  1. LOOT and BOSS do the same thing, they sort your ESM/ESPs. Currently STEP supports BOSS.
  2. And Tannin's comment, the auther of MO, in the thread here.
  3. You still need the optional NCC downgrade with MO 1.1.2. Install that and reinstall SkyUI.
  4. This may be a problem with MO v1.2. Some people have been reporting that the ESPs do not install correctly when using an external installer. You can check this by going to your MOmodsSkyUI folder and making sure SkyUI.esp is not 0 bytes. Like EssArrBee I would recommend going back. I would also first take TheDane's suggection and installing the NCC optional downgrade. If you used MO v1.2 you may even have more problems that you are yet to be aware of.
  5. Thanks for clarifying that. Here is an example thread of what you can expect. This is not for you DoubleYou, I already PMed you. So don't take this as I knock. Point is use MO v1.2 at your own risk and if using it install the NCC downgrade. Best advice, use MO 1.1.2 also with the NCC downgrade.
  6. Look here: https://forum.step-project.com/topic/2124-general-support-thread/page-40. I solved two other peoples problems this weekend, with the simply advice I offered. Which is, if using MO v1.2 make SURE you also download the NCC optional. Use MO v1.2 at your own risk and if downgrading be to 1.1.2 (which is what I did after issues with MO v1.2) also make sure you install the optional NCC downgrade. Suggesting it is a non-issue is doing a disservice to your members. The fomod installer is used often in SR:LE, REGS and possible other Packs. I do not know about STEP as I never used it. I came here after reading about Neovalen's excellent guide (Skyrim Revisited) on some game news site and never left. For some stupid reason the search on this forum would allow "MO 1.2", "MO v1.2", without spitting out garbage, otherwise I would point you to the issues with included links.
  7. Is MO set to run as administator? If deleting manually using windows, was another application using those files and they were therefore locked?
  8. One word of warning. While MO v1.2.0 beta, has LOOT build in, it is known to have issues correctly installing mods that have a fomod installer. For example, not installing the ESPs. If you insist on using it, be sure to grab the NCC downgrade optional. In my case, I chose to downgrade back to MO v1.1.2 which also needs the NCC optional downgrade to be installed. Also, be aware the while LOOT shows promise it to is beta and may sort mods differently then BOSS. This comes into play when following conflict resolution patch guides that expect ESP/ESMs to be in a specific order usually those recommended by BOSS. I know. I was just pointing this out as MisterSkilly from his MO images, was setting MO to close whenever a utility was started. You may know this, but I was not sure if he does. Edit: spelling and grammer fixes.
  9. This is all normal behavior when running MO utilities. MO will unlock after the utility is closed. MO should only be set to close if running Skyrim itself.
  10. On the ETaC mod page there are no patches as explained in the guide as least not currently. There is only v10 and Instructions. Edit: Included mod I was talking about.
  11. Well I have I cousin who lives in Switzerland, but she is German. One other comment, you have MO set to shut down when running utilities. It should be set to shut down only when actually running Skyrim, like through SKSE. For utilities MO should remain open.
  12. You do realize you have the "Default profile" selected in the last image and "Skyrim Redone" in the first? Edit: Spelling correction.
  13. Yes looks correct. Is MO set to run as administrator? By the way my wife is German too and most of my family.
  14. It sounds like you did not correctly install or are not running your utilities though MO. This is the button that looks like a pair of cogs. This is where you setup your utilities. When running your utilities you should be selecting that utility from the pulll down menu in the right-pane to the left of the RUN button. If you are not doing this, you are running your utilities outside of MO and will only see your actual Data folder and not MO virtual directory. BOSS and LOOT do not need to be installed in your Skyrim folder, but MO needs to be set to correctly use them. This is where you use the cogs button to set them up. From you image you have nothing selected from your pull down menu on the right-pane next to your run menu. You need to use pull down menu to select the app you want to run and then select the run button.
  15. Never run BOSS outside of MO as it will not see the mods in your virtual directory. It will only see mod in your actuall Skyrim Data folder and there should be none if you are using MO correctly. I have had similar things happen, but not because of BOSS. In my case MO lost my mod load order for a profile. If this happens to you all mods in the left-pane will be unsorted and alphabetical. Unless you had a backup of your profile directory located in "{where ever you installed MO}/profiles" you will have to resort and check all your mods for that profile. I maintain multiple profiles, they are for example built around Skyrim Revisited - Legendary Edition (SR-LE) to which I may install additional mods while maintaining of pure SR-LE profile. If something goes wrong I can use that as a starting point. If not, you will have to recheck and sort all mods in the left-pane and doing so will active all the ESPs in your right-pane which you will see if you have plugins tab selected. Once done, running BOSS should sort you ESPs correctly. Edit: Spelling/grammer fixes
  16. MO v1.2 beta will work if you use the NCC downgrade optional. I used MO v1.2, but after the issues decided to go back to MO 1.1.2 with the NCC downgrade.
  17. So Skyrim crashes when launching without MO? Use steam to "Check Intregrity of Game Cache".
  18. If using SKSE 1.7 your INI would look like this: [General]ClearInvalidRegistrations=1[Memory]DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768ScrapHeapSizeMB=256
  19. SKSE.ini looks fine as long as you are not using SKSE 1.7.0.
  20. Which version of SKSE are you using? If you are using 1.07 and Skyrim Memory Patch 3.0 then that may be your problem. The settings for each in SKSE.ini are different. You should not be using both. Post your SKSE.ini.
  21. The ENB files should be in your actual Skyrim Folder, not the Skyrim Data folder. This is usually {where ever you installed steam}steamsteamappscommonSkyrim. In order for this to work you need to set this in your SkyrimPrefs.ini [Display]bFloatPointRenderTarget=1 Yours is set to 0.
  22. As EssArrBee suggested. Are the you editing the INI files in you MO/profiles/{your profile name here} folder? As he said, your INIs show you should not see the intro.
  23. You might want to put this between spoiler tags. Check for missing masters using BASH.
  24. I am assuming you use MO 1.2 beta. Download and install the optional NCC downgrade and install the MOD again. Or install 1.1.2 and also install the NCC downgrade.
  25. In Windows, Linux, Mac OS an "*" in a wild card the can represent anything. For example, let say I have files in a directory, called abc.txt, bcd.txt, abcd.doc, etc. If I type "del *.*" (windows) all those files will be deleted because I am deleting everything with a "." between them. In Unix typing "rm *" will remove all files in the directory no including subdirectories. If I type "del a*.*" all files starting with "A" will be deleted (windows). The the instructions install textures/dlc02/landscape/volcanic_ash_darkcliff_01*.dds means install textures/dlc02/landscape/volcanic_ash_darkcliff_01{put anything you damn well please instead of the "*"}.dds. Yes that includes "_n".
