TechAngel85 Posted December 9, 2019 Posted December 9, 2019 Discussion topic: Cathedral - Plants by The Community Wiki Link
sirtechfan Posted May 29, 2020 Posted May 29, 2020 According to the official mod description for Cathedral Plants, it states: If using Cathedral Landscapes, you'll want to delete the "plants" folder from that mod. The STEP Guide doesn't have us do that, so I'm curious why. The plant textures in Cathedral Landscapes mod are older than the ones in Cathedral Plants, so we are effectively "rolling back" to an earlier version of about half of the textures in Plants. Are the older textures superior? I know I can play around with the textures and see for myself, but everything in the STEP guide is done with a purpose so I just wanted to ask why it's being done this way to help me better understand the thought process. Thanks!
TechAngel85 Posted May 29, 2020 Author Posted May 29, 2020 I was under the impression Plants was fully incorporated. Seems part of it is, but most of it isn't. Curious as to why not... I'll see if it's planned to be integrated, if not, I'll move it down in the list.

CorneliusC Posted September 28, 2024 Posted September 28, 2024 Apologies for reviving an old thread, but I was asking myself the same questions as the original post. There are some comments on both mods' post sections on Nexus, which seemed similarily confused, The last changelog for 'Cathedral Plants' also states: 'Added missing normal maps in case Cathedral - Plants overwrites Cathedral - Landscapes', which seems to me to suggest to set 'Plants' below 'Landscapes' to partially overwrite (which is what I am trying out now in my 2.3 game). Anyone had any experience with this so far?
z929669 Posted September 28, 2024 Posted September 28, 2024 Moved to the relevant mod topic. I vaguely recall discussing this years ago, but it doesn't seem to be on this topic or the other 'plants' mod topics that I could find. This one was 'accepted' probably for one of the first of our SSE guides. My guess is that we liked this mod well enough to cover the plants outside of CL, Hybrid's and the few other plant mods we are using, but since we have no test data, we're letting it be overridden where applicable.
