You can find random tidbits about the sound thingy on his forum. It comes up every now and again.

Plenty of times... the main issue is that he uses some rather exotic sound setup as well, which requires drivers etc. that are no longer supported either. So in turn he would have to go about and make an entirely new system live up to his apparently rather high requirements for stability etc. Give it time! He has said many times he hate AMD and now he wants to convert to it hehe. As for the new feature then yeah.. it is going to require some dedicated textures or it just aint going to be pretty. It is still new and as such it will take time for it to be even remotely useful. But some talented people already working on it, so lets hope it become a thing, since it does have potential.

Does having lots of in-game items in Skyrim cause instability?
Aiyen replied to MagnusThorek's question in General Skyrim LE Support
The more stuff you keep in one location the more memory that single area is going to require, since everything is loaded in full detail more or less... probably more since it is a closed of interior cell as I understand it. This means if you have LOADS of high quality textures that you can get swamped really quickly. When people say the can run with 2k-4k textures etc. then it is under normal playing conditions where half the game is not loaded at once. So yes it would be correct to say that having more and more and more items will cause instability since you use more memory up to the point where your hardware just cannot cope any longer. -
Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
Aiyen replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Okay since this is such a small thing I am just going to ask here rather then making a new thread. Just wondering if anyone else have this tiny issue. During the helgen intro... does anyone else have jarl ulfric not wearing a gag? And then afterwards when you go to the palace in windhelm he always have one on ? :) -
You can merge the ELE .esp into one.. at least that is what I have done. The CoT settings are technically covered in the installation guide :p But I am feeling nice n stuff. No interiors, default nights, and then the weather patch. remember the appropiate DLC items if you have them. Actually I do not really use the lanterns mod anymore.. so for the next version it might be off... guess I will have to look into that, and same for the torches. In general if you do not agree with the color choice it is really simple to just open the .esp in tes5edit and put in a new color. Hope that covers all! And thanks for trying out the preset! Edit: I actually forgot that I merged the ELE .esp myself.... oh well hassle of too much stuff!

Yeah I am a bit confused... If you can run with your loadout without using ENBoost.. then why use it ? The only reason to use ENBoost is so that you can run with more then just hialgo etc. Anyways... is it a persistent increase or just the initial load of a new area or the game itself ? My game takes about a minute to start up but after that it is more or less instant once everything have been moved into memory.
-
When you increase the amount of stuff that needs to be loaded.. ofc loading times will increase! If you already run with no problems other then that, then most likely your settings are fine as they currently are.

CTD and Performance patch ENBoost (by Boris Vorontsov)
Aiyen replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
You need the graphics portion of ENB enabled to use its AA options. So no you need it set to false. -
Should dawnguard.esm still be cleaned twice?
Aiyen replied to Satur9's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Good to know that this is normal behavior -
Getting random flashing graphical glitches
Aiyen replied to natranr's question in General Skyrim LE Support
That sort of issue is most likely related to driver version used, or some driver settings. Worst case then it is bad video memory which cause the GPU to be unable to handle the position of the polygons properly. -
The code snippet you put up on your site would do that JawZ. All you really want is just a basic default AGGC with only vanilla adaptation and bloom. This along with disabling/enabling effects in enbseries.ini would do the trick. Bloom is the only shader that requires something special in the enbeffect.fx, the rest are toggleable by the enbseries.ini. Like the DoF and lenz and sunsprite shaders etc.
-
Nice to see you found the time to do all of that JawZ! :) Seems like you have most of the generic stuff up, as well as some nice specials. Only thing I can think of is that you might want to use the word include instead of inject :P Since no injection takes place!

Can you save a profile to take to a diffrent computer?
Aiyen replied to jyujinkai's question in Mod Organizer Support
You can also just copy over your entire MO folder with mods and everything. The various profile info is stored in its own folders... so not much more to it then a copy paste, and then ofc. make sure the ini´s have the correct settings if he uses different hardware from you. You might have to just make whatever adjustments you made to his ini files and you should be golden. To make other tools work you will ofc. also have to reassign the various paths to the various file paths of those tools. -

Dragon 4k-8k Texture Mod Extracting error + Facelift Overhaul
Aiyen replied to Sencho's question in Mod Organizer Support
Try a manual extraction using whatever zip rar etc. program you use. See if it is a bad download.. it can happen that the archives get corrupted during transit. As for the other one.. you might have to extract and create the data path yourself if the mod does not come with a standard data path. Hope that helps! -
Paper objects such as Map of Dragon Burials
Aiyen replied to DanielCoffey's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Guess I should elaborate a bit. When you look at the original you can see all the parts that are meant to show something look more iregular and less clean. Perhaps due to the blur of the lower res, but it does add a bit to it. On yours at a higher res the lines are all sharper and much more defined, which imo does not add up when you make a chalk of a stone tablet.. there should be some iregularities etc. Hope that made sense hehe! :) -
Paper objects such as Map of Dragon Burials
Aiyen replied to DanielCoffey's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Looks good! I also think you are safe in the amount of details to installation etc. In fact if you had made a bsa for this with a dummy .esp I would have been forced to slap you with the mace of overkill! :P The only thing I can think of that might make it better would be if the chalk looked a bit more worn and dirty/gritty. Considering the increased resolution it should be possible to get some more intricate wear and tear details into it as well. -
Best wishes to everyone here! Hope you all stay safe and have a great time!

Overall I like the quality of the texture... the only issue is that the texture is not seamless which becomes noticeable on logs. I really hate that they made the mesh like that, but I can understand why to avoid stretching.. but still so few textures out there that does not have the problem. :(
-
Just when I was looking at the silver stuff and thought.. there had to be a retexture for that! The timing! :D

Glad that you like it. The preset is made on the assumption that you play on a calibrated monitor, otherwise the contrasts will be way of... mostly to the darker side. But it is easy enough to adjust to your liking. Good thing that you did not touch the brightness in settings. You should never touch that it will just cause issues. I implemented a better way to do it anyways. When you open the GUI then in the middle there is a shaders window. Open enbeffect.fx and find one called exposure scale and exposure threshold. Specifically the Night entry. Adjust those ever so slightly to make your game consistently brighter. As long as you do not overdo it then it should preserve the colors and not cause any artifacts. If you do happen to have issues please do let me know! :) As for the mods... then SFO is mostly the most massive of them all since it adds so many things to the game in the form of new flora and trees. When you have shadows on grass.. then grass becomes performance hungry really really fast. And trees are just rather detailed models hence adding more quickly adds up. It is a great mod, but not if you do not have the performance to run it. The other big one is SMIM if you took the full version. Depending on where you are then its improved meshes will also cost a bit, however most of the time it is worth it to just leave it. But you can check out the custom installer and select a few less performance intensive options here and there. Other then that then just reducing rendering distances will provide an overall increase in performance. Especially shadow draw distance. But it might start to look a bit too bad then. The trick is to play around with those settings until happy with the compromise. Happy gaming and merry christmas to you!

Only way to get more FPS is to lower quality of stuff or disable stuff sadly. Or playing resolution ofc. DoF disable will give about 1 fps LODbias = 0.5 1fps Using grass on steroids lets you lower grass density further for more fps, but ... tall grass. SFO does eat up quite a bit of performance on its own. If you do not feel like you need it 100% it would most likely provide you with the FPS increase you want. Also I am in the process of making the next version atm. So if you have any feedback on what you do not like I am all ears! :)

Your enblocal.ini have UseDefferedRendering=false. that means SSAO and reflection etc are disabled. Also yeah 1.0 is too much for lodbias.. do not go higher then 0.5
-
Hmm as for the grass...check your enblocal.ini and under ENGINE and make sure it is set as this ForceAnisotropicFiltering=trueMaxAnisotropy=16ForceLodBias=trueLodBias=0.0EnableVSync=trueAddDisplaySuperSamplingResolutions=falseVSyncSkipNumFrames=0 It is the only other thing ENB related that would affect texture quality. If it is not that then please do check out your SMAA settings. The way it does AA will cause ever so slight blurs. It should not be that bad however. You should always have vsync on in skyrim or things will go wonky. It is enabled by default, so unless you removed it in the ini´s it will be in effect.
-
Have you set bFloatPointRenderTarget=1 in skyrimprefs.ini If you use MO make sure it is set in the ini related to your profile. Without that on SSAO etc will be disabled. But it should also tell you with big red letters at startup that is the case. Only other thing other then if you have enabled some Anti Aliasing either in the game or in your driver. Which will also force the SSAO to become disabled. As for the grass (it is not that mod it is SFO) then that is kinda weird... have not seen that before. But I got a suspicion that it is related to the SSAO issue. Please verify that all the related .ini settings are as they should be. Glad that you like the fire hehe... that is where most of the effort goes after all! :)
