Thankyou MonoAccipiter and darkside for the warm welcome!

It's been a while since I completed the guide, so I forgot that FNVEdit is the NV-specific version of the xEdit program. It kinda threw me at first, but I get confused easily.

It would be preferable to have the first instance in any guide where xEdit is mentioned to describe this and then ALL further instances of its use to be xEdit.

STEP is trying to gwet users to understand this concept that the executables are interchangeable, and hence most of the documentation on the web can be applied to any version.

I've been going through a lot of guides over the months and making this change, possibly it gets changed back for this reason.

Well, I forgot about changing it, so no need to worry.  :innocent:

Hey Mono, GamerPoets put out his video for FNV setup if you want to add it somewhere in the guide. I haven't been around much since I was busy getting married, so I'm still gonna be away for another 10 days at least. I don't feel like messing with the guide since the wifi at my hotel is pretty sketchy.

Congratulations!

I have indeed seen the video, as he asked me for some help in revising the script.

Does the wiki have the same function for displaying YouTube videos as the forums? Or do I need to do something fancy to make it embedded?

Just copy paste the template from somewhere else in the guide.

I am very busy here in real life. Probably will not have much time to play this week. I finished OWB DLC this past weekend. I just updated Distributed Necklaces and Chains Neck Seam Concealer mod to exclude Honest Hearts DLC outfits to reduce clipping. HH is now required for version 2.7 which is not a problem for F&L NV. I left version 2.6 for anyone without DLC. No new exclusion list needed for OWB. I will update to include all DLC eventually.

Hello again. I don t know if this is the right place but here it goes:

I have a hard time understanding how bashed patch works. So basicly I installed all the mods fallowing the s.t.e.p. unticked the merged  mods mentioned in the guide generated bashed tags for every mod, one by one ( acording to loot of course, not every single mod :) And then I did the bashed patch. The 1st thing i observed was that some mods were unticked, and some mods that were unticked previously were ticked after generating the bashed patch.

The other problem is in the gomorah casinos, some people have pink hands, but tha s anothe story I guess.

Ty and escuse my english. :)

Edit: so do I need to untick the  mods that were merged in the right panel or the left panel?

Edit 2 : so I ve fixed it by unticking the mods in the left panel. Everything works smooth. Question: I just managed to explore the Gomorah casino, and every npc wearing a hat looks bald. I know it 's a "normal" thing or did I missed something?

Before you make you Bashed Patch you can activate every single plugin. Then the Bashed Patch will deactivate some, and afterwards you will need to tick the two plugins that are tagged with nomerge, they should have a dot in their check-box in Wrye Flash (before you've ticked them). The NPCs looking bald thing is probably because their hats are ticked as occupying the "hair" slot (just like gloves occupy the "gloves" slot) so that hair won't be clipping through the hats if people have large hairstyles.

It doesn't require Honest Hearts in 2.8 on, as I moved the list additions into the script
