ACCEPTED Stealth Skills Rebalanced (by kryptopyr)
Greg replied to kryptopyr's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Unfortunately there just hasn't been enough people available for testing all these mods so Nebulous and myself have jumped on a few of them to try to get them into 2.2.10. -

Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - pre 2.xx
Greg replied to sheson's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
To clarify one potential point of confusion, the value in the first block is always 256 less than the DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB setting. This means if you have DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=756 and ScrapHeapSizeMB=256, the first row in Memory Blocks Log will be output as this: 500 256 As sheson astutely notes, you must enable Memory Blocks Log and then play the game until you reproduce the ILS or CTD because the values in the two memory blocks bounce around significantly depending on a number of factors. Once you reproduce the ILS or CTD, compare the values in the last row to the values in the first row. -
[BUG] Strange Camera Glitch During Intro Sequence

If it helps, this is my [Camera] section in skyrim.ini. Note that all the settings except fMouseWheelZoomSpeed are defaulted to the default settings. [Camera] fMouseWheelZoomSpeed=10 -
[BUG] Strange Camera Glitch During Intro Sequence
Greg replied to thelordcaptain's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I don't see anything in 2.F or 2.G that might cause this issue since these are mostly meshes and textures. The only things I can think of that might cause this issue are bad settings in the ini files or perhaps (although I think unlikely) XP32 Maximum Skeleton in 2.D. Fixes. -

Returning to Skyrim... where to start to update STEP?
Greg replied to ChatteringCat's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Start by downloading and installing the latest versions of the tools (Mod Organizer, LOOT, TES5Edit, Wrye Bash) and cleaning up the Skyrim folder to a vanilla state. You'll need to update to the latest versions of ENBoost and SKSE anyway, so it's probably best to start from a clean slate. I recommend installing the tools into empty or new folders to avoid any potential conflicts with older file sticking around that may not exist with the new versions. -

This should be posted in the original Skyrim Bigger Trees topic. -
From looking at the generic "cannot load library the device is not ready" error, this seems to be caused by permissions or something is locking the file so Mod Organizer can't load it. As silly as this might sound, browse to the ModOrganizer/dlls folder in Window Explorer, right click on archive.dll, click Properties, and see it is has an "Unblock" icon in the bottom right of the Properties dialog. If it does, click it and try running Mod Organizer again. If this isn't it, temporarily disable your antivirus and try running ModOrganizer. The only other thing I can think of is possibly installing the Visual C++ Redistributables Package for Visual Studio 2013, but I wonder if Mod Organizer will even start if it's missing mscvrt120.dll -- although I suppose this is dependent on the order of LoadLibrary calls in the code.

Solution for "Python Not Installed or found" error
Greg replied to Forze's question in Mod Organizer Support
Thanks for the information, Forze. -
The Requirements Only version simply increases the number of radiant quests required between "story" quests in the guild questline, and adds skill, level, and time requirements as well. These requirements are all configurable via a SkyUI MCM panel, and included bat file, or console commands. Before Your Trial in "Proving Honor" One defensive combat skill (Light or Heavy Armor, or Block) at least 30One weapon skill (One-Handed/Two-Handed/Archery) at least 30Player level at least 5At least 10 radiant quests done since joining (including one for each member of the Circle)Before Being Invited to Join the Circle before "The Silver Hand" One defensive combat skill (Light or Heavy Armor, or Block) at least 40One weapon skill (One-Handed, Two-Handed, or Archery) at least 50Player level at least 10At least 8 radiant quests done since "Proving Honor"Before Kodlak's Request in "Blood's Honor" One defensive combat skill (Light or Heavy Armor, or Block) at least 50One weapon skill (One-Handed/Two-Handed/Archery) at least 60Player level at least 15At least 6 radiant quests done since "The Silver Hand"Other Configurable Changes You will need to do 2 radiant quests for Aela and Farkas before the radiant quests for Vilkas and Skjor will unlock.Members of the Thieves Guild cannot join the Companions; members of the Dark Brotherhood need at least 60 Speech to join.Former criminals who once accumulated a large bounty will be unable to join without at least 60 speech.Vampires who are currently past stage 1 will be recognized for what they are and barred from joining until they cure themselves.Enhanced Skyrim Factions - The Companions Guild on Nexus I just went through the Companions questline and it blew me over to remember just how fast the player goes from unknown nobody to Harbinger -- I think it is unrealistically fast so I began searching for a mod along the same lines as Thieves Guild Requirements, Not So Fast Main Quest, and Timing is Everything. The Requirements Only version of this mod seems to fit very well and there are zero conflicts/edits in the esp and it comes with a well-designed MCM so the requirements can be customized. I just installed it and restarted the Companions quest, so we'll see how it goes. The default configuration may need a bit of tweaking depending on your character. I play a sneaky archer and my armor and block skills are usually non-existent, so I'll have to lower the defensive skill levels. I'm tempted to mark this mod for testing, but I thought I should let the topic simmer for a day or so to get feedback from others that have actually used the mod.

Have you tried disabling your antivirus software or adding an exception for Mod Organizer to see if this solves the problem? You might also verify you haven't installed Mod Organizer in a UAC protected folder (like C:\Program Files or C:\Program Files (x86).

Go through the guide one section at a time and test the game after you finish each section. If you run into any issues, go back over the section carefully to resolve the issue before moving on to the next section. If you know you want to install mods on top of STEP Core or Extended, make a note of any options or patches that need to be checked or installed so you can go back to these after you've completed the guide and have a stable game.
-
If you are installing STEP 2.2.9.2, you should go back through the guide once more to make sure you are using the latest versions of the mods (unless a specific version is recommended). Also note that some of the mods in STEP 2.2.9.1 are no longer installed because they are merged into the STEP Compilation. None of the mods in the STEP 2.2.9.2 guide require the older unofficial patches. If I remember correctly, I think Moss Rocks is in The Ruffled Feather.

You can't install both XPMS and XPMSE because they have conflicting animation files.
-
If this is on an existing save, something from SkyTweak may be baked into your save that's causing the problem. It's really not a good idea to uninstall mods in the middle of a game because some of the information is baked into your saves and persists even after the mod is removed.

You're right on the second point... Mod Organizer manages stuff in the Skyrim\Data directory.
-
When you install SKSE, the dialog that pops up saying "No game data on top level" looks something like this: <data> > [X] skse_1_07_03 Click the triangle to left of the checkbox for "skse_1_07_03" to expand the folder and you should see this: <data> skse_1_07_03 Data src skse_1_9_32.dll skse_docs.txt ... Right click the Data folder underneath skse_1_07_03, select Set data directory, and it should change to Looks good.

Make sure you have the x86 version of the Java runtime because the x64 version won't work in Mod Organizer. In the Modify Executables dialog, Dual Sheath Redux Patch should be setup like this: Title: Dual Sheath Redux Patch Binary: C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_45\bin\javaw.exe Start In: C:\Games\ModOrganizer\mods\Dual Sheath Redux\SkyProc Patchers\Dual Sheath Redux Patch Arguments: -jar "C:\Games\ModOrganizer\mods\Dual Sheath Redux\SkyProc Patchers\Dual Sheath Redux Patch\Dual Sheath Redux Patch.jar" Make sure all the paths above are correct for you installation.
