accurately portray ambient light.
z929669 Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 I am using 0.122 now with SkyRealism, and it works great ...
JudgmentJay Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 I really can't get over how great those screenshots look. When this gets perfected/optimized I'll definitely move over to the ENB camp.
rpsgc Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 Has anyone noticed a decrease in performance with 0.123? I'm using TC's RCReN (SkyRealism) and I merely replaced the .dll I tested it outdoors and I got a 5 fps loss. Wasn't it supposed to increase performance?

z929669 Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 I actually get a +4-5 FPS increase with ENB 0.122-3 versus 0.119
rpsgc Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 This is driving me bonkers. I exit Lakeview Manor, turn right towards the slope leading to the lake. I stop and look at the trees near the lake. No ENB -> 42 fps ENB 0.119 -> 35 fps ENB 0.123 -> 26 fps I think I'll stick with 0.119

Also, I am running in CrossfireX, so things may be different.
