Deleting the contents of "downloads" folder
DanimalTwo replied to Judassem's question in Mod Organizer Support
I have my downloads directory on another drive (not my SSD) and have MO point to it. Thus none of my archives are on the SSD. -
I have not been logged in for a while as I was having computer problems and missed most of the paid modagodon. The last windows patch updates screwed up my computer and I still haven't found a solution. The patch was KB304599 and put me in a blue screen of death (BSOD) at every start up. I have hid that update so I can actually use my computer. I have been following the Steam Workshop (SW) paid mods with interest and haven't been able to comment or add to the discussion until now, but I have read the full thread. Here is the solution I propose. The best business plan (IMO) that would I think benefit everyone is the one Google uses for YouTube. Basically it would require the viewing of a 15 second Ad (or insert amount of time here) to download a mod from the Nexus or any other entity that decides to use this plan (from here on out the Nexus is considered the entity, but they do not have to be). Content creators on YouTube can earn money, but they do so by collecting a portion of the Ad revenue Google receives. The more views a content creator gets, the more Ads served, the more money they both earn. Thus, there would have to be a revenue sharing agreement between the Nexus and the mod author (MA). This could be something that the Nexus implements themselves or a new player implements themselves. I do not have to technical or legal knowledge of might be involved and I understand the the Nexus owner may not wish to be responsible for finding Ad sponsors, collecting money, and making payments to MAs. However, this would be possibly their most financially rewarding option and both the MAs and the Nexus win. For every mod download, except for premium Nexus members, you are forced to watch an advertisement, whose revenue is split between the Nexus and the MO. Those MAs who create more views (presumably because their mods are the most popular), receive the most funds. The more downloads, the more Ads a MA generated, the more money. It is essentially, YouTube's business plan and some people are able to make a living (think Gopher). Alternate Plan: The above plan would benefit the Nexus as they would earn the most money if successful. The alternate plan would be for the Nexus to get in bed with Google/YouTube. In this scenario Google would handle all the financial transactions and serve the Ads. Here Google takes most of the cut while also being responsible for getting advertisers, serving Ads, and any financial involvement. Both Nexus and MAs get a cut, but MAs cut depends on how many people download their mods. For this to work the Nexus would have to be willing to work with Google. In this plan, the Nexus cut would be smaller, but still financially rewarding without having to deal with paying MAs. The danger for the Nexus would be that Google could simply do this on its own and the Nexus would be out of business. Mods Should be Free: Certain MAs may object to Ads or someone else should be making money off their mods. Thus, there would have to be an agreement between the MA and the mod server provider whether or not they wish to receive money from Ads or not. What do you think? Would it work?

Papyrus Compiler Fix For 64-bit Systems???
DanimalTwo replied to Anubitz's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
The fixed worked for me. I did have to uninstall the C++ Redistributables both 32 & 64 bit. They were reinstalled with the installation and were updated with windows update. Problem solved. -
Main Menu won't appear - 2nd time reinstalling from scratch >_<
DanimalTwo replied to Ayumura's question in General Skyrim LE Support
You had the Requiem - Wyrmtooth.esp after both any Requiem and Wymtooth ESPs? It should be placed right after Requiem.esp. -
MO Failing to Download through Nexus
DanimalTwo replied to Shadriss's question in Mod Organizer Support
This may not solve your problem. I only manually download mods from the Nexus and thus use my browser (Firefox). I just set the download directory to be my "MO\downloads" directory. One still needs to right-click on the mod from the MO "Downloads" tab and click "Query Info" to get the mod information when done. -
LOOT and BOSS may sort a your mod's ESPs in a different order. This may effect any patches that you use that expect a specific order for their use. If both LOOT and BOSS sort any of those patches in the same order, then none.

I have never figured this out either, but I practically never use CK. -
Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
DanimalTwo replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Glad things worked out for you. Still planning to SLI your 980s? -
So you finally finished SR:LE. Great! Understand that one of the beauties of MO is profiles. Create the profile then make it your own. So I at one time, I had all the the following: Neovalen's base - before adding mods up until SKSE. SR:LE - Neovalen's My SR:LE - My version of SR:LE with mods missing and tons added. SR:LE-REGS - Neovalen & CJ2311 My SR:LE-REGS - Stuff missing and additional stuff added. My point is now that you completed SR:LE (STEP or whatever), make a copy of the profile and put your own spin on it. Maintain your versions as well as the original versions. Understand, that you cannot willy nilly use the same save game for each profile. Most of My versions of the game include NPCs (especially well voiced ones), most Populated Mods (no longer on Nexus), and some from sites that probably cannot be mentioned here. Removing mods that the original PACK/STEP maker liked, but you may not requires knowledge of TES5Edit to remove references from the patches from mods that you may not use. Removing the mod references presents some problems, but this may not be a major issues if you made your own "SR Conflict Resolution.esp" patch instead of simply downloading Neos pre-made one. You should have learned the basic skills.

fnis FNIS version 5.3 - Error(53) cannot access file
DanimalTwo replied to toonfan's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I had the same thing happen. In my case I created a mod from the overwrite folder and with those files present I received the error. The solution was to deactivate my overwrite mod and let FNIS generate new files in the overwrite folder and then cut and paste those files into my mod overwrite. If you maintain your FNIS files in MO overwrite folder, delete those, and run FNIS again. -

I would go for that deal if it were an i7. Waiting for Summer when the wife isn't here to complain. -
Mo wont recognize my newly downloaded dragonborn dlc
DanimalTwo replied to biglost3601's question in Mod Organizer Support
Whenever you update Skyrim through steam, for example verifying integrity of your Skyrim cache, you have to first run skyrim launcher through steam in order for MO to recognize the changes. This is needed for the windows registry. -
question about LOOT in Mod Organizer
DanimalTwo replied to nataboiz143's question in Mod Organizer Support
Current version of MO is 1.2.18. If you are using 1.3.3 you are using a beta version. Expect problems and report them. -
Game not rendering anything on New Game
DanimalTwo replied to ZenPanda's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
Fire up BASH through MO. What is that telling you about your load order. On the left green (no issue), orange (masters out of place), red (missing masters). If you are following SR:LE you should be using BOSS, not LOOT. This is due to the "SR Confilct Resolution" patch expecting ESPs in the specified order. Another place to look are your INI files. These are in your "MO\profiles\{whatever you call your current profile}" directory. You did start SR:LE with a vanilla install (nothing is in your actual Skyrim\Data folder except vanilla files?) and nothing in your Skyrim folder except for the SKSE binaries and the ENB files/folders? When you installed mods you activated them by checking the box to the left in the right pane and moving them (by dragging if you installed out of order) to there specified location. For mods the contain optionals you made sure you checked any additional ESPs that may have been installed on the right-pane. The fact the none of your assets are loading seems to indicate you did not install mods using Mod Organizer. -
Also recommended, complete SR:LE to get the base down up until SKSE. Than copy that profile to start SR:LE. Once you have SR:LE make a copy of that profile and then have at it. Modding that is.

Unless you want to help Tannin (the mod author) debug the latest beta version of MO, I would suggest you stick to the the current version 1.2.18. Tannin hangs around these parts and is very responsive, but based on your new status, stick to the current version.

Which version of MO are you using? If what you are saying happens, it should be reported as a possible bug.

did MO load the plugins inside a mod correctly?
DanimalTwo replied to atkbane's question in Mod Organizer Support
If you want to make sure MO sees it, left-click the Data tab on the right pane, scroll down to SKSE, expand the folder to show plugins, and check if it is there. If it is your are fine. -
Very unstable game
DanimalTwo replied to Kampher's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
You should probably post your full ENBlocal.ini, but based on what you are showing: VideoMemorySizeMb=3968 should be 4096 because your card has 4GB of VRAM. ReservedMemorySizeMb=512 is tricky because it is system dependent. It can be 64, 128, 256, 512, or 1024. Lower is better, but should be raised if you experience stuttering especially when turning 360 degrees. Since you posted in the SR:LE forum, follow Neovalen's lead: https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Neovalen/Skyrim_Revisited_-_Legendary_Edition#ENB_Series_Graphics_Modification -
Very unstable game
DanimalTwo replied to Kampher's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
This is not entirely correct. Only the 3 SKSE binaries should go into ones actual Skyrim folder (..\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\). The other directory should be in your mods folder where the remainder of SKSE was installed "..\MO\mods\Skyrim Script Extender\" or whatever you called SKSE when it was installed with MO. In that directory your should create a SKSE folder and create/place the SKSE.ini file. So it should look like this: "..\MO\mods\Skyrim Script Extender\SKSE\SKSE.ini". -
Patches should always below lower then the main plugin and the ESP your are trying to patch. Your can place them after the main plugin as long as the main plugin is lower the other ESP you are trying to patch. So you can use: Patch.esp AFTER Main.esp or Patch.esp BOTTOM Compatibility Patches You should check with TES5Edit that your patches do not have compatibility issues with other patches or mods. I do not use the mod in question, however, anyone using REGS can correct me if I am wrong.

So just how does Mod Organizer handle the right plugin pane?
DanimalTwo replied to myztikrice's question in Mod Organizer Support
There is no trolling. What was given is needed to answer your question. If you do not want help, do not ask and if you are not going to follow advice or follow up on what was ask (for example what BASH shows) why bother to ask a question? From what was ask "Wind Destruction.esp" is the master (I do not use the mod in question and therefore do not know) and BASH would answer that question. Another way would be to use TES5Edit. It will fail to load completely when there are missing masters or masters are out of order masters, thus BASH can answer the question. Finally mod organizer will also tell you, with a right triangle with an exclamation point next to the ESP on the right pane. What Phazer11 ask should be taken in the same vein. Basically you are doing something wrong or not understanding something and we are trying to figure out why/what. You obviously had to bump the post, given the vague information you gave. No one initially helped you and when they try, you complain. If I am misunderstanding something, please explain.
