Don't really understand the question... -

you're a guardian angel for all those out there following step protecting them from the agonizing depths of real modding :D -
How can I enable the LAA flag for Wrye Bash when I'm using the standalone version since I am using Windows 7 64-bit? I'ld like to speed it up a little! ;-) EDIT: OK fellas I've got several recommendations for you to add to the guide: As a 64 bit user with 4GB RAM and more those tweaks may be applied to Wrye Bash to work enormously faster - Go to bash.ini and uncomment the "s7zExtraCompressionArguments" line and change it to: =-mx=7 -m0=lzma2:d=32m -ms=off -mmt=7 - Go to Mopy\bash\compiled and remove the LZMA.dll and 7zUnicode, and replace the 7z.exe and the 7z.dll with the 64-bit ones from the 64-bit 7zip installer that you can download from 7zip.org. <- Doesn't work so far, I'll try out some things and give feedback! <- Only works when using the 64-bit python version of wrye... trying to find out whether I can fix that! - Well, because the tweak above doesn't really work, I temporarily use LAA flags for all the 7zip exe files used by Wrye in the said folder. Everything seems to work a whole lot faster... - Download CFF explorer and open up Wrye Bash.exe. Click on file header and go to File: Wrye Bash.exe\Nt Headers\File Header and click on "Click here" Then tick the "App can handle >2GB adressset"

SKYRIMLE Weapons and Armor Degradation with MCM Menu Options
torminater replied to ath3nos's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Sounds awesome. Waiting for feedback from you! -
This would mean that we'ld need to think about compatibility patches if we were to include this in the base STEP install and the mod gets the alchemy skill tweaks added...
-
That would be a great idea to add to this forum:Anybody who posts an issue has to include in the OP: -> rig specs -> STEP version & extra mods -> screen resolution -> driver settings -> Skyrim settings (Medium/High/Ultra plus user tweaks that affect performance) -> general mod resolution options (always highest, mixture of 1k & 2k only 1k) -> installing method If this information isn't given -> no help can be expexted.
-
This is really interesting since I'm experiencing the exact same thing with my gaming rig. I cannot tell you what exactly the problem is, but would you mind posting your system specs here? I suspect that somehow textures get lost when moved from System RAM to VRAM and that causes the artifacts...

Now has a NMM installer. Need to get a wizard up and running for that one don't we? -
Thanks for the information! I'm sure Ethatron will fix this when his BSAopt is stable. Short question: I unpacked Skyrim - Textures.bsa, HighResPack01.bsa, HighResPack02.bsa, HighResPack03.bsa, Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn. I optimized them with DDSopt. I want to zip them into archives and install them with Wrye. I already unpacked UHRP and will let it overwrite the vanilla files. My question is: Do I now have to unpack all of the bsa including textures, so they can overwrite the Skyrim Vanilla Textures or is this step not needed???

The OP should be updated to accepted and it should be included in the mod list changes of 2.2.2! :-) (-> it got approved in the OP of the working thread for 2.2.2) -
Ehm sorry to tell ya fellas, but the link in the OP directs to Ultra Realistic Crossbow Shoot sounds ...

Hey Sparrow! Maybe you'll reconsider making a Lush version for the newest SFO? ;-) Just asking because you seem really active and awesome right now :D

OK, can someone/anyone tell me why I get an 0xc000007b Error when trying to launch any DDSopt x64 version above 0.7.3? All of the x32 versions and the 0.7.3 x64 version works perfectly OK... I remembered that it couldn't detect msvcp110.dll and after I downloaded all of that crap and put it in SYSWOW64 and System32 the 0xc000007b error happened all the time... Wooooooooooooooooooow, ok. So here is how I fixed the issue: installed vcredistx64 and vcredistx86 - nothing happened. Installed framenetwork from microsoft - nothing happened... Went to System32 and saw that I had msvcp110.dll and mscvp110_clr0400.dll... I renamed the latter to msvcp110.dll and voilà !!! there it is. up and running again! On Github is a new version of DDSopt: 8.5b Is it recommended to always use the newest version or not?

Discussion thread: Smaller Ice Spike and Ice Spear by Odin_ml Wiki Link I like this mod here a lot. Ice spikes always seemed a bit ... exaggerated for the little damage they (usually) do.

torminater WroteHey guys, there is a new mod called Skaal Kid Aeata Coat https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/31741/. I think it should be a no brainer, since this really freaks me out. All those bears of nords run around looking like eskimos and a little girl hangs around in the cold with a summer dress.

Still, your textures are really good! If STEP uses Skyrim HD textures which defer a lot from the vanilla style, this mod might even be worth a consideration in it's current form. Still, keep working on it! :)

AFAIK Distant Detail only enables LOD for things like buildings, big rocks etc. Best seen on the plains of Whiterun I guess, since you have a huge sight area. -
Does it still afflict performance then or will the grass be "disabled" from the game?

It'ld be funny if you get blown away together with the dragon bones because your leg is stuck in it's ribcage... ;-) -

torminater replied to rootsrat's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Well I can approve this mod to work as intended - glitches are imminent, but not too bad. Getting stuck under a dragon can suck though... :D It's tcl time!!! -
That's why I said: I didn't get any erroneous messages: "Can't pick lock" "Can't break lock" etc. The mod seemed absolutely inactive AND it broke the mini game lockpicking in this case. Apparently I must have done something wrong, since otherwise the mod couldn't work for anybody, n'est-ce pas?
