Vilja in Skyrim for Skyrim Revisited
DanimalTwo replied to FCqt's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
The instructions for the "VIS-RLO-SoS Patch" do not seem to make sense. No conflict seems to be shown for the first instruction and in the following instructions: "VIS-RLO Patch.esp" does not even appear to be able to right-click on. I am lost. -
I am usually always testing on a virgin save, untouched by mods. I have found to get things to work, I needed to save and then restore from that save to get things to work.

Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
DanimalTwo replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
CBBE contains the bra texture. Reorder was deliberate but no functional change... just alphabetical order. Then it maybe that the wrong version is indicated in the guide. Because v.1.0 of CBBE Tsun Female Armor has only meshes.Unless I am missing something here. Me too. CBBE Tsun Female Armor was completely overwritten by UNP-UNPB Conversion of The CBBE Tsun Female Armor. So I came here to ask if this was intentional and why CBBE Tsun Female Armor was needed at all, but then I saw you already ask. The only thing I could think of, is perhaps I have the wrong version as the current version is 1.11. -

I had this happen when I installed the lastest XP32 skeleton. I ended up redoing XP32, DSR, and Immersive Animations. That fixed it, but I am not sure which one since I redid all and then checked the result. -
Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

I am still at a loss. It seems anytime the XP32 skeleton, Dual Sheath, or Immersive Animations are updated and I think I am following the instructions precisely, nothing works as it should. With a prior update, I had my character sheathing his sword on his hip and then popping onto the back. With the new XP32 skeleton, the animations show putting sword and shield on the back, but both disappear and there is a sheath for the sword on the hip. The instructions and not idiot proof. I am missing something, but I do not know what. The changes are applied to a virgin save untouched by any mods. The instructions state: Optionals(Via Installer): Skeleton Rig Map, Vanilla, Bolts Quiver - Chesko, Back Hip Dagger and Back 1H Sword - Chesko I tried both fomod and without (I think the installer should be stated if it can cause an issue). No luck. There is nothing about associated anims in the above instructions, but I tried that to, no luck. Somewhere I am missing something. Should I be deleting to overwrite/SkyProc folders? That I haven't tried. However, if that is the case, perhaps it should be made more clear. My initial process was: 1. Using fomod selecting one in each catagory, Skeleton Rig Map (nothing else), Vanilla, Bolts Quiver - Chesko, Back Hip Dagger and Back 1H Sword - Cheske (four things selected total) using replace. 2. Run FNIS. 3. Run Sum. 4. Test. Please help an idiot. Thanks for all your hard work. -
Ok, there must be something I simply can't get through my thick skull. I am all caught up with SR, but with the updating of XP32 skeleton, my character pretends he is putting things on his back, yet his sheath is on his hip. Depending on which installer I use, his shield will disappear or he just holds on the it but pretends he is putting it on his back. Can someone, please explain to the ignorant, how to update the skeleton, which installer to use etc. With a virgin save just after completing Helgren this happens. What I did was run XP32 Skeleton (both fomod and without using replace), running FNIS, running SUM. When that didn't work I also reinstalled Immersive Animations (using non-fomod replace), running FNIS, and SUM. I am just not getting it. Everytime Dual Sheath, XP32 skeleton, or Immersive Animations gets updated, something doesn't work. Perhaps I am incapable of following instructions. What I haven't tried is removing all SkyProc directories in the overwrite directory. Is this what I am missing?

Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

I am currently stress testing to reduce CTDs at least those in Riverwood using Skyrim Performance Monitor. With SkyTest just coming out of Helgren leads to an attack of 8 wolves. This lead me to optimized AV. I run several mods that add NPCs to Riverwood and used to crash entering the Inn there where most of the NPCs are. The problem was my extra mods were adding 6-7 people at the Inn. Solution: Used DDSopt to half size the normals for a aMidianBorn Book of Silent, since all the extra NPCs were using HD weapons and armor. I am currently going through all CTD places to figure out what compromises I need to make. I am willing to sacrifice great scenery for more people. SkyTest does add a lot of extra animals hence your probable problems. -

I run about 10 mods on top of SR. Those mods are usually adding people/follows to the game. Most are my favorite mods that I used before discovering STEP/SR. So for me the horse has always been there. But which mod add it? I never knew and deactivated mods I thought were adding it until I discovered which one. In the end it came down to UFO - Ultimate Follow Overhaul. Learn something new everyday. -

Yes, I have two mods that add people to Riverwood, I forgot the horse probably isn't in vanilla. The two mods are Interesting NPCs, which I believe adds three people to Riverwood among others added thoughout Skyrim and maybe the horse, and Girls of Skyrim, which adds four woman found in the Riverwood Inn. One of those two mods must be adding the horse. -

I have been stress testing SR in Riverwood with a clean save to determine what mods need to be DDSopted. Since I am running around trying to see what will make the game CTD, I do not care if I do stupid stuff. One of the things I did was steal the horse in front of the Riverwood Inn and then kill anyone and everything in sight while riding from one end of town to the other. While on horse back, I am seemingly invincible to all but the elf with the bow. Others can't touch me even if I just sit on the horse and do nothing. -

Funny isn't it. I creating a WORKING_DIR and copied the "AV Packages" folder from the "overwrite\textures" directory to it. Then I created a "AV Packages Opt" folder in WORKING_DIR and tried to optimize using DSSopt to no avail. The only thing that was missing was a "textures" named folder. Create "WORKING_DIR\textures\AV Packages\..." and everything works as is should. I don't know, is the a bug in DSSopt? -

It is because of the folder structure you are using! I had the same issue. The folder structure needs to be \textures\... in order for it to work properly apparently. Hence why it is not an issue for most mods since they have it like that. This was the solution. Thanks. Now on to the pain in the b*tt having to do them. -

Here is one. I have be trying to DDSopt Automatic Variants, but no matter what I do the file sizes remain the same. I am at a lose. -

I usually use TES5Edit. Select all and see if it all loads. If something is wrong TES5Edit will stop loading at that point. Then you know where your problem is. -
You probably have the wrong animation. You should have Dual Sword Wield -- Swords on Back. (The shield takes the place of one of the swords if you have sword + shield). If that does not work try adding the IAN Dual Sword Wield from Back optional file after the other. If that fails - Do you have the right skeleton? IAN Dual Sword Wield from Back optional file fixed it. Not sure why as this is not in the SR instructions. Oh well, thanks for your help. It is.Immersive Animations Author: Berzgore Version: 2.0 Optionals(Via Installer): Main, Sneaking, Strafe, Greatsword Sprint, Dual Sword Wield -- Swords on Back, Dual Axe Wield, Dual Dagger Wield, Dual Mace Wield, Rogue Stab Overrides: Better Turn Animation - Only One Pose Yes, and I reinstalled Dual Sheath, XP32 Skeleton, and Immersive Animation 3 times to no effect and yes I did select Dual Sword Wield -- Swords on Back from the installer. The animations put the sword on the hip and then popped onto the back. Not until adding the IAN Dual Sword Wield from Back optional file did things work and that was after using dual sword wield -- swords on back from the installer. But the installer had greatsword sprint listed twice and I selected both, perhaps that was the problem. I do not know. Thanks for your hard work.

I do not know what I am doing wrong, but the animations are not working correctly for me with Dual Sheath. I updated all the patches Neo added with the new xp32 skeleton, reinstalled all the animations, and am updated all the up to today's changes. I deleted the Skyproc Patches folder (because after the updates the shield was no longer stored on the back). Deleting the folder fixed that, but still the animations show the character putting the swords on the hip and then they pop onto the characters back. My guess is I am missing or misinterpreting instructions somewhere, just not sure where, short of starting all over again. I am loading a vanilla save to test things, if it makes a difference and the load is pure SR with no other mods. Time for bed, maybe I'll figure it out after work tomorrow.

Neo, With the new patches for xp32, duel sheath, and immersive animations for some reason when using shield and sword, the animation shows my character putting the sword in a non-existent sheath on his hip and then it pops onto the characters back. Really looks weird.

Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

I am wondering if anyone even bothered to check to see whether all the CTDs or infinite load screens are due to MO itself? Up until using MO, I had not ever experienced all the crashes SR provides. I have not tried installing all the mods with another mod utility, but have always been curious if it was MO especially after MO wiped out my SR setup. I did not lose any mods, but lost the mod order. This is my first post, but I have been trolling a long time. I am using i7-3820 CPU, 16 GB Ram, EVGA GTX 480 4 GB no SLI constant 60 fps with ENB, but have yet to experience any significant game play with this mod, though I will admit the results are beautiful.
