GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
EssArrBee replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
Good news, the author of Refill Water Bottles contacted me, so a patch for that and Project Nevada is coming soon. That means I can add it to the guide. It's a nice little addition to survival gameplay. Crank up that thirst rate with PN's MCM and you'll actually have to worry about going dry in the desert sun. -
GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback

I use the fertile version because the deserts of the Southwestern United States have a pretty high plant density. Radiation does not stop plant life from spreading. Actually it can have a weird effect making it grow faster because the radiation prevents any part of the plants from rotting. Plants have retaken Chernobyl, spooky stuff. -
I have trouble loading some sites correctly because I use AdGuard, Disconnect, and Do Not Track Me. I can't even get highlight videos to play on espn.com at all because it will not play before an add comes up.

Try rolling back a version or two of ENB. I have issues with the latest binary and rolling back fixed it. -
Extremely weird skyui problem with MCM menus not loading
EssArrBee replied to pacguy's question in Mod Organizer Support
Try installing SkyUI with the external installer. Go to the settings and disable the internal installer plugin, then install SkyUI, then reenable the internal installer. -

Install 1.5.4 if you can get it from the Nexus page. The updated file makes very minor changes and you will not be missing a whole lot until we get our FOMOD installer fixed. -
ACCEPTED Weapon and Armor Fixes (by kryptopyr)
EssArrBee replied to WilliamImm's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Oh, BOSS, now I see. You are one of those people. It takes an immense about of time and tedious work to evaluate a big list of mods with LOOT after using BOSS for so long and having all the conflicts based on that order. I did it for both Core and Extended a while back and went a little batty, plus my eyes hurt just thinking about opening TES5Edit ever again. I do not envy you the day you decide to switch. -

You should wait for the whole round of updates to WAF, CCF, and CCOR. There are a bunch of keyword changes going on as well and they whole thing will need to be evaluated as one. Probably best to forgo the update until kryp gets through this cycle. So with Immersive Armors you have to load WAF->IA->GDO? -

Detailed instructions?!?!?! I have no clue what you are referring to. Everything on that page is purely guess work of raving lunatic who drinks alone way to often and may or may not have been exposed to lose doses of radiation at military test site that was once a place that nuclear testing took place. If you follow my instructions then you are just as psychotic as me and your computer will explode when you least expect as part of my master plan for world domination. :pirate: -

Just send her home, she's good about waiting. Also, you can change out the PN buttons in the MCM menu. I think Bullet Time is 'C', so just change it out for something else. I never use Bullet Time, addicted to VATS, so I'd just move it to '/' or something like that. -

I don't see them as lore-friendly or unfriendly. Guns overheat and breakdown because of overuse, so the Overhaeting adds that in and guns have selective fire modes so it's nice to add them in, especially for WotNM guns that would actually have that type of selective fire. Maybe I'm a bit biased to that because I've used so many rifles. 'Merica, F*** YEAH!!! :hurr: I have considered JIP CC&C, but it is one of those mods that would require lots of time to test. I would also have to add it to the dreaded UI section... oooooohhhh, so that means I have to be resolute in my additions to that section. Luckily, I have come up with a way to update the UI section without having to reinstall the entire thing. I'm writing up a separate page with those instructions that I will link at the beginning of the UI section when I am done so people can then add their own UI mods that require Unified HUD to merge the HUD elements without having to worry if they are in the guide. Can or cannot? -

Are you using the English version of FNV? If not then try this thread: https://forum.step-project.com/topic/4597-how-to-use-fnv4gb-with-non-english-version-of-fnv/ -

I'll look at that fence fix, but I don't remember needed it. Same for the 16-9 screen. I use 1920x1080 and 1366x768 and neither has the that issue. I guess I'll make a note about using that file if there are problems with the main menu. -
Mod Organizer Install Location - Best Practice?
EssArrBee replied to Makkli's question in Mod Organizer Support
Either of the two options you listed are the best practice. Just make sure your Steam installation directory is not in Program Files or Program Files (x86). -
This thread will be for the upcoming INI section I would like the do. Currently I have three INI tweaks for the FNV INIs and one for the NVSE INI. There are a few others I've always considered, but just haven't tested, mostly because I've haven't had time, been to drunk, or just been outright lazy. Before I get into the current and upcoming INI tweaks, I'd like to post a comment from Queue, the author of NVAC, about the multithreaded tweaks that are complete garbage. This was posted as a reply to someone who listed their Configurator settings, but you can get the corresponding lines from the INIs very easy. The point being that many INI tweaks that you may find on the internet about multithreading and increasing performance are nonsense. Fortunately, Queue actually looked through the code and consulted with NVSE devs about the settings so we now have a true explanation of what these settings do. Consider giving him an endorsement, kudos, or donation for everything he doing for FNV. Mod Organizer Spotty Downloading, Won't Log In
EssArrBee replied to atlasatlarge's question in Mod Organizer Support
I've seen people not using MO say that there is weird issues going on with the file name being replaced with the file description. This happens with manual downloads too. I haven't any issues the last couple days and I've been downloading files like a mad man on Skyrim and FNV nexus. Maybe they just love me more than you guys. -

Hmm, this seems to be a MO 1.2.1 and earlier problem. Does using NMM version 0.50.3 work? That is the latest version. -

Don't forget REfill Water Bottles (KFE - Refill Water Bottles.esp). Waiting to here back from author about a PN patch. -
Steam Sale switches to today's stuff in about 30 minutes, so if something is over 50% discount, you should buy it now. :p EDIT: meant to say 90 minutes, stupid Pacific time.

Yes, for the love of god, install that patch. Every time I go into the Dino Bite, I murder Cliff because of those ugly holes in the roof. EDIT: So there is 7 unrecognized plugins by BOSS. I will do these in a bit for people that need them, sorry that I forgot about that part. -

Could you be more specific? I am testing LOOT which doesn't need that type of stuff and haven't looked at BOSS' user list yet. NVM, I know what you mean know. It has just been a while since I used BOSS. I'll get on that and add recommendations as soon as I get some coffee inside me. Don't know yet. Thank you bringing it to my attention. When I get to a computer instead a phone I'll let you know. -
Love JP, seen em a bunch of times. Anyways the gods demand more. Now Phil's other guitarist, Pepper, doing his own thing. If you get the chance to see COC and pass it up, then you aren't metal.

More people = more fun. Now there is a statement that history doesn't support. Gaming or otherwise. Multiplayer is fun, but it hits point of diminishing returns and adding another person doesn't increase the fun at all. Some of the best experiences of gaming with other people are done on the couch playing through a great single player story. And of course I remember arcades, they were fun not because of the being massively mutliplayer, but because they were 1v1, like Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter. (Oh man those were the days, the arcade was next to a walmart so I would go rip out the pages of magazines for all the moves then go kick everyones ass and eat pizza) I also remember the 100+ person matches I used to play of Unreal and Quake Arena on private servers. Yeah, I was in a clan, so what. The thing is that those matches weren't fun at all, I had much more fun doing the 8v8 or 4v4 matches in tiny maps playing CS or Pain Killer. Thanks for using it. Not really sure how I got near 15K page views this quickly, but I guess that only means I shouldn't have waited so long to actually do the damn thing... Well, I'm waiting for WilliamImm's support ticket to move all the BOSS masterlist changes he made to find their way to the LOOT masterlist. Then I can get the Bashed Patch to work correctly again and make changes accordingly. Wrinklyninja is aware of the changes that need to be made, but I guess they want to work out a couple bugs with LOOT first. Most of the other changes were re-adding bash tags that BOSS would add that LOOT doesn't, so you could run BOSS and keep that page open in your browser, then sort with LOOT, then open WB and add the back tags to mods manually before rebuilding your patch. I don't recommend this for regular users because it is tedious and time consuming. I did it because I have to test like a maniac for pleasure of everyone else. I just pretty much played through Afterschool Special. I like it, I like the house, I like the voice acting, I like the time you have to put in for it. I'm not saying that I'm going to skip out on Mr. Hancho's other mod, but Afterschool Special adds a house to the other side of the map. RIght now I have two added to Novac, both quite nice and now two added to Goodsprings, one is good the other is meh (GS Shack, which I might remove to save an esp slot). I keep finding more little parts of Right to Bear Arms as I play, which makes me wish I had added it earlier, but time is always fleeting. Not sure what to test next, so I'll just read back over the last 10 pages of this thread. Gotta do an INI section too before I forget... -

So I found out what my problem was with Tales and Vault 22. Apparently I hit replace instead of merge when installing the update file and that is bad. The good part is that Vault 22 isn't in conflict with anything and my problems were drinking while modding, yeah liver spotting!!! I guess I should also start an INI tweak section as well. That will require a new thread for discussion.
