GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
EssArrBee replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
Looks like it is the body mesh is not made for the gloves. This is a common problem for lots of body replacer mods. Every clothing item has to be converted, it's a big hassle but someone usually does it. There may some fix out there, but you need to dive way deep into the nexus files to find it. -

Add Delev to the right to bear arms and regen bashed patch. I think that is how I fixed it. Also, move right to bear arms down below anything that would add to freesude thug inventory. I'll check it out tomorrow. -

AA -> iMultiSample = 0,2,4,8 AF -> iMaxAnisotropy = 0,2,4,8,15 I believe, it might be 15 max, they didn't have 16 back then I guess. Both are in falloutprefs.ini. Look for the Fallout tweak guide for the values. -
GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback

I don't like merging ESPs into ESMs. ESPs sometimes need to load later. I would just merge all the extra Millenia weapons and really any single weapon mods into one plugin. Adding just one plugin is never a bad thing. What outfit is that so I can look at it? I haven't noticed anything like that with most stuff becasue I haven't worn any short sleeves in my current playthrough and I was doing a lady before this one. -
GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback

Finish my complete reinstall of everything. I changed a bunch of install instructions and added a couple merging instructions to mods that it is easy to do. Shouldn't be anything people should worry about it if they already have everything installed. Hopefully, it makes things just that much simpler for the new users. I might move the animations section to right before armor and weapons because Weapons Animations Replacers is required by WotNM. technically the mod works without the animations, but it just looks weird. Now that I have everything reinstalled, I can get back to testing the mods I was doing before I decided to upgrade all my computer's drives. I had Advanced REcon mods that aren't in the guide, New Steve Bison, some weapons, and a couple little mods here and there in testing. should be done with that pretty soon so I can move onto my power armor playthrough. A while back someone had a bunch of problems in the DLC areas with cell transitions and some keys missing in Dead Money. I finished Dead Money (which is my least favorite DLC) and it had no issues so I'm not sure what the problem was for that user. Maybe someone else could try out DLC and see if there problems. I'm going to get myself to the Big Empty for some better fun than the Sierra Madre. -

Go to FNV folder, move the d3d9.dll to desktop. If you get better performance without it then just don't use it. If you have borderless window, AA, AF, or anything else through enblocal.ini, then remember to open the Fallout INIs in MO and add AA, AF, and anything else like fullscreen. If performance is worse then you can replace the d3d9.dll. If it is better then delete any other file from the FNV folder that starts with 'enb'. -
You are at the BSA limit, keep track of any new mods you install. If they have a BSA, then extract it.

Drop ENBoost. Sometimes there are people that just have better performance with it that without it. -
Those HiAlgo guys are really smart. They even have a couple other technologies that the started working on. I believe they've turned their tech into an actual company and have worked with some gaming companies to to utilize the stuff they do in game engines. I read a cool interview with the main guy, he used to answer questions here a long time ago. Back when guys like Monty and friyland were running things.

Load AOS last like the guide says. It is the correct order for what we want with the latest version of AOS. The STEP Extended patch also needs the AOS to load last because the masters will be out of order if not.
-
I put the the forwards from ADS and AOS in the STEP Patches, so you'd get the parts we want from one mod and the parts we want from the other. The reason I put the rule to load AOS last is that if you don't use the STEP Patches then you will get improper consistency in weapon sounds that were added in AOS 2.0. Also, if you load ADS last you need a patch with 26 records, but with AOS last it only needs to be 3 records.

I didn't see anything on the nexus page. You may have to track down Vurt on your own and ask him. There is also no readme for the mod, so that isn't good either. -
GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
EssArrBee replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
As I'm reinstalling the guide from scratch I see that there are a number of mods that are a little bit out of order. I've correct most of them, WotNM is now before CaliberX so the CaliberX plugins can be cleaned without crashing FNVEdit or Lutana NVSE plguin is before CASM. The one problem I have now is that Weapon Animation Replacers is required for WotNM and not installed until the second to last section. I may need move the entire Animations section to after fixes. That might be the best place for it since it could be said it 'fixes' blood and gun animations. I may need to do a full reinstall every 3-4 months to find all the errors like this and make it as easy as possible for new users. Now that's I'm merging mods too, it's time to start adding in more weapons and armor. I can just merge the Millenia's, MTindle, and Maibatsu additional weapons. -
Yeah I guess I could just add, 'Your Done'. I thought it was pretty simple already, but I can see what people keep going.

No addons in section 2N: Patches work
EssArrBee replied to vzbljesk's question in General Skyrim LE Support
SInce the patches section is basically patches you need to install and/or generate after everything else in the guide, we decided to create that section specifically for those mods. You have to install the STEP Patch at the end and decide which patch to use based on what you decided to install from the STEP guide. We made the Bashed Patch it's own mod so we could have a separate wiki page to put the instructions. Dual sheath Redux needs to be installed later so the meshes don't get overridden by other mods from the Equipment section. Better shaped Weapons has to over write some stuff in DSR, so we had no choice but to move it. FNISs is last so people don't forget to generate the those files and get stuck with messed up animations. Also, the generate plugin from DSR needs to be behind the Bashed Patch, 0.esp in your load order (right pane) and it makes sense to install it after generating a bashed patch since it loads after. FNIS is best done after DSR, so we moved that as well. Those are reasons behind the creation of that section. It made the workflow of installing STEP much more streamlined. From 2.2.7 to 2.2.8 to 2.2.9 that was the major goal for us. We had made this huge guide with over a hundred mods and did not realize how convoluted it could get installing the whole thing, so we decided to move a bunch of stuff around to fix that problem. -
I tried really hard to make that questionaire as easy as possible. I thought people would just stop when they got to the patch they were told to use.

One thing you can do is just put the newly optimized textures in place of the old ones of MO's left pane. You could delete the originals as well since you have a copy in your downloads folder. No reason to to have two copies unpacked from archive. Only keep what you need to save some disk space. -

Good looking out, homie. I don't know what mod this gun is from, but it will be mine. https://static-1.nexusmods.com/15/mods/130/images/42756-1-1310286925.jpg Advanced Recon Thermal Nightvision and Stealth Gear and Riot Helmets are all going to get added in my next major update. I have updating a lot of my drives and wiping the old ones for a few days, so I want install everything from scratch with a bunch of new mods. I'm planning on adding gear and quests. I might also drop PN Rebalance and do IMCNNV with Ambient Temp. IDK yet, but I want to do a really hardcore needs with power armor playthrough. -

Okay, the 8192x8192 is just running the vanilla textures through to correct mip levels and formats. They aren't high enough resolution to affect performance and do not need resizing. Mods on the other hand, are much higher resolution. Typical landscape textures are 512x512 while many of the NMC Medium and Poco Bueno landscape textures are 2048x2048. That is 8x the VRAM, which means you need 8x the GPU thread blocks to process the same textures. By reducing them to to 1024x1024 your 1GB card gets a nice break by reducing the size of those 2k textures by 4x. The fidelity of 1k textures is still very good, but performance will tend to go up by as much as 10 FPS in some problem areas like Freeside and the Strip. The main wasteland areas should also get a nice boost. It can be the difference between lots of stutter and a little hiccup here and there. -

If the left pane looks that way then it is correct. The Bashed Patch comes for starting Wrye Bash with MO and running the bashed patcher, and when you close MO, the Bashed Patch, 0.esp may be in your Overwrite folder. FNIS does not create a plugin, it generates havok files I believe. If the plugins are missing from the right pane then make sure they are ticked in the left pane. Oh and Better Shaped Weapons doesn't have a plugin, it's just meshes. -
Well, Sharlikran is testing a version with all the Record types opened up. The version released in that thread has these: 'AACT', 'ACHR', 'ACTI', 'ADDN', 'ALCH', 'AMMO', 'ANIO', 'APPA', 'ARMA', 'ARMO', 'ARTO', 'ASPC', 'ASTP', 'BOOK', 'BPTD', 'CAMS', 'CELL', 'CLAS', 'CLFM', 'CLMT', 'COBJ', 'COLL', 'CONT', 'CPTH', 'CSTY', 'DEBR', 'DIAL', 'DLBR', 'DLVW', 'DOBJ', 'DOOR', 'DUAL', 'ECZN', 'EFSH', 'ENCH', 'EQUP', 'EXPL', 'EYES', 'FACT', 'FLOR', 'FLST', 'FSTP', 'FSTS', 'FURN', 'GLOB', 'GMST', 'GRAS', 'HAZD', 'HDPT', 'IDLE', 'IDLM', 'IMAD', 'IMGS', 'INFO', 'INGR', 'IPCT', 'IPDS', 'KEYM', 'KYWD', 'LCRT', 'LGTM', 'LIGH', 'LSCR', 'LTEX', 'LVLI', 'LVLN', 'LVSP', 'MATO', 'MATT', 'MESG', 'MGEF', 'MISC', 'MOVT', 'MSTT', 'MUSC', 'MUST', 'NPC_', 'OTFT', 'PROJ', 'RELA', 'REVB', 'RFCT', 'SCRL', 'SHOU', 'SLGM', 'SMBN', 'SMEN', 'SMQN', 'SNCT', 'SNDR', 'SOPM', 'SOUN', 'SPEL', 'SPGD', 'STAT', 'TACT', 'TREE', 'TXST', 'VTYP', 'WATR', 'WEAP', 'WOOP', 'WRLD', 'WTHR', Looks pretty exiting to me. I wouldn't mind dropping an entire app for a script, but can Mator Smash merge plugins? And does it work for other games? Pretty soon WB will work for TES4, TES5, FO3, and FNV. That will actually make me happy. No more STEP Patches I guess. No need for them, since everything will be mergable. I can just do the other mergable thing I've been ignoring for a while.

No more bash tags and bashed patch
EssArrBee replied to Acheos's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
That's really weird. I haven't had a lot of problems with LOOT except for some weird stuff going on with cleaning info for the alpha version. I may have to look into this and see what's going on. I've been so focused on gettin gthe LOOT master list updated that I forgot to look into the actual list working at all.- 11 replies

SKYRIMLE Living Takes Time (by Akezhar)
EssArrBee replied to AddictedxGamer's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
This is a good idea. I just added a similar mod to my Fallout new Vegas playthrough that does something like this. It really helps, especially with hardcore needs type mods so you still get hungry and thirsty when you spend half an hour crafting iron daggers. -
Try putting the tes5edit folder in the root skyrim folder and see if the scripts are visible.
