This mod has been added to the STEP Compilation.

v2.0 incoming:

- rebuilt many of the texture of the previous version, especially the texture of the tundra, rocks, snow and leaves

(IMPORTANT - the texture of the rocks have been upgraded to be compatible with the following mod: https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/27753,

then for maximum compatibility especially color, TIP OF installing it)

- added to the normal map of the mountain's texture to 8k, coordinated with the mod: https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/27753

- added texture high definition streets

- added texture of the landscape dlc Dawnguard

- added texture of the landscape dlc Dragonborn

There are two new mountain textures 4k² resolution. One in light color and one in dark color. Big textures but maybe they're still good when resized?

I am very interested in the dark mountains. The dark will improve sky texture rendering dramatically I think (if they are good enough). I will also be reducing them to 1k :P

I am having issues with installing the serious HD 2048 version of the main file. It says that the file is corrupted. Though with the 1024 version it works..? Does anyone know about this issue?

I might just have to redownload the 2k version. Files from Nexus get corrupted from time to time during the download.

Redownload the 2k file, this something that is pretty common with larger files on the nexus.

Should I just install the 1024 version and continue with the installation then? I don't catch up on that redownloading thing, do the STEP team manage the nexus mods as well?

No we do not, the nexus is just the best place to acquire mods for Bethesda games. Sometimes the downloads from their site can get corrupted during the download, so you have to redownload that mod to get a non-corrupted file.

The 2.2.8 install order puts Serious HD Retexture Riften before SRO, and SRO overwrites all of it.  Better to adjust order, or is this just in case someone doesn't want to install SRO?

I believe it's the latter, in case someone doesn't install SRO; however, I could be wrong.

Actually, the Riften addon is still providing 9 out of the 35 textures it provides, and I think they are rather obvious textures too.

The wiki page for this is correct, however on the 2.2.9 guide, the last column is displaying the following instead:

Install the Serious HD Retexture RIFTEN 1024px main file and the Serious HD Retexture RIFTEN 1024px optional file.
