  1. I still have to figure out, how to get rid of those hud elements though...
  2. Currently a series of 4 mods: https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/users/5691694 Simple additions to Skyrim World Space, maybe not suitable for STEP but for players whose character is on a personal crusade against the Thalmor (like my 2-handed Orc warrior). I am currently testing them, so I can't guarantee for no issues with them, but from what I've read about the mods they are quite simple and shouldn't cause too many issues. CK masterminds may correct me ;-) What do you think?
  3. 1 GB VRAM is really not very much. Disable AA completely, AF can be kept at 8 though. Revert back to the standard settings for CCC and update to STEP 2.2.3. Try out the various described methods to improve performance in this thread: https://forum.step-project.com/showthread.php?tid=1873 And use DDSopt to reduce your textures to 1024² and all of your normals to 512² size (in our wiki there is a detailed description). Then disable the aero theme in windows for skyrim and run skyrim as administrator. Try out these https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/283 or these settings https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/19632 for your shadows or disable them completely.
  4. Well I like the general idea of adjusting radiant quests for the guilds/factions etc. since I've already completed all the different questlines of those and would like to get the "special" quests done as well without doing all the boring stuff a hundred times over. This mod might do more or less the same as ESF but it doesn't overhaul the faction itself, which makes it more suitable for STEP (trying to keep as close to vanilla as possible) than ESF.
  5. I think you should keep this mod neat and clean and small. No incompatibilities and patches needed then. If you further want to expand on your mod, you can think of adding more variety to the radiant quests. For example as a vampire you have to enter a dungeon and prevent that a dawnguard troop gets a certain powerful dawnguard artifact for it's battle against the vampires. This would need to enable the specific dawnguard weapons for vampire players and vice versa. Other than that... it's your mod, do as you please ;-)
  6. There are many threads about this on these forums (support and troubleshooting). Try out the search function.Long story short: Unless you have a full 1.8 backup it is not possible to revert to 1.8 from 1.9.
  7. You're using the old (1.8) version of Race Menu with the new (1.9) versions of SKSE and Skyrim. Update Race Menu and there shouldn't be any problems unless there is a upgrade incompatibility with the changes you did. Also ensure that you have the new RaceMenuplugin.esp activated.
  8. It's easier than you think. Use the full version and press all the buttons on the GUI, then you know what's what and what they are talking about on the descriptions page. Don't mess around with the real settings though for timeout etc. unless you really know what you're doing.
  9. If you click on the plugin in the mods tab, it will list its dependencies on the right side. Just be certain that it follows any of those dependencies in the load order and set up a new rule in BUM. then BOSS will use your rule each time. When BOSS gets updated to recognize the mod, you will be notified of the redundant rule from the BUM interface, and then you can delete your custom version. Is that already on the wiki? E.g. the FAQ or the troubleshooting guide?
  10. That's what I use, too.
  11. Where do we put the Traps make noise.esp in our load order since BOSS doesn't recognize it?
  12. Be sure you've installed Burn, Freeze and Shock Effects correctly. Also reinstall Deadly Spell impacts, and don't use the Two Fire.esp!
  13. I read that in new D3D games triple buffering doesn't work and needs to be injected with e.g. a utility called riva tuner. Google for further info if interested.
  14. I use game booster on my laptop and I never launch skyrim via it. I just activate gaming mode and then launch skyrim. I have therefore never had the same issues you have. I'ld suggest to just use it the way I do. If using ATTK remember to set gamebooster to "Set Exempt". Oh, and don't hope that the gameboost value (usually 40%) is going to be even close to that high in skyrim. I just think this is a nice addition to ATTK and I do need loads of performance for my laptop :-) Check out this thread for performance related tweaks (a little outdated, since Skyrim Flora Overhaul gets updated that often - and STEP nowadays as well xD) https://forum.step-project.com/showthread.php?tid=1873
  15. Disable dead body collision fix, More interactive items and if that doesn't help deactivate sound mods until the bug disappears, if that doesn't help, revert to a vanilla skyrim and see if that helps. If that doesn't help, be sure you don't use optimized bsa. If they are vanilla bsa then it is a vanilla issue (I've encountered this a couple of times myself) and cannot be fixed (collision plane issues i guess).
  16. I'ld go for 2 GTX 680 4 GB in SLI instead of a GTX 690 with 2x 2GB, since you have double the vram with the same GPU.
  17. Could you try testing with vanilla ini files?
  18. Maxing out VRAM you'll experience stuttering when swinging your camera around fast. or when running through a open world space.
  19. Dead body collision fix maybe? I've had a problem with a corpse in a cell getting stuck with it's head in the floor and doing breakdancing like a maniac ;-)
  20. Are you using SkyRe?
  21. And I thought that was something a other mod did i had installed xD
  22. Use Boss again?
  23. You can now select user-specified install paths for your games with steam. No need for Steam mover.
  24. wiki.step-project.com/STEP:2.2.2a This is STEP ;-) You'll need to download all the mods one by one unless you already have them and then use a mod manager to install them.
