  1. Sure thing, although the best way to learn is to practice :PÂ Go ahead and post the text, I'll wikify it with comments and hopefully you can continue to modify it from there.
  2. That'd be great to have. I don't know how the non-Editors want to help draft it, but once you have a basic premise down, go ahead and add a tab for it on the Troubleshooting article (use a Level 1 header to designate a new tab).
  3. Well said, and that's what we're hoping to form with the STEP community.  It's amazing how many dedicated people are willing to contribute thoughtfully and discuss matters civilly given the right environment, and that's what will push STEP to be the best it can be.
  4. And that's why I only ever post in the STEP thread unless I have questions/problems with a mod, and even then I always make sure to be extra nice.
  5. I did this too, but out of laziness I just did the rainbow with slightly darker or tinted versions for Filled. Unfortunately I haven't looked at all of the options in-depth so I can't offer any real advice, but I'd definitely like to see some variation between the sizes.
  6. Fri (one of the other admins) is heading up a project called STEP Thunderbolt that will eventually be able to manage this for you. Â There should be a thread somewhere around here for it (might be under the old name: AHC). Â If you're interested in helping with automation, get in contact with him, I'm sure he'd love the help.
  7. I concur, those mods were some of the better re-textures from the early days, I'm really glad they've been updated again.
  8. I'm not really surprised, just a little disappointed.
  9. Is Hearthfire Skyrim's Next Zombie-Filled DLC?  Discuss.  Personally I think it's a bit cliche for modern DLC, and given how much undead related content there is in the game and Dawnguard, they'd have to do something really special to make it stand out.  Assuming this manifests itself, what ever happened to "they'll be more like expansion packs"?  I haven't played Dawnguard yet but from videos and UESP it seems to have fallen perfectly into the category of DLC, not an expansion.  Also assuming this is true, I don't appreciate Bethesda tossing out $20 DLCs every two months, especially when they're not extraordinarily unique.
  10. I have ~13GB of free space at the moment so if you're running low I can mirror them instead. Depending on 83Willow's set permissions we could possibly upload the file to MediaFire just for STEP. The only reason I wouldn't suggest Dropbox is because they have a 10GB bandwidth limit for any file in your Public folder, and that can run out pretty quickly with our situation. Another option is hosting it at our host, but you'd have to ask Stopping about that and even then if we chew up all the bandwidth the entire site goes down :(
  11. When I get home from work tonight I can, unless someone beats me to it. She needs to use TES Alliance our Dark Creations while she's banned.
  12. Textures are the designs and colors the objects in the world take on, while lighting mods (post-processing, ENB, RCRN, etc.) are more like the lens you view that world through. Sometimes different lighting effects can make certain areas or textures look different, but in general they're two separate processes to deal with. Unless you're hand-picking individual textures I'd suggest you develop your mod list without any lighting mods to get a feel for "default" and then decide on your post-processor.
  13. Look out! It's a zombie thread! :P
  14. I wish all the images weren't odd-angled "action shots" so we could actually compare them.
  15. I always wondered why this wasn't part of the game... kinda stupid that a mod was needed if you as me.
  16. When I heard Dawnguard was Werewolves vs. Vampires I figured they were doing something with the Companions, or at least using it as a jumping off point. Â I'm a little disappointed in Skyrim's focus on the Radiant quests; sure they're fun and it adds extra incentive to go dungeon-diving, but one of the major draws of the game (at least for me) are the numerous fleshed out side quests and all the encounters with some actual story behind it. Â They add a ton of life to the game and it makes it seem like stuff's actually going on outside of the PC's cell, at least until you arrive to save/ruin the day. Â
  17. We're talking with Cestral and assuming he gives us permission to carry on his work then we're going to "evolve" the TPC into the STEP Combiner to handle most (if not all) of the conflicting mods section. Â Before that happens though, we're trying to get a new version out the door ASAP with minor changes to the mod list with the addition of the current TPC (with fixes for the latest versions).
  18. Leather Armor is now out. Â One word: WOW!
  19. Screenshots are impressive and comparing all the textures to the Vanilla/XCE textures it's quite an improvement (whatever that means by looking at the Texas Chainsaw face mask DDS files). Definitely going to give this one a go later.
