Requiem Pack (WIP)

Yes there are other patches out there. Just search Requiem on Nexus and take your pick of all the ones you might need. The reproccer does take care of followers and NPCs in general as well as weapon and armor stats I believe  - but cannot confirm how well it does it.

I guess you have all read about 1.8.2 being released around Christmas? Hope the patches will still work, wanted to start a whole new build with a " mod mix" from STEP / Extended / SR:LE.

However, not even 1.8.1 has all the patches I would need, so I might have to go back to 1.7.3 eventually... or did anyone try out the 1.7.3 patches with the 1.8.1 version?

This is my point, too..

I wanted to do a Requiem install a year ago, but waited for SR:LE to be finished first. So, after waiting another whole year and buying a new GPU, I finally wanted to give it a go.

And hell yeah, theres info and a guide for putting together SR:LE, REGs and Requiem 1.73. Which seems to work fine. This is, in my opinion, the ultimate gameplay overhaul for skyrim! Thanks alot for the help, Smile44.

But, theres also 1.8 out and 1.8.2 coming around Christmas, so I'm not exactly sure what to do. I read all around the internet and it seems like most of the patches are there, excluding some like Hard Times, SIC, OBIS or Immersive Patrols (not sure if they do work). They, however, add a lot to my game. I love them. So it would be hard for me to leave them out.

That's why I'm asking myself if 1.8 is even worth it. I'll start with my SR:LE install now and decide afterwards, probably going for 1.73, since it's pretty much done and working. (I'm planning to do an ultimate, multiple hundred hours run of Skyrim)

Well, some time has passed since my last post, and I have good news: I have successfully installed STEP Core, some mods from STEP Extended and complete SR:LE. Game was completely stable, so I went on and installed Requiem 1.8.1. No problems either, stress-tested everything several times.

Then the patches: Got all the patches there are for 1.8.1 on the Nexus and filled the rest with Aziroks 1.7.3 patches, namely

- Resources (obviously, needed for SIC DLC 2)

- Book Covers Skyrim Patch

- Cutting Room Floor Patch

- Radiant Potions + Poisons Patch

- RS Children Patch

- SCRR Patch

- SIC Patch + SIC DLC 2 Patch

- Consistent Older People Patch

- Trade and Barter Patch

Furthermore I installed the "Bring out your dead" and "Frostfall" patches recommended by Smile on the Requiem STEP page.

Then I checked for conflicts, oddities and errors in TES5Edit. Well, fortunately most of the patches are fine! :-)

There were some little errors I had to correct in "Cutting Room Floor" Patch, the BOYD patch and the SIC patches needed more work, though it was not as bad as expected.

BOYD patch was the worst... a lot of armor/perk adjustments etc.  The rest of the patches should be fine though, at least from my noob-look at it in TES5Edit ;-)

I am no expert at all and happy that I was able to produce a stable game - so thanks to all you STEP guys for writing intense tutorials on conflict resolution etc. (especially Neo!).

And the whole work was worth it: I have a stable game with Requiem 1.8.1 plus all the patches I need, playing for about 5 days now and did not encounter any issues.

The only patch still missing is Falskaar and I cannot tackle that (I do not even know if I got all things correct in BOYD ;-))

There is a new patch for Wyrmstooth with Requiem 1.8., in case you have missed it:

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/60706/?

So my recommendation would be - you can install 1.8 and also use some of Aziroks patches, but please check with TES5Edit if there are any conflicts/errors.

I only hope that I do not have to go through all this again with 1.8.2, argh :D

Happy Xmas holidays

I'm now back in the Requiem game and currently testing 1.82. I am using my own new build, a sort of hybrid SR / REGS / Requiem but with far fewer mods. The reason being that installing SR and or STEP in it's entirety is quite a task and I am not entirely convinced that I like all the choices or that many of them are even necessary. I'm going for minimalism - in that if I see or notice a problem or something that I need then I will add it in. Just using 2 patches at the moment as far as Requiem goes. The ETaC - Complete one and this one "Requiem - Unofficial Patches Patch and Dragonborn Reqtified" from "More Requiem Patches". This covers everything needed for STEP in one file. There are many others there as well.

Anyway I will post any useful findings on here as I go.

Merry Xmas ::D:

Will do. Am away from PC but when I left to go to the folks for Xmas I had most of it down pat, except that the game won't load a new game the dreaded ILS. I will ned to figure out what is causing that, possibly a conflict. I will need to build a CR patch when I return, should be straight forward though there are very many it would seem despite few ESP files.

Oh well something to look forward to I guess.

Nope, I've been away, and also gotten sidetracked looking at some other issues. There is enough information posted on here to get a working Requiem with STEP but do not have enough time or will to get into any major restructuring and problem solving just at present. There is only one patch needed, link is above. SR is not compatible yet as key specialist patches are not available AFAIK.

Are you sure it's not compatible yet?

I thought that e.g Immersive Creatures or OBIS would be missing a compatibility patch.

One can't use Hard Times anymore, but it's easy to get similar effects with Scarcity etc...

But other than that..

Momentarily I'm having a hard decision whether I should go with Requiem 1.73 or the newst one. I have SRLE and REGS fully installed.

Pros of 1.73 would be that it seems to be fully compatible with everything of SRLE and REGS, due to Azirok patches.

Negative things... no new updates and no Reproccer, obviously.

I thought that the Reproccer would maybe make a lot of sense for quest mods like the Elder Scrolls Series from thirteenoranges. So that the enemies would not be too much underpowered, since they'll get weapon and armor stats and basic perks from Requiem (I'd think).

Pros of 1.8 would be the new version and Reproccer, but as we know there is lack of compatibility. And I'd love to have at least SIC. ::(:

Yes mainly the problem is mods like SIC and HLE that do not have up to date patches, HLE never had one I'm not sure why. 1.8.2 should generally work with SR but there will be little issues with some enemies being to easy or overly slowed by heavy armor. None of this is earth shattering. The current Requiem pack is for 1.73 I will need to completely redo it for 1.8.2. There are far less patches required though but before I attempt to do that I need to get STEP and SR installed on my system again and then get Requiem working with them once I've done that I can re-write the pack. Just do not know when I will get the time.

If anyone is using new patches successfully with 1.8.2 they could save us all time by adding them to the wiki using the appropriate form. Then  those patches can be added to a table in the guide. Running the Requifiticator and load order instructions would then need to be added, so again anyone who has successfully solved those problems can help out by listing their thoughts. I wrote the first pack on this site not because I am the most skilled or knowledgeable member but because I knew that once packs began to appear others would get involved and make huge improvements. Ultimately one needs to do stuff to make things happen, much more rewarding than waiting around for others to do it.

I wish I had the time but I don't, that said I do tinker and will probably get testing done at some stage I am just reluctant to put any timescale on it.

P.S. The reproccer is still in development and will eventually reduce the need for many patches. You can keep up with that via the nexus page and related sites linked to from that page.
