  1. I was always slightly annoyed by this as well, and depending on your difficulty level or what-have-you, another ring might not be too over powered. I just pulled this out of thin air, so don't theory-craft me to death, but one interesting way of dealing with multiple rings would be to diminish each one's effect depending on how many you equipped. Â Say you had a ring that added 100 health (for simplicity's sake), each new ring you added on would knock off a percentage of the current value, not a linear subtraction off the base value. Â In this example using 15%, adding a second ring would bring the health boost down to 85, a third makes it 72.3, a fourth: 61.4, a fifth: 52.2... and a tenth bring it down to 23.2. Â To make 10 identical rings "break even" you'd have to bump it up to ~22%. Â So the formula would look something like: Final value = Initial value * [ (1 - Decimal percentage) ^ (Number of rings - 1) ]
  2. Nexus Link I really hate having to open the false coffin every time I go in or out of the Cistern, especially when you're doing the side quests.  Unfortunately for STEP this mod adds... (SMALL SPOILER) about a dozen flawless gems and a few handfuls of gold to the bottom of the sewer pool... and thus it may be ineligible, but either way the idea is very useful.  One of those really simple fixes that just makes the game so much less tedious. Also, does anyone know how to make the CK windows "stick"?  Every time I open it all the windows are pushed to the top against the main frame and cover the toolbar, really annoying.
  3. I haven't added any new mods, but it appears to be happening more and more.  I'm running STEP with ACE, Follower Trap Safety, UFO, Move it Dammit (UFO version), Alternate Start, and a few other texture replacers that shouldn't matter.  It might be from selective memory but it seems to coincide with gaining a skill point.  Here's the last two minutes of my last two logs.
  4. Done, done, and done; got most of the basics covered and it's just been reformatted so there's almost nothing on there. Â Thanks for the appropriate link, will check it out.
  5. Always remember to take drivers into account, AMD's have been working alright as of late, but there's nothing special and no where near the number of options in Nvidia cards.
  6. I'm running Win7 and of course it's all updated and stuff. I'll add anti-virus to the list of tests.
  7. v1.5a is out and it "fixes flow seams in 1.5".
  8. Lol, just refresh before you start the post, I open one for every new post as well.
  9. TC does intent TPC to be a major part of the next release, and that's something we're going over at the moment. Â As I pointed out above, I wouldn't use the new SMIM (v1.24) in TPC; SMIM's author changed the folder layout so you might not get everything you're supposed to. Using MO I've inserted TPC into the lineup without any problems. Â If you're using it (or Wrye Bash) just make sure all the mods included (and anything they're supposed to overwrite) are placed before TPC, that way TPC's choices take precedence but any mods that overwrite the TPC mods still will.
  10. SMIM's up to v1.24, looks like a modified folder structure as well.
  11. One thing I'd love to see is a little check for each of the folders in the intro of the bat (alongside the Combined folder's placement) so people know which mods are installed and installed properly before they start the combining process. All it'd have to do is check each mod folder for one file that you know will be there and then display "Skyrim HD - OK" or "Skyrim HD - MISSING"; something like that. EDIT: Why isn't SMIM's ESP included in the copying? Â
  12. Awesome, we haven't heard from Tannin in a while but if you guys are in cahoots only great things can happen.
  13. Glad to have another mod author in the forums! Â If you'd like, shoot me a PM on Nexus for confirmation and I'll bump you up to the Mod Author rank. Â I've been using MO up to this point, but I'll definitely be giving this program a shot, it looks like it'll be really helpful.
  14. The technological innovations are outsourced to the military.
  15. Lol, fixed the thread title :hurr: Unfortunately the choice between XP and 7 was already made for me and I've disabled as much background crap as I can.  I'll have to look into Game Booster as well.
  16. Gotten that one a few times today, if it loads at all. Â Dark0ne posted on the Beth forums a couple days ago saying he knows about the problems but that he's on vacation in Greece. Â Bummer.
  17. I believe that's what he's saying. Â If I remember correctly he started with a Riverwood ESP and then did the rest (not including Riverwood) in another ESP, so you needed both. Â Now there's finally a combined ESP, so you either need to use ChimneysforRiverwood and ChimneysforSkyrim or ChimneysforSkyrimRW by itself.
  18. I'm in the same boat, I don't think I've actually played the game for a few weeks. Of course knowing Dawnguard's impact is important, but it's not the primary concern with the next release. Â If there are small problems with a mod then we can maybe fix those, but remember that a lot of the problems stem from individual mods and there's not much we can do about those.
  19. It crashes Chrome when I run it through MO :(
  20. We should totally do it for holidays and stuff; we can put a Santa Hat on the "T".
