  1. Use windows explorer and go into the archive with 7zip or whatever you use for zips.
  2. When MO v1.2.4 beta turns into a release version, this type of stuff will not be as big an issue unless you are installing PN - Extra Options again. Basically the external installer will work with everything accept PN - EO and uHUD. What that means is using MO's installer will prevent the overwrites that occur using FOMM and so you keep the mod isolation going correctly. A mod can just be installed and then moved into place, rerun uHUD and boom you're done. No reinstall of the UI section.
  3. I've had some problems with BOSS 2.3, but don't have any with 2.2.
  4. You could also just go into the archive and extract the file into the ...MOmodsFlashlightNVSEmenusprefab folder. Also, you can untick all the mods in the UI sections, all of them. Then reinstall FlashlightNVSE with FOMM. Move the files from Overwrite to the FlashtlightNVSE folder. You can double click the Overwrite folder then scroll up to the flashlight folder and drag and drop from the Overwrite pop up to the mod folder int he left pane. Then tick everything and run uHUD again. When you reinstall a mod with FOMM just hit Reactivate. Follow the same instructions of moving the files from Overwrite for uHUD that I gave for FlashlightNVSE. Oh retick all the UI mods before reinstalling uHUD.
  5. A few people have also mentioned that it should be installed after OneHUD and I just haven't bothered checking the page for directions on that because of the other million things I'm doing.
  6. I'd leave willow and flashlight packed. You can extract the other mods without issue.
  7. The character limit may still be over 255. You could count the total characters or just extract a couple more. I have vault 22 extracted. Don't extract Willow. after extracting the BSA just hide the BSA with MO it's very simple to do. Double click the mod, go to the filetree tab and right click->Hide on the BSA.
  8. Unpack a couple BSAs into there corresponding mod folders and then hide the BSAs. There is a 255 character limit on all the BSAs that can be loaded into the game. It is a bug that caused my to go grey then rip out out all the grey hair.
  9. Does the game make it to the start screen or does it just not load at all? It got updated both times actually, Will and myself are just using Steam to chat since it's easier than posting on the forums and we can troubleshoot while in game.
  10. I know that one of the Uncut series mods Outside Bets ands extra NPCs around a few spots. It's not so much save game bloat that is a problem like with Skyrim, it's the engine's limitation to have lots of NPCs especially outdoors. I'll be very careful about adding those type of mods. Plus, they take quite a bit of testing if they add spawns all over the map. I'm sure if you know of mods that consistently add savegame bloat you could report it to hlp and Queue on the NVAC thread on the nexus and NVSE thread on the Beth forums. They may be able to port the invalid registrations fix from SKSE to NVSE, like hlp did with the memory patch.
  11. That is correct. It's a huge problem that the companies that manage the ads they put on their clients sites are not really monitored in any way because that would cut into profits. It's all about the Benjamins.
  12. Thank you for using it. Also, thank Queue, the author of NVAC, hlp, the current NVSE dev, skyranger, the author of NVSR, and Yuki, the author YUP. Without their hard work, this guide wouldn't be possible because it would just crash constantly when using all these mods. I'll start adding directions for FNVEdit later today to help out the less informed. I forget that you guys are mere mortals sometimes. Thanks for promoting the guide, I do it sometimes on reddit, but I always feel weird linking it. I guess I should put it in my signature on forums.
  13. First three of the NV Uncut series are done. I like the first, Rotface to Riches, and the third, A Van Graff Scorned. The second, Koch and Bohr, is decent with the added Vault 22 stuff, so I'll leave it even though it's easy to see why it was left out in the first place. Rotface needs a patch for PN, since it tried to add this back in too. I'm going to add these in and release a patch for Rotface and PN in a little bit. On to the next three Uncut mods I guess, the revised intro will probably be optional since I've started FNV so many times, that I haven't watched it in a long time and I'm guessing many others have not either. The author also allows many of the uncut mods to be edited without permission, so I can make a merged plugin or just give instructions so users can learn it on their own, it's quite simple. I'm liking JIP CC&C so far. I had to start a new set of testing saves because my others are completely broken, so I'm only about level 5 and just got some companions. It works quite well and the instructions for it are pretty straight forward. I still need to have a bit more time with it before I add it to the guide. It is also a UI mod, so I'm always a bit careful about that section, since it gives me nightmares, and probably worse for other people. There is a page in development for installing mods to the UI section that require uHUD to an existing setup wihtout having to do the whole section over again. Using MO v1.2.4 I can actually do it in about four step, couple of minutes total, easy peasy. When the next MO moves from beta to a release version I believe that it will only require two mods to be installed with FOMM, PN - Extra Options and uHUD. This is a big deal to me because it make the whole UI section much easier to deal with. Both for my own sanity and everyone else's.
  14. Lots of goodies today. Wolf Among Us, Outlast, Borderlands 2, Metro Last Light, SLeeping Dogs, KIngdon of Amular, The Transformer games aren't bad either. If you like the telltale games I recommend Wolf Among Us. Metro Last Light Complete for <$7 is a really good deal too. Brderlands 2 complete for $10 is an insane amount of game, it had about 20 DLCs.
  15. Oh, and I hit 15K page views. Damn, I never had that kind expectation for this project. Thanks to everyone that helps out and gives feedback, it's what motivates me to keep on going.
  16. Yes, you can go right down the line. Also, WB has drag and drop as well, but you need to anneal mods if you reorder them. Very simple just right click-> Anneal All.
  17. I'm not against AWOP, but I don't think it would be added to thing guide. There is nothing stopping someone from writing a wiki page describing how that mod would be implemented into F&L, I would even link to it from the guide. This actually is something I've thought about a bit. I would like to almost have packs for this guide kinda the same way there are packs for STEP. The idea was that I would start with something like a page that just had weapons on it. You could pick those weapons and install them without issue, but if you don't want them, then just keep moving. Same could be done for armor/clothing as long as it fit with the Roberts and Type3 bodies any of them could be chosen or skipped. Also, other members could pretty much do the same thing. I have tried to get people to come up with their own MCM settings, but no one has come up with their own to share. Maybe if I open it up to guns or armor then someone will do it.
  18. Yes, they are intended to be installed in the order we give you. If you are using Mod Organizer then in the left pane just drag and drop the mods to the order we listed. Install order matters a little less with Mod Organizer since you can move the mods around.
  19. The smelter is amazing so get that. Get the cave cliffs too. The ones with the most snow. I think you should get anything that isn't listed in the guide page because it was all good.
  20. Is Arkam Origins any good for $7.50? I heard it wasn't really all that great after Arkam Asylum and City.
  21. You do it through the console. I don't know the INI tweak for it. In game type fov and then the number you want default is 65. You may have to do it every time the game is started.
  22. Go to enb site and the other binaries are there.
  23. Did you do both the undelete and disable references and the remove identical to masters on each mod?
  24. Yeah BOSS will tell if you need to clean stuff or if there are dirty edits and you shouldn't clean them.
