it feels more like a pause to me, but you can tweak the values to your liking so maybe with different values it "feels" better.

Infinite loading screen when fast travelling from Solstheim to Skyrim
torminater replied to DaBozz's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Well yeah, that dungeon is pretty big and MAYBE (nobody knows for sure) the z-fighting tweak causes the engine to load a lot more higher res LOD meshes which might cause infinite loading screens, but I can tell you, that I've only had it in this one single mine. I don't think it's worth the hassle to look a disco-flashing mountains 99,9999999999% of the time so that in 0,0000000001% you don't have an infinite loading screen. -
Walls in Helgen Keep acting up
torminater replied to LynziRaeighn's question in General Skyrim LE Support
... don't think that is necessary. It's a form of z-fighting but nothing the "z-fighting-tweak" can do about. I guess that either you are using a tweak or control panel setting that's not recommended or that you've got a tweaked skyrimprefs.ini already and some settings there are not vanilla which causes this issue. I have had the flickering walls issue near whiterun. I'm still not 100%ly sure what your problem is. It might be fixed by this mod here: Distant Decal Fix https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/31982 other than that... delete skyrimprefs.ini, skyrim.ini and rendererinfo.txt in your C:\User\Docs\My Games\Skyrim directory and launch the game via steam let it recreate those files, start a new game, see whether the same crap is happening again and report back. -
I think, that the bloody dragon bones are not lore-friendly/vanilla-style at all. A dragon is not a mortal creature. It is a "magic" one. When the soul is being absorbed from another dragon/-born it's existence gets completely annihilated. Actually not even the skeleton should remain - but there had to be some proof the player actually defeated a dragon ;-) https://uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Dragons

ACCEPTED Improved Horse Step Sounds (by Crystan)
torminater replied to Painstouch's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Well I continuously have the issue that whilst running through Skyrim or gallopping through skyrim I don't hear any sound. I'm just using step's sound mods. I guess this might be a vanilla/engine issue, nothing the mod can do about. -
Infinite loading screen when fast travelling from Solstheim to Skyrim
torminater replied to DaBozz's question in General Skyrim LE Support
There are all sorts of issues with cell changing in solstheim (e.g. Raven Rock Mine) Just try to do something else for a while like raiding a dungeon, go to sleep and try fast travelling again. -
ok, why is it, that after applying a ini tweak through WB my skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini if i open those files with the editor program the lines of those ini files aren't separated anymore, but if i copy and paste them somewhere the line separation is back?

The texture mods step uses are selected by how much they affect of the game and how much of a hassle it is to get those textures into the game that we want in the game. If a mod has one good texture and all the other ones are better in other mods that might just not be worth it downloading all of the 500 MB for example. If you use TPC it will do all the selecting for you which saves a lot of time compared to unpacking the mod file, deleting everything but that one texture and repackaging it and set it up in your install order so that texture really shows up.

Looks good. I dig it.

ACCEPTED Ultimate HD Fire Effects (by BuzzDee84)
torminater replied to JudgmentJay's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
It's now called: Ultimate HD Fire Effects. I would change the name to this, so people don't get confused! -
OK, I had posted in this thread, that I have tried out any possible combination to get normal AA working with nVidia Inspector, but it definitely doesn't work. I'm not going to reupload 10 images again unless you don't trust my judgement. The only ways to get AA in Skyrim are: 1. Skyrim Launcher MSAA 2. Skyrim Launcher FXAA 3. FXAA injector 4. ENB Edge AA 5. SMAA injector Transparency AA still works through nvidia inspector.

I can support this mod, too. Have so far encountered no problems. -
I'm getting turned around in the Wrye Bash guide
torminater replied to LynziRaeighn's question in Wrye Bash Support
well, I can say for sure that only mods with .esm or .esp files show up in the mod list. Argonian Decap Fix doesn't have an esp, only meshes, so the files are installed to your skyrim\Data\meshes directory. You cannot disable any loose files except .esp/.esm files through your so-called "load-order" which essentially is your "Mod-List" in Wrye Bash. What is the color of the square in front of Argonian Decap Fix in your Installers Tab? If it is green, everything works alright. If not, maybe you should look at your bash.ini whether you've setup your skyrim-paths correctly. -
I'm getting turned around in the Wrye Bash guide
torminater replied to LynziRaeighn's question in Wrye Bash Support
have you rightclicked on the package and selected "Install"? -
best? Well the best would be: Stick to what STEP and the nvidia Skyrim tweaking guide recommend. The tweaks in there are the only tweaks which are so far approved by reliable sources for more than just a single setup with a single user's perception. If you want the most extensive ini tweaks... well, google for 'em. if you have the time, check the various settings, do some benchmarks and see for yourself what works and what doesn't. And if you do so, you might as well share your findings with the rest of the community :-)

Maybe a mod with a bad skse plugin?

Looking To Upgrade GFX Card, Any Thoughts?
torminater replied to Jnipz's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I've got one. I upgraded from gtx 570 SLI. I'm happy ;-) -
I think WB always skips vanilla files. Since HiResPack03 is a new file it does not recognize it as "vanilla" and installs it.
-
I have. I can't say for sure, but I don't think extreme step (unless maybe at high display resolutions) hits this cap.

I read through all of the benchmarks and commentaries (german is my native language). This card in 3-way-sli is sick s***t. No way anybody who works for his/her money would buy this. Interestingly they stated that it was hard for their rig to even get the Titan to it's limit and they were using really badass hardware: Prozessor Intel Core i7-3960X 3,3 GHz übertaktet auf 4,2 GHz Mainboard ASUS P9X79 Deluxe RAM ADATA XPG Gaming Series Low Voltag 4x 2 GB PC3-12800U CL 9-9-9-24 Harddisk ADATA S510 SSD 60 GB Power Supply Seasonic Platinum Series 1000 Watt OS Windows 8 Pro 64 Bit Only at 5760x1080 they could get "normal" FPS with the Titan 3-way-SLI... really sick! xD At 5760x1080 resolution and 4x SGSSAA and 16xAF they had an average FPS of 69.1 in Skyrim. Lowest FPS was 28... Yeah I guess you could bring those cards to their knees with a heavy-duty-bigges-textures-highest-resolutions-maximum-aliasing-and-filtering-modded skyrim... but honestly? I think your other high-end hardware components couldn't even keep up with two Titan... The testers came to the conclusion that this graphic card is only an intermediate product until the next generation gets released... let's see what's going to come up there!8D

I found a bug with consistent older people and xce go to riverwood and look for "anise's cabin" kill her, take off her clothes and look at her feet. If they look like this, we must try to figure out how to solve this issue... Oups: I would love to post a screenshot, but unfortunately I seem to be unable to make uncorrupted screenshots with Gamebooster, ATTK and HiAlgoBoost running at the same time... What you should see here, is a pretty bad texture seem around the ankles of her...
-
I just found out for myself that neither overriding nor enhancing works with the anti-aliasing setting in nvidia inspector. These get simply ignored by the game engine. If imultisample=1 then nothing except an injector (post-processor like enb) can get anti-aliasing working.
