  1. Does anyone else get stuttering/frame drop around Riverwood area with the Hunter's Cabin installed? Also, another suggestion: Beginner's Shack by Elianora
  2. I wasn't really expecting this to get picked by STEP, I just thought it'd be cool to share :p
  3. Those were my conclusions as well Leto
  4. It conflicts with Better Cities IIRC
  5. Since I'm planning to add Interesting NPCs to my game I'm going to be giving this a try. According to JohnNav (who appears to be involved in FLP and has been running tech support both in that and the AFT threads) FLP handles iNPCs followers near-flawlessly (there are reported issues when trying to handle iNPCs followers with AFT). I'll report any issues I come across, if any (hopefully none).
  6. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/64440/? Replaces vanilla bow models with ones the author feels would be something an actual craftsman would make. I found them a bit underwhelming at first but I think with the alternate textures they look particularly interesting.
  7. Recently released, might go well with Hypothermia https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/64798/?
  8. Yes! I can finally get his awesome backpacks without having to get Frostfall!
  9. Leto, have you checked out Follower Live Package? Apparently it greatly expands on follower AI/scripting and is fully compatible with AFT (as the author uses that mod too), CH and MHiYH
  10. I'm using WAO so compatibility with AOS should be alredy taken care of. It comes with a few patches and I managed to merge the CCO and EBT patches into my personal merged patch. I'm now wondering which of the STEP Extended sound mods I can remove if using this.
  11. Any thoughts as to which STEP mods this would conflict with/render redundant?
  12. After doing some more testing with RS + ELE and several SweetFx presets, I've come to the conclusion that RS is quite probably the ideal solution *if* using ENBs. While correct SweetFX presets can result in dark dungeons, it doesn't look quite "right" imo. So going from what Aiyen has said, while ELFX Enhancer is not good to use alongside an ENB, I think it's as good a solution there is for people who can't (or won't) run an ENB.
  13. The problem is, finding the optimal solution in the case we can't afford the performance hit of and ENB (yes, even "performance" ENBs)
  14. Sooo I did some testing with lighting mods. I had previously ran CoT Dungeons-Hazardous vs RLO vs ELFX which led me to settle on ELFX at first (oddly enough and contrary to most reports i found RLO made my game waaay too dark, and CoT not dark enough). I now ran the following setups: - Full ELFX (Exteriors + DLC + Enhancer) - SR:LE version (ELFX sans Enhancer + ELE Lite + Relighting Skyrim Edited Version) . Full RS (ELE Lite + RS ver 4) Also I'm not running any ENB and I have SweetFX turned off for now. My test battery is as follows (I'm only testing interiors as I'm leaving exteriors to WAO) -Helgen Keep -Whiterun, Dragonsreach -Whiterun, Bannered Mare -Forsaken Cave (I just cleared it so I can quickly run it from start to finish, and I think it's a good sample of general dungeons in Skyrim) -Solitude, Winking Skeever First off, RS on it's own won't do much. It does fix lighting placement but doesn't alter imagespaces or anything else, unlike every other lighting overhaul, so you'll still get bright dungeons and caves, which is what initially made me dismiss it until I saw a YT comment that advised running it alongside ELE Lite. With ELE Lite, it's quite different. Lighting is much improved and you have improved light placement. I also tried the SR:LE solution, but I wasn't quite as impressed as using the latest RS+ELE Lite. I'm thinking it needs an ENB to really shine. Personally I suspect that with RS ver 4, there is not really a reason to run it alongside ELFX since, if I understood correctly, they were used together to cover spaces which RS hadn't gotten around to yet, but with ver 4 RS should cover all (or almost all, there are only 3 areas that aren't covered yet according to the mod page) interiors now. When compared with ELFX, ELE+RS has an advantge in not making interiors quite as dark and shadowy. This is also a disadvantage however since dungeons are not quite as gloomy as oppressive compared to ELFX lighting. YMMV though, as running them side by side showed me ELFX is not as dark as I thought, the difference is not drastic but it's noticeable. Right now I'm evenly divided between ELFX or ELE+RS right now. Might need to see which setup runs better with SweetFX. BTW I didn't bother taking any screenshots, since I think lighting mods can only be evaluated by seeing them ingame.
  15. I want to use WAO but can't use ENB (Vividian Performance version drops my fps to below 30 with spikes into single digits). Is ELE still necessary, or does it not matter if I install it even if I don't use ENB?
  16. Regarding the issues with interior lighting (both with CoT and ELFX), did you try the Skyrim Revisited solution of an edited version of Relighting Skyrim?
  17. Is ELFX - Exteriors preferable to Lanterns of Skyrim when using WAO?
  18. Aren't WAF and Content Addon maintained by kryptopyr and ICH by navida1? At least it was navida1 who made the last update/upload to ICH.
  19. Someon in the comments section posted a replacer .esp he made for use with WAF and CCF.
  20. Has anyone checked if the 1.5 update of Improved Closefaced Helmets breaks compatibilty with Content Addon?
  21. Hey Leto, i'm curious if you have taken a look at the new Warzones? The old one was infamous for savegame bloating and instability, but apparently the mod was rewritten from scratch and is reportedly working now.
  22. Oddly enough, I just managed to fix some persistent stuttering I'd been having in my STEP Extended isntall (despite having 8gb of RAM + 2gb of vRAM and limiting myself to 1k textures) by dropping Reserved MemorySize to 64.
  23. YMMV but I found myself really liking fertigo pro, and it can be used with this mod t ofix the overflowing/collision issues, few as they are (mostly in menus IME). Although if you want to use the book fonts alongside other font replaced mods you need to make a few tweaks in fontconfig.txt (nothing too difficult, just copy/paste lines that aren¡t present and make sure the appropiate font is selected)
  24. SIM (formerly Fhaarkas Font Mod) tweaks the SkyUI interface for better compatibilty with font replacer mods. It fixed overlapping issues I was having when using Fertigo Pro. It also comes with it's own fonts, and includes other Interface tweaks, plus a optional font replacers for books and notes.
  25. Hey Leto, I'm just curious about your particular hardware settings, mostly as a point of comparison with mine to see if I need to take any tweaks into account in the settings. Also I just saw you made some changes in the Steam changelog. Do you have a changelong of previous changes somewhere? I hadn't checked your guide in a couple of days (troubleshooting some skyrim issues) and I'm curious what other changes you might have made.
