Game Performance degrades to multi-crashes after several hours.
DanimalTwo replied to Spankahontis's question in General Skyrim LE Support
The above means you have means you have SKSE installed correctly. In your mod list, you have something called "64 Bit ENBoost". If this is Boris's ENBoost (I suspect it is), it should be installed in your actual Skyrim binaries directory (not Data) and not through MO. -

Install Memory Blocks Log, it is by Sheson the same mod author the came up with the memory fix used by SKSE. If you installed SKSE correctly, you will get a file in your "MO\overwrite\SKSE\Plugins" directory called "MemoryBlocksLog.log" that should look something like this: If this file is not created you did not install SKSE correctly. -
Thanks for the advice. I went back to just Vividian ENB 6.30 with ENB 0.265, but was still getting CTDs. I was able to fix this by going to the Skyrim directory and manually deleting anything ENB related as junk that was left over from Helix and the Skyrim 3D Optimization Project. Then I changed all INI files to eliminate any vsync settings and used ENB Manager to enable Vividian. I reset nvidia's control panel to default settings and now everything looks great. I still get the message from Frostfall about the script running slow and turning itself off. However, I run SR:LE with lots of scripting mods (especially NPC's) on top. The number of scripting mods I use is probably the issue. So basically I am running with just the nvidia drivers and the minor INI changes with no issues. The be fair, I have not played that long so other issues may develop, but problems with shadows and disappearing candle flames are gone. I am not getting the best frame rates, probably about 30 fps outside. I might have to use this as an excuse to follow Neovalen's lead and upgrade to a GTX 980. Currently, leaning toward EVGA GTX 980 4GB FTW. The card Neo didn't buy though the Gigabyte GTX 980 4GB G1 has not been ruled out (I am not sure I like the size, though it will fit in my case). On the youtube issue, I do have Silverlight installed and can view 3D videos and pictures on other sites no problem. From reading other forums, I gather nvidia and youtube must have had a falling out and youtube no longer hosts 3D Vision enabled videos. It was pointed out that before the change the Firefox browser was needed (my default) with HTML5, however, for 3D HTML5 videos they only have split screen. To get 3D videos one needs to type "yt3d:enable=true" and then under options select a 3D method. None of the methods work with 3D Vision. Again much thanks for you help. I would have given you a +1 if I could, but since you are staff I can't.

I had the chance to try the 3D Vision 2 Kit yesterday. Skyrim SR:LE started without any modifications to any settings, but the shadows looked really weird and the flames of some candles kept disappearing. Also Frostfall complained about its scripts running to slow and it said it was turning itself off. To fix these issues I tried Helix's Skyrim 3d as well as the 3D Vision Complete Compatibility Project, but so far with no luck. Starting from a previous save indoor or out caused a immediate CTD after the game menu screen. If I start a new game I can start Live Another Life, but as soon as a choose and new life and start it, I get a CTD. So far I am thinking that I probably have some settings wrong. Currently, I tried using SKSE to start Helix's d3d9.dll renaming Boris's d3d9.dll to d3d9_enb.dll and am using: in DX9Setting.ini to start Vividian ENB 6.30. Then enblocal.ini states: I created a new enb config in ENB Manager called 'Vividian ENB 6.30 3D" where I place Helix's and/or the 3D Vision Project file along with the normal Vividian ENB files. I created a new ENB Version called 0.265_3D which is just the normal 0.265 with d3d9.dll renamed to d3d9_enb.dll. I active everything with "ENB Manager". So far I have not messed with any other INI settings. I don't have time currently, but later today, I planned to use Boris's ENB to fire up Helix's d3d9.dll, essentially the reverse of what I am doing now and see if that works. Other thoughts: Found youtube no longer supports Nvidia's 3D Vision or a least I couldn't get anything to work. 3D vision may be following the Dodo bird. I am really just waiting for the Oculus Rift.

@Neo, I hope you get your Gigabyte GTX 980 G1 today. It would be nice if you filled us in on how it compares to you Gigabyte GTX 970 SLI setup and also perhaps your previous SLI setup.

Unfortunately, UPS reschedule the delivery of the 3D Vision 2 Kit due to inclement weather. It is now scheduled for delivery on Wednesday. That is a shame, I would have had time to mess with it today. Now that will have to wait until Friday.

Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
DanimalTwo replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
That is what I do. To be sure, I delete everything in the overwrite folder first. If you keep your "SR Conflict Resolution.esp" there or any other custom made patches in your overwrite, move them first. If you are deleting mods whose ESPs are included in your "SR Conflict Resolution.esp" patch you will need to modify the patch removing those references using TES5Edit or your will have missing masters. -
SkyProc Patcher Failure
DanimalTwo replied to MagnificentToaster's question in Mod Organizer Support
If you have anything in your overwrite folder, delete all files and directories except custom made patches. Then run FNIS, LOOT, create Batch Patch. Finally run SUM, but as Nozzer66 stated, go into SUM options and uncheck run LOOT and uncheck merged patches. Merging patches, will only cause problems. Then set options for individual SkyProc patches such as DSR and create your patches. -
Unless bad weather hampers things (currently under winter weather warning expecting 5+ inches of snow Monday night into Tuesday), I am expecting to receive the 3d vision 2 kit, Tuesday. Did you have to make compromises with mods and ENB?

DDSOpt Crashing on _wl_glass_n
DanimalTwo replied to MasterInire's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
You are not suppose to run DDSOpt on the entire SR:LE. Use it only where instructed or you are asking for trouble especially with NPC textures among others. The file in question belongs to Wearable Lanterns. -
Where do you have MO installed? What do you consider the vanilla launcher? The one that has play, options, data files, tech support, and exit?
-
Document folder "\Users\{your user name}\My Documents\My Games\Skyrim"

If you look at the Skyrim Revisited guide I pointed you too, you should have started with configure Skyrim. From Neovalen's guide: Start The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim through the Steam context menu to open the launcher.Click "Options".Click the [Ultra] push-button.Set "Aspect Ratio" and "Resolution" through the drop down box. This should be set to the monitors optimal resolution.Set "Antialiasing Level" to Off through the drop down box.Set "Anisotropic Filtering" to Off through the drop down box.Click [Close].Click the [OK] push-button to close the dialogue and save. Then: Click "Play" on the launcher to start Skyrim. On the main menu, select "New Game".Allow the game to run until the SKYRIM logo has faded away and access the menu by pressing [ESC] on the keyboard. In the menu, select "Settings" then "Display".Scroll down the display menu and mark an X next to "Dialogue Subtitles" and "General Subtitles".Press [ESC] to go back to the category selection menu and select "Gameplay".Scroll down the "Gameplay" menu and remove the X next to "Save on Rest", "Save on Wait", and "Save on Travel".Click the right arrow on the selection bar next to "Save on Character Menu" until "Disabled" is selected.Press [ESC] until back at the main menu and exit the game. This gives you, your starting Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPref.ini. These are originally located at "\Users\{your user name}\My Documents\My Games\Skyrim" and are used if you start Skyrim outside of MO. You will need to make changes to these, but letting Skyrim create them for you is your starting point. I believe, MO copies these when you make your first profile. If not copy them into your current profile as someone else suggested earlier. Also TechAngel85, replied not Dragon King, that is his user rank, just like yours is Citizen. His advice making sure your DirectX is installed correctly is not a bad one.

I am not using all the mods you are. But here is my list of mods in reverse order for my Skyrim Revisited: Legendary Edition (SR:LE) profile. They are in reverse order: Tags such as ==Unofficail Patches==, etc are just empty directories to keep things tidy.
-
Right under the buttons on the top left is a pull down menu for profiles. Here is where you select the profile you want. Creating a new profile does not automatically change it to the new one. Each profile will have its own Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPref.ini. They are found in MO\profiles\{profile name}. If you copy one profile to create another, it will start with the same settings as the copied profile.
-
For step by step instructions follow this guide for Skyrim Revisited: Legendary Edition. It will take you through configuring MO, creating your first profile, etc. Instead of using 'Skyrim Revisited' as the profile name consider, using 'Skyrim Base Install'. Follow the guide carefully up until the creating the 'The Dovahkiin Comes' section. You can skip the ENB section, but you may want ENBoost. Once you have completed the install through creating the 'The Dovahkiin Comes' section, copy the 'Skyrim Base Install' creating a new profile (for example STEP, SRLE, or whatever you want) to build upon. Everytime, you want a different profile copy the 'Skyrim Base Install' as your starting point.

Based on your log SKSE is starting steam correctly. Navigate to your "MO\mods\[skyrim Script Extender}" folder, this is where you installed you SKSE Data folder. If done currently, should see a "scripts" folder, "meta.ini", and a "SKSE" folder. Note the the SKSE archive does not have a "SKSE" folder, this is something you have to create and it contains the "SKSE.ini" which you also have to create yourself. As stated by monkeycid, the Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini are stored in "MO\profiles\{name of your profile}". When using MO, the first thing to do is create a new profile. This will automatically copy the INI files into your new profile. Call the name profile whatever you want. After you created your profile, select the Default profile and click REMOVE and YES when ask. The name profile will have all your mods in the left pane and may need to be activated by checking the box to the left and sorting them into proper order by dragging. If you have done all of the above, based on your log file, you may not be properly installing mods using MO. To verify you installed SkyUI correctly, navigate to "MO\mods\SkyUI". You should see the following: interface folder scripts folder meta.ini Readme - SkyUI.txt SkyUI.esp If the Readme file isn't showing *.txt, your are hiding known file extensions, and it is likely you created a SKSE.ini.txt instead of SKSE.ini when you created that file. Hope it helps.

I am curious as to why you think SKSE is not working? Using skse_loader.exe only shows a quick cmd window before Skyrim starts. Since you reinstalled new, you do not have any plugins using SKSE. Nagivate to your "\Users\{your user name here}\My Documents\My Games\Skyrim" folder. If SKSE is working, a SKSE directory should exist that contains all your SKSE log files. They get updated anytime you start Skyrim with SKSE. Here is an example of the skse_loader.log file
-
In MO on the upper left side, click on the COGS button, it should bring up list on your MO executables. Click on SKSE, then at the binary "..." and navigate to your Skyrim folder and select "skse_loader.exe". Check the box for "Close MO when started". Finally click "modify". Then on the right side from the drop down menu select SKSE and click the run button. MO should close, a small window should open, and finally Skyrim should start.
-
Delete the *.exe and *.dll from your actual Skyrim directory. Those should be: skse_1_9_32.dll skse_loader.exe skse_steam_loader.dll
-
Please explain the process in detail on how you installed SKSE. Installing SKSE is a two part process. The first step off coarse is downloading to your MO/download folder. Then you need to find the archive in your download folder an extract/copy these files in your ACTUAL Skyrim folder NOT the skyrim/data folder: skse_1_9_32.dll skse_loader.exe skse_steam_loader.dll The second thing you need to do is install the SKSE just like you would any other mod within MO. If you do not know how to install mods using MO, say so. In the archive install just the Data folder using MO and in my case I call it "Skyrim Script Extender", but you can call it what you want. Finally NOT using MO, navigate to your install directory, mine is "MO\mods\Skyrim Script Extender" and create a directory called "SKSE" in caps. Go in the directory and create a file called "SKSE.ini". Make sure that windows is showing all your file extensions and you are NOT creating "SKSE.ini.txt". Finally, copy the folllowing into SKSE.ini: [General] ClearInvalidRegistrations=1 [Memory] DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768 ScrapHeapSizeMB=256 Now you are ready to trying running. On the right panel from MO, select SKSE, then click the RUN button next to it. If you did everything correctly, Skyrim will start using SKSE.

Missing Bathing In Skyrim MCM menu
DanimalTwo replied to Zoomacroom's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
Hopefully, you deactivated the main mods ESPs by double clicking the mod in the left window, selecting the 'Optional ESPs' tab, and moving all available ESPs to the top optional ESPs. I have the replacement ESP installed in a separate folder which I call "Bathing in Skyrim Merged" and is placed right after "Bathing in Skyrim" in the left window. This contains the new "Bathing in Skyrim - Main.esp". Make sure both these mods are activated in the left pane by checking the box. On the right pane, select the plugins tabs and make sure "Bathing in Skyrim - Main.esp" is activated by checking the box next to it. Hope it helps. -
I have the exact same keyboard and a Razer matching mouse.

The EVGA Superclocked is what my son bought. He is quite pleased with it, but runs on an old dell ultra monitor I gave him, that doesn't even do 1080p. The think the Gigabyte G1 980, is faster, but it is huge.
