I tried with two and five mods that initially had no categories and that were already assigned categories and could not replicate this behavior either. -
You've probably have already done this a dozen times, so I apologize if this is redundant. Are you placing the Creature Pack just under FNIS Behavior in the left pane and have you verified nothing is overwriting anything in the FNIS Creature Pack?

I think sheson explicitly checks for birdshfclean.esp because it was causing Skyrim to crash when generating the words with it loaded. At least this is how I interpret the message from eternaldevastation: -
Make sure you don't have files from Mod Organizer 1.2.18 lingering in the Mod Organizer folder.

I went with the DAS Keyboard with Cherry MX Brown switches and red o-rings to reduce the range. Of course, the softer/quieter switch is my personal preference since my aging hands don't quite have the strength needed for the "piledriver" switches and I want to keep the noise to a minimum.

I don't think the speed difference is worth the extra $200, either. I think you'll be happier putting that $200 into something like a second monitor, a mechanical keyboard, or a gift for the wife.

DynDOLOD World Script not Working

This is the issue: [00:00:00.010] Found BirdsHFclean.esp. Do not load this mod when generating LOD. Restart and uncheck from Master/Plugin list. When I re-ran TES5LODGen last weekend I used these steps to generate the worlds. Run TES5Edit as you normally do. When you get the mods list, do this: Right click and Select AllUncheck BirdsHFClean.espUncheck Bashed Patch, 0.espIt should then generate the meshes/textures for all wolds. If it stops again for some reason, check the log output closely to see if another mod needs to be unchecked. I think these were the only two I needed to uncheck. -
How to keep the SKSE -Elys- AltF4 Log out of the overwrite section?

Open Overwrite and drag all the files and folders into the SKSE -Elys- AltF4 mod in the left pane. You can also right click Overwrite and select create mod to create a new mod named something like SKSE -Elys- AltF4 Log. -

If you want to include an image from Photobucket, click the Direct link and copy it to the clipboard. Then here in the editor, click Image and paste the direct link into the textbox. This embeds a thumbnail of your image into your post that users can click to see the full image. -
I suspect most of it is (or will be) used in store app and Internet advertising in a bid to increase ad rates and is shared with the NSA.

I just reinstalled STEP Extended using 2k versions of the textures where applicable for most of the mods in the Conflicting Graphics section and regenerating the LOD textures at high resolution. After doing this I am getting a peak of 473/135 in Memory Blocks Log with ExpandSystemMemoryX64 set to true or false, and I'm not experiencing any crashes (knock on simulated wood) yet. I initially started from inside the Inn at Windhelm, walked to Solitude and walked around inside Solitude, and then walked to Whiterun and walked around inside Whiterun. It's completely possible that perhaps I'm not coming close enough to the max allocation to replicate your findings, though. I'm going to bump up Vividian Vanilla ENB to max resolution to see what affect this has on the block allocations. [Memory] DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768 ScrapHeapSizeMB=256

Purple means Skyrim can't find the textures for these armors so make sure you installed the mods that provide the armor textures. This might be something like the High Resolution Texture Pack, AmidianBorn Content Adddon, AmidianBorn Book of Silence - Armors, or a mod that provides custom armors. That picture is really small so I can't make out which armor you're looking at. If you install Mfg Console, you can drop one the armors that's missing a texture on the ground, and then click on it to get the details. This will show you the FormId, the base FormId, and the name of the mod that's providing the information for that armor. EDIT: I mean open the console (~) and click on the item on the ground will show you the details if you have Mfg Console installed.

If you're referring to Mod Organizer warning you that the mods in the left pane are "out of order", you can ignore this message. Keep the mods in the left pane in the same order as in the guide. In Mod Organizer, click Settings (the Wrench/Screwdriver button), open the Plugins tab, and click Basic diagnosis plugin. Click check_conflict and change it to falseClick check_modorder and change it to falseIf you do the above, Mod Organizer won't check the install order. -
Is there any real benefit to ExpandSystemMemoryX64=true? I've experimented with it both ways using STEP Extended and STEP Extended+REGS profiles and I don't notice a difference in memory allocation either way. I know setting it to true moves the blocks to the top of RAM and theoretically helps reduce fragmentation, but I've often wondered if this is really the case.

If you installed Mod Organizer in C:\Program Files, C:\Program Files (x86), the Steam folder, or the Skyrim folder, uninstall it and install it in a directory you create (somewhere like C:\Games or C:\Tools) so you have full permission. You don't need to run Mod Organizer as an administrator or with administrative privileges. -
Are you using the Sort button in Mod Organizer or are you running Loot as an external application? If you are using Loot as an external application (which I recommend doing), update your master list and verify you don't have any extraneous metadata overriding the master list. Also make sure you are using the latest versions of Mod Organizer and Loot.

Looking at Skyrim Flora Overhaul, textures/plants/* comes from Hybrids HD Plants and Herbs Retexture and /textures/landscape/trees/treeaspenbarkcomp*.dds come from TreesHD_Skyrim_Variation. My version of DynDOLOD is a few weeks old, but I don't see DynDOLOD overwriting any of the tree textures. Ah... I didn't think to check the version of SFO. -

I think Mod Organizer makes it significantly easier to set up profiles for testing, so absolutely yes. I usually keep a Vanilla profile that contains just the vanilla mods and the unofficial patches, a STEP Extended profile, and a Test profile so I can switch profiles to go between the three. -

Have you tried re-downloading and re-installing Mod Organizer? Also, did you install Mod Organizer 1.3.8 from Nexus? It might be a big confusing because Mod Organizer 1.3.8 are the last two files in MAIN FILES section on Nexus. The first two are older versions for Windows XP. -
I think this depends on what else you plan to install other than Windows and games. The Windows folder on my computer currently takes about 60 GB and you'll need to accommodate room for your user profile folder (that Windows makes extremely frigging difficult to move). Even assuming you have nothing other than Windows on the C: drive, everything and it's second cousin insists on storing files in your user profile folder. Even so, you can probably get by with 120GB for Windows if you're diligent in installing games and applications on another drive. You'll want to keep a decent amount of free space available on SSDs as well so it can optimize writes (e.g. so it's not forced to write the same cells over and over). You might also consider moving the Temp folder to spinning rust to move some of the junk from the boot drive. You can do this fairly easily by creating a Temp folder on another drive and then changing the global Temp and Tmp environment variables (Control Panel / System / Advanced system settings / Environment Variables). It's amazing how much cruft is left behind in the Temp folder and very few applications delete their own temp files. You could move the search index (assuming you use it to index a lot of files) to the larger SSD to move some additional space off the boot drive, but I'm still coming back around to the notion that 120GB seems rather small for Windows. On the other hand, take this with a grain of salt because I'm a data pack rat. I have a 512GB SSD and two 3GB spinning rust drives (both about half full although the second one is mostly SQL Server databases) and keep full/incremental/differential backups and a ton of MSDN Subscription software on a 16TB Synology NAS.

I don't know if MSI Afterburner is causing this (although it's certainly possibly), but you can use the features in ENBoost to lock the frame rate without using MSI Afterburner. [LIMITER] WaitBusyRenderer=false EnableFPSLimit=true FPSLimit=59.9 The above is in the enblocal.ini file (in the Skyim directory).
