  1. I am well aware of Neovalen's guide as it brought me to this site to begin with. I read about it on some gaming site (can't remember where). His guide taught me everything I know about modding, including using TES5Edit. Unfortunately, I still haven't figured out how to do conflict resolution or mod ordering on my own (if it isn't in BOSS), but am very good at following the provided instructions. Due to the fact that I learned so much here (thanks Neovalen), I try to help when I actually know the answer to questions. The problem is without Nearox, I do not know how to do REGS - SR-LE conflict resolution on my own. I really appreciate the hard work that the guide authors provide for all these guides.
  2. Thanks for this. I placed these myself, but was not sure if I had the correct load order. While I am very skilled at using the modding tools thanks to Neovalen's excellent guide. I have yet to learn order placement or conflict resolution on my own. I rely on people like you, Neovalen, Smile99, and others to do the hard work for me. Again much appreciated.
  3. About the badge, I think you have to message z from your nexus account to prove who you say you are.
  4. CJ2311 let me be clear here, I meant no offense by the WIP comment. My understanding, correct me if I am wrong, was that Nearox maintained the guides while you actually resolved the issues between mods and are the face of REGS. Both the SR-LE conflict resolution guides and the REGS guides showed no changes since April 12th. Yet, checking Wiki Recent Changes showed updates without explanation in the guides or errors pointed out in the guides in this thread were not fixed. For example, the REGS ETaC patches no longer being needed (without looking at the "Wiki Recent Changes" I would have never noticed), correct way to sort ETaC patches since update 9.2.1 and the errors in the SR-LE - REGS conflict resolution after I pointed them out still exist (so I no longer knew what was needed or not). I like the work both you and Nearox did, but was waiting for the guides to update so I could maintain my SR-LE - REGS install. I know you are working hard on what you do and appreciate it. Losing half the team must be difficult. But the truth is that the guide was becoming out dated and difficult to use, hense the WIP comment. I was considering dropping REGS entirely.
  5. Neorox has retired from Skyrim and REGS. The REGS guide and REGS_SRLE Patch guide are dated. I already pointed out problems with the REGS-SRLE Patch guide and so far those problem have not been fixed. Some things mentioned in the REGS-SRLE Patch guide have already been fixed by CJ, like SR-LE conflicts from RavenRockExpanded.esp are now included in the REGS patches. The problem is the guides are not being updated to reflect those changes which make the guides difficult to use. Currently, I would consider REGS a work in progress, and stay away from using it until the guides get brought up to date. That is unless you know how to resolve issues on your own.
  6. Shouldn't you be getting one of those nice shiny mod author badges?
  7. Depending on how you use MO, loose files always overwrite BSAs. I have MO set to extract all BSAs. To answer your questions: 1. The ESPs for the "High Resolution Texture Pack"s can be disabled. You can leave the BSAs checked as they will be overwritten anyways. 2. If you extracted the "Unofficial High Resolution Patch" its ESP becomes unnecessary. It can be deleted or unchecked it when you install with MO. 3. You should install both "HRDLC Optimized" and the "Unofficial High Resolution Patch". The "HRDLC Optimized" should be before the "Unofficial High Resolution Patch" so the "Unofficial High Resolution Patch" will overwrite some but not all the textures in "HRDLC Optimized". Double lift-clicking on the mods in left-pane of MO will bring up another window for the mod. Selecting the "Conflicts" tab will show you which files the mod overwrite and which mods overwrite its files. If you see a grey lightning symbol next to the right of the mod name in the left-pane, ALL of its files are being overwritten.
  8. You are using Bash to install the mods again in you actual skyrim mod folder. This is usually "{where ever you have steam}steamsteamappscommonSkyrimData". MO has your mods in a virtual directory that is not seen outside of MO, thus running when CK you will only see the mods in your ACTUAL skyrim data folder and none of those installed with MO. Like MO, installing with Bash can keep track of what files belong to a particular mod making them easier to uninstall when finished with CK. Your MO mods are located in the "MOmods{mod name}" directory. Because Skyrim itself is a 32-bit app, I won't hold my breath waiting for 64-bit support.
  9. The files are replaced.
  10. Make sure you have Alternate Start active and start TES5Edit. Select "SR Conflict Resolution.esp" in the left pane and expand by selecting [+] to the left of it. Using Neo's subguide find the records related to Alternate Start. I have found these: Block 2 > Sub-Block 8 > 000DBF12 MarasEyePond01 > Temporary > 00105C8C Dialog Topic (all records) Faction (partial list below) 0001BCC0 BanditFaction 00027242 VampireFaction etc. For each record you find when you click on it you will see both Alternate Start and SR Conflict Resolution.esp located in the right pane. Right click on the record in the left pane and select "Remove". Repeat for all the records related to Alternate Start. When done, in the left pane, right click on "SR Conflict Resolution.esp" and select "Clean Masters" and then right click again and select "Sort Masters". When exiting TES5Edit only "SR Conflict Resolution.esp" should available to save. If not you did sometime wrong. Now deactivate Alternate Start and start TES5Edit again. If it shows Alternate Start as a missing Master for "SR Conflict Resolution.esp" you missed some records.
  11. I have had this problem when running SUM, it started when version 2+ of the Unofficial Skyrim Patches came out. Usually it is due to the SkyProc patches not being able to find a master even though the master is activated. The following fixes it, for me at least, every time. 1. First I deleted everything is the 'overwrite' folder, except anything self made patches for example "SR Conflict Resolution.esp". 2. Run in order: BOSS, FNIS, BASH (recreate the patch), and then SUM (with options not to run BOSS and to merge patches). 3. Run TES5Edit, select none, select SUM.esp. 4. Right click on SUM.esp on the left pane and select "sort masters". I am not sure why this works. I assume it is because junk from previous SkyProc runs left in the overwrite confuses SUM. What I actually do for my self made patches is create a new mod folder for my conflict resolution patches for each of my profiles. That why I can just delete everything in the overwrite folder as everything there can easily be recreated anyways (following the 4 steps above) and I won't inadvertently delete one of my needed patches.
  12. Open TES5Edit in Mod Organizer (MO). Expand AOS2_DGDB Patch.esp using the [+] to the left of the ESP. Find the record in the AOS2_DGDB Patch.esp. Right click on that record and select "Remove". Repeat for all the other records. When done select AOS2_DGDB Patch.esp, right click on it and select "Sort Masters" then "Clean Masters". If you did this right, only AOS2_DGDB Patch.esp should have changed and needs to be saved when exiting TES5Edit. If other ESPs are listed you did something incorrectly.
  13. We are having a failure to communicate. I was not talking about the MO virtual directory. Things there look normal. I was talking about your windows directory. The SKSE mods EXE and DLL should be located in your ACTUAL Skyrim directory. This is usually under wherever you have steam installed. For example "Program Files (86)steamsteamappscommonskyrim". You need to use windows explorer or a CMD prompt to go there. What you see in your MO is your virtual directory with the things other mods using SKSE installed. In your REAL Skyrim directory you should have the following files: skse_loader.exe (This is the file MO should be set to run when you click the RUN button). skse_1_9_32.dll skse_steam_loader.dll You should the have SKSE 1.70 archive usually named skse_1_07_00.7z. You need to extract the above files and place them manually in your REAL skyrim folder (the one with TESV.exe in it, not the Data folder). The skse_1_07_00.7z archive also contains a Data folder, that you now use MO for to install like any other mod. That folder only contains the 'scripts' folder. Then using Windows (not MO) go the the directory you installed SKSE with MO, usually "ModOrganizermods{what you named the mod here}". That directory will ONLY contain the scripts folder. You need to create a SKSE folder in it. Then go in that folder and create the SKSE.ini file. Make sure you have windows set to show file extensions, otherwise you may be creating a SKSE.ini.txt file instead (which will not work). Then cut and paste what I showed earlier in the newly created SKSE.ini file.
  14. I run with uGrids=5 and have AI tweak in BASH set to 60 NPCs and use RealVision Performance ENB. I also have 16GB RAM and a EVGA GTX 680 4GB. Also run REGS with its patches. I do not worry about conflicts, meaning if there are any, I do not know how to personally resolve them. So far I have only run into problem with Helgen and the Fight Against the Thalmor mods, which was fixed by a REGS patch. Bottom line use my experience with many NPCs with caution. However, my current play through (since the Skyrim Memory Patch) has been the most stable I have ever played.
  15. The archives tabs shows what BSA you are using. I have MO set to extract all my mods into loose files. Thus the only BSAs I see are from Bethesda's Skyrim BSAs. If you followed Neo's guide (I suggested this for installing your tools only, the rest is if you want a SR:LE profile and to learn to you the tools which is optional) all the Bethesda HighResTexture packs have been extracted and optimized using DSSOpt. Thus these BSA's, since they only contain textures, are unnecessary as loose file will overwrite whatever is in a BSA. If you used DSSOpt on the other BSA's they are still necessary as they contain things other then just textures. Using MO, I have multiple profiles. The first is just Vanilla Skyrim, which is what you get running Skyrim through steam. The second is optimized Skyrim, it just contains the optimized BSA's created with DSSOpt following Neo's instruction plus SKSE. The cleaned Bethesda ESMs are on the top of my load order on the LEFT pane. You can move mods in the left pane anywhere you want by clicking and dragging. After that comes SKSE. For SKSE installation you have to extract the EXEs and DLLs and place them in your main skyrim directory (NOT the data directory). The rest can be installed like any other mod in MO (minus the EXE and DLLs). After that you are still not done. Using windows, you have to navigate the your MOmodsSKSE directory or whatever you called the SKSE directory and create a subdirectory called SKSE. In that directory you have to create a file called SKSE.ini. These are NOT there by default. You have to create them. The end result will look like this MOmodsSKSESKSESKSE.ini. I called SKSE 'Skyrim Script Extender' so for me it looks like this: "MOmodsSkyrim Script ExtenderSKSESKSE.ini". In the SKSE.ini file you create, copy and paste the following: These instructions can also be found in Neo's SR:LE guide. As I stated, I have more then one profile in MO, and this completes the second one which is the foundation all my other profiles are built upon. You should make sure Skyrim starts with SKSE. For my other profiles a make a copy of this working base using MO. Thus I have a pure SR:LE profile, a pure SR:LE @ REGS profile, SR:LE with my own mods thrown in, and finally a profile with SR:LE & REGS with my own mods thrown in. Before moving on I always had a fully functioning base on which to build and do not disturb that base. This was all learned, through carefully following Neovalen's excellent SR:LE guide (more then once as I made many many mistakes in the beginning). For you I recommend at least creating a working SKSE base then copy it to another profile and work from there. Since you mention this. Make SURE windows SHOWs full file extensions. Many people think they are editing SKSE.ini when in fact they are editing SKSE.ini.txt yet windows shows it as SKSE.ini. I have no idea why MicroSoft thought hiding the file extensions was a good default setting.
  16. I run all of the mods you mention and all of the Populated mods (No longer on Nexus can be found here) without issue with SR:LE & REGS. On top of that I run Civil War Overhaul, Travelers of Skyrim and most well acted voice follower mods. I do not include all that is in REGS because I am running out of ESP slots (so I have to selective as to what to add or keep). Sometimes the Inns get a little to crowded to move around in, but my profile is filled with NPCs.
  17. From your image, I would say your GeneralDisplays ESMs are out of order. They should be: GeneralDisplays.esm GeneralDisplays - DG GeneralDisplays - DB Your archives tab should not be showing a warning (triangle with exclamation point in middle). The idea behind MO is to be able to run a modded Skyrim without messing with the actual Skyrim folder. This is not entirely possible because SKSE's EXEs and DLLs and some ENB files may need to be installed there. However, you should be able to start vanilla Skyrim through steam without MO and it should start. If not, your Skyrim directory is corrupted and you may need to reinstall. Vanilla Skyrim should be able to run through steam before attempting anything with MO.
  18. Unfortunately I am at a loss why BOSS is not working for you. May I suggest Neovalen's guide to Skyrim Revisited: Legendary Edition (SR:LE). The beginning gives detailed instructions for setting up all the tools needed for modding. It was through following his guide that I learned how to use all the tools.
  19. I am assuming you downloaded BOSS outside of MO and installed it somewhere. I my case I installed it on D:Program Files (x86)BOSSBOSS.exe. Then you used MO to setup it up by clicking on the COGS (where you setup BASH). If you setup BOSS within MO, you have it listed as whatever you called it. I called it BOSS. So I see 'title BOSS' binary "D:Program Files (x86)BOSSBOSS.exe" and nothing else entered or checked off. When I say run BOSS through MO, what I mean is select BOSS (or whatever you called it) from the drop down menu on the right pane next to the RUN button in MO. Then click the RUN button. A browser window should popup in your default browser. In that window, you will see Summary, User Rules (if you have any), SKSE Plugins, and Recognised Plugins at the very left. You may also have 'UnRecognised Plugins' listed. The UnRecognised Plugins is something you have to do something about, meaning BOSS does not know what the sort order should be. The UnRecognised Plugins are usually taken care of using BOSS Userlist Manager (BUM). Clicking on Recognised Plugings shows your load order and any warning given with the UnRecognised Plugins shown last. Is what I described what you did installing and running BOSS?
  20. Make sure you are using this version of BOSS. Then set it up in MO.
  21. It is a load order issue. What is showing in orange, means you either have the masters in an order not expected by the ESP. As long as all masters are ahead of the ESP this usually does not present a problem. This can be fixed using TES5Edit. Open TES5Edit select none, click the mod, let things load, then right click the mod and select "sort masters". The masters HAVE to be loaded before of the ESP in question. If the ESP is RED in BASH you ARE missing the masters. From the list you first showed GeneralDisplays.esm should come before the GeneralDisplays - DG.esm and GeneralDisplays - DB.esm. Again your load order shows problems with BOSS. Are you running BOSS from MO?
  22. What CJ2311 said. All your patches are orange because Requiem.esp is loaded after the patches. For future reference, you can find your mod load order in your MO/profiles/{your profile name goes here}/plugins.txt and when posting them post plugins.txt between spoiler tags. Also your unofficial skyrim patches are out of order. They should look like this: Skyrim.esmUpdate.esmUnofficial Skyrim Patch.espDawnguard.esmUnofficial Dawnguard Patch.espHearthFires.esmUnofficial Hearthfire Patch.espDragonborn.esmUnofficial Dragonborn Patch.esp It seems like you have a problem with BOSS. If everything is perfect all your mods should show green.
  23. So while in BASH all your mods show green or orange? But yet when you try to create a Bashed Patch, they show as delinquent/missing? Can you provide you mod load order? Did you install the stand alone version of Wyre BASH?
  24. Like you set up BASH earlier today, all your utilities should be run through Mod Organizer (MO) in a similar manner (except DSSOpt if you use it). Mod Organizer will show you your missing masters. If you select the plugins tab on the right window (the one that shows your ESP and ESMs), if there are missing masters they will show with a triangle with an exclamation sign. Putting you courser over them will tell you what masters are missing. You can also do this with BASH. Run BASH through MO and any ESP with a missing master will show with a red box to its left. Clicking on the mod will show its masters in the right panel second from the bottom. If a mods ESP is orange it means the masters are not listed in the order expected, but usually causes no harm. These can be fixed with TES5Edit (left for a rainy day to explain). These methods will tell you what ESPs are missing. If for some reason you actually have the masters that are missing, but they are below the mod with missing masters in the load order shown in either BASH or MO, then you problem lies with BOSS not sorting your mods correctly or you have to use BOSS Userlist Manager (BUM) to tell BOSS how to sort the mods. Again running all these programs through MO. I do not use Requiem, so it is possible you incorrectly installed your patches and actually do not have the mods they are suppose to patch, hence the missing masters.
