This is UFO4P bug 28142 that should be included in a future release of UFO4P.
DoubleYou Posted June 19, 2022 Posted June 19, 2022 Dang, is that why he was harder to defeat than I remembered? I had to squirt with the squirt gun, quick switch to my weapon and shoot once maybe twice before he was repowered up again. Took awhile to wear him down, even with my companion cryolating the crap out of him (Give your companion the Cryolator... thank me later).

I think the vanilla behavior is that the shield should recharge slower if you remove the fusion core, but apparently Bethesda got the data backwards so it recharges faster. And, yeah, my first time through I was alone and I had to go through it several times without success.
DoubleYou Posted June 19, 2022 Posted June 19, 2022 Nuka-World and Far Harbor are rather hard at low level, so I normally wait till I'm very high level to go there. Loads easier when you can ignore mines (sneak perk I think), hack robots (Robotics Expert), and pacify animals (high level charisma perk).
