Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
Neovalen replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Supposedly there is an "updated" version coming at an unknown date in the future. Ofc that has been said before and the page has been up/down several times over the last year. I also just got a response from AceeQ about an update for Realistic Aspen Trees: So unfortunately its either live with the mismatching LOD or remove realistic aspen trees. I hate when quality stuff gets abandoned and becomes out of date. -
SKYRIMLE Real Shelter - Full Release (by Robinsage)
Neovalen replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I'm going to put this here, the new 1.3 version appears to work nicely and there is almost no jarring visual transition. The only "issue" is there is a slow transition from raining to not raining (rain doesn't stop immediately, takes about 15 seconds). There was some warning spam in the log regarding script properties at startup but worked great afterwards. Unfortunately it looks like he temporarily took down 1.3, probably due to this minor issue. In any case, its much improved over 1.2 with its compatibility and jarring visual transition. Something to watch for! -

@Heliadhel Glad you are enjoying the game :D @James4832 Maybe? It depends on how it fleshes out between now and then. There are some annoying bugs still. Well, either that or I need to learn to edit PaMa XML files... @All: In a bit of a conundrum here, apparently Dagi-Raht and Realistic Aspen Trees were both pulled from the nexus. I found a new download for Realistic Aspen Trees and updated the guide, no luck on finding a mirror for the UNP textures for Dagi-Raht. So questions: 1) SFO 2.0e has upgraded LODs but Realistic Aspen Trees has not yet been updated. Not sure what to do in the interim, but I think the SFO LOD is superior even with the color mismatch... at least I dont notice the issue at uGrids 9. 2) i think the alternative to Dagi-Raht is not as good but its all I can find: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/11400/?, Beast races need some real love. Should i just update the guide to use this instead? -
Mass effect can be registered on Origin from Steam so not that big an issue really. :)

pack Dreadflopps Modular patches
Neovalen replied to dreadflopp's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
To be fair, Bethesda's ghosts also drop gear... I use SiCs purist preset to avoid most lore unfriendliness. Worst offender for me was the Draman but they are disabled in Purist. :) Not due to looks they were just way OP. -
Dragon Age origins is one of my favorite games of all time. Doing a play through soon to prepare for DA:I as a refresher also started a guide on the wiki for modding in case it wasn't noted... Still very much WIP. Congrats Tech, Xcom is a lot of fun and addicting... If disheartening as the aliens wipe you out. Lol

Changing Mod Organizers Download Folder Path?
Neovalen replied to GamerPoets's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Yes, look in MOs settings. I cannot be more specific as I am not at home. Iirc it may be greyed out at first and you have to click a button to edit custom paths. -
Missing (black/purple) Texture? Report it here!
Neovalen replied to Farlo's question in DDSopt Support
It makes life easier when your doing compares of files between mods(contents not file names), working with the CK, using DDSOpt, trying to debug any issues, create merged assets, use of other tools, etc. I find the benefits to extraction outweighs the negligible perf hit and moderate disk space. This is especially true when hardcore modding... For a simpler setup you probably wouldn't need to. -
Missing (black/purple) Texture? Report it here!
Neovalen replied to Farlo's question in DDSopt Support
As for delete vs optional: I don't like cluttering up folders with files that will never be used. In this case, a dummy esp. In the end, either way works the same. Disk space is simply a bonus. I do recommend optional folder use when doing merges as those could be used again later. -
Problems building Bashed Patch since MO 1.2.14
Neovalen replied to hypercleats's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I thought I had an issue in the latest MO as well but at least for me the bashed patch is actually being updated properly in the mod folder. For some reason the timestamp doesn't update but the file contents do. Did you actually load it up in TES5Edit to check? -
Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
Neovalen replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
1. It wasn't removed per se.... Just not put back in when the restart happened.2. SkyTest is very heavy on the game between new spawns and AI packages so adding it on needs to be weighed carefully.3. My attention has been elsewhere with my vacation and testing Perkus Maximus. -

ACCEPTED Skyrim -Community- Uncapper (by Elys)
Neovalen replied to skwareballz's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Alright, so since I was recently testing Perkus Maximus (Beta) I had a custom ini file for this mod. Despite it being loaded later than the original ini I had to hide the one that came with this mod to get it to properly use the new one. I really dont know why but I've seen a few topics about this and wanted to give an update with the latest MO. Alternatively of course you could replace the default ini with any new one. -

Fixes are always good... Just wish there was an easier way to find new conflicts/resolve them. -
Quick way of reducing the files in SRO 2k?
Neovalen replied to Spock's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Use Beyond Compare to compare the two folders. Filter on single side only then delete. That's how I do things like this. -

MO "failed to parse" ESPs generated from SUM
Neovalen replied to Nauglamir's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
I assume then that your Skyrim or Mod Organizer is installed in Program Files. Delete both the 0kb files and read the FAQ/Sticky on the DSR page for solutions. -
This is true... but the new cards are cooler, faster, and more efficient. These are all good things despite the same silicon. :D That being said, with my 970 SLI setup with uGrids 5 I can run 60 fps solid indoors and outdoors. uGrids 7 brings me down to 45ish fps outdoors, indoors unaffected obviously. uGrids 9 brings it down to 30-37 at all times but still butter smooth. This is running SR:LE. Some images that show the difference between Grids 5 and 9, note this is at 2560x1600 resolution... 1080p should be better performance:

In windows explorer what is the size of said esps? If 0kb you could be having a permissions issue. -

Make sure merge is turned off in SUM options.
