  1. If this makes any major difference that's quite an oversight on the SKSE team's part. Looks like I'll have to break out the performance monitors again and see if I notice anything.
  2. This is exactly right, and however awesome the mod is, it probably won't make it into STEP for some time, except for the "Mods not Included" list.  The entire process is brand new and remarkable as it is that it's usable for most people, a lot more research and testing needs to be done to ensure it's stable through updates of itself as well as other mods.  Also, it requires quite a bit of maintenance to keep up-to-date with your loadout, but hopefully SUM can fix that down the road.
  3. I'm using UKSP v1.05c and the latest versions of every mod I have and everything's running swimmingly. I haven't had a CTD or any major bugs in quite a while *knock on wood*
  4. Awesome to see it finally on the Nexus, I've been using it for a while now with most of the texture packs I could find for it. This will be very useful in the future if we want more skins as well, it seems fairly easy to build your own packs.
  5. It recognized the CK as v1.6 even though I had it uninstalled o.0 With the CK it took ~45 seconds to enable/disable and without it about 20 seconds for both as well. And of course, Bethesda hasn't skipped a beat. 1.7 has been released, and in my testing last night, I had accidentally left my automatic updates on enabled and got it. :facepalm:Lol! Â I let myself get it, but I have a 1.6 backup if you'd like.I'm good, I just recovered from a restore point. I forgot to also inquire about what you are using for storage? I'm assuming HDD, but am curious at what rotation speed, and RAID if any. I think it's Samsung, but it's a run of the mill 7200 RPM 1TB drive.
  6. Moved the thread to the Suggestions forum, it's on the list ;)

  9. Cool, I'll definitely be updating. The beta's been running very well recently, even while adding on new mods.
  10. I wouldn't count on the former but have fun!
  11. That one is really good too, I have all of STEP at the moment, so off there are any other requests let me know. I'm not sure if it's technically legal but since the author is unreachable I don't feel that bad about it as long as we include the original contents of the archive and it's not broadcasted publicly.
  12. Took about 30 seconds but it works, and it recognized both versions correctly in x64. Â I'm interested in learning some more VB.NET, any chance you could post the source code somewhere so I can take a look?
  13. I've uploaded Civilizations v1.0 (with the crash fix) to my public Dropbox here.
  14. If it helps, there's a guide on our wiki to get a completely vanilla installation without re-downloading the game: Link
  15. Including several I found from this guide, I have almost 20 new mods to compare against STEP. Â I'll get cracking on them sometime this week and I'll update a wiki page as I go. I usually stray away from very minor fixes and details as well as it almost seems like a waste to go through and install the mod for something that'll you'll almost never notice, but it's at least worth mentioning it most of the time. Â I've never hit the ESP limit, even in Oblivion, fingers' crossed. Â I'm up to 140/255 at the moment, but fortunately as more advanced mod managing tools come out we can combine a lot of them. Â There's also several such as Sounds of Skyrim, ACE, and EFF where we can ask the mod author for a "complete pack".
  16. I'll do more "technical" testing over the next week (along with a couple dozen other texture mods that may be STEP-worthy), but I butchered Riften with both and I still like the overall effect of EBT, can't put my finger on why just yet though.
  17. It has some pretty good suggestions, I picked out 34 that aren't in STEP or formally suggested (that I can recall), I'll be testing them and making a few more threads for sure.
  18. Hmm, are you sure you're not registered for Beta updates for Skyrim? To make sure you're still on v1.6, right click TESV.exe -> Properties -> Details -> Product version. If it says 1.7.7.0 then you need to either install the v1.7 compatible SKSE (I've seen virtually no problems with 1.7 so far, it's fairly stable), or revert the game to v1.6 and lock it there. To unsubscribe from the beta in Steam go to Steam -> Settings -> Beta Participation -> Change -> and select "NONE - Opt out of all beta programs". The game should then revert to v1.6 (check TESV.exe's properties). Next download stoppingby4now's Skyrim Unplugged app and follow it's directions to block Steam from forcing updates.
  19. Those ones are pretty funny, do they work side-by-side or is Uncle Sheo's only a replacer? Chesko's says that it adds the new messages, so is it possible to get Vanilla + Uncle Sheo's + Chesko's?
  20. Grr... getting too off-topic >.>
