  1. heres what I told grant I can help with some WyreBash Installer stuff but its mostly straight forward. I also want to say this again, back up your Data folder and install it as a mod and if you clean any esp, copy that esp and place it in a project after the original mod. If you want to edit inis in a mod, unpack it and edit the inis in the installer. Doing it that way seems to work pretty well. Im constantly installing and uninstalling stuff for the guide and it works pretty good.
  2. BCFs also dont work anymore. I tried making some but it just errors out.
  3. For the crashing, I think I know why. Install memory blocks log and then after the crash happens share the last line.
  4. I don't know his reason but when I was taking a second look at using mo in the guide, there are so many work arounds that defeat the purpose of mo. I couldn't actually get obse and the vfs to work at all. If you are starting out, use wb because if you backup the data folder and install it as the first mod, wb works pretty well.
  5. Mo not recognizing the zip file is probably because its a strange format. I had no troubles with 7z on ultra.
  6. Your issue is probably something with enb, config files or your hardware. I've never seen something like your situation so I can't really guide you.

  9. I added it, I dont see LODs being an issue. If there is an issue then I'll have to work around it.
  10. drag into wrye bash... Wrye can handle .omod archives, just not the omod conversions.
  11. I updated the instructions for QTP3, this removes the parallax meshes because they look unsightly with all the creep. There is one mesh in the UOP + QTP3 patch but its so minimal that I think im going to ignore it for awhile. AneerHM, Add detailed terrain just after GIP and tell me what you think? I like it but Im worried about compatibility overwrites from other mods. Although, there isnt very many that is going to affect the landscape.
  12. I think smaa is either very heavy or there is something else going on with OR. What is your framerate like?
  13. I really like it but it look really weird, I think that is because I am using different textures. I guess texture artists will have to patch it to fit their grass. I think I'll keep it around for awhile
  14. I really like the road changes. What is compatibility with other textures that have a different style like? If its going to be some time before release, is it possible to upload a test archive so people can see it ingame? EDIT: sparrow beat me to it
  15. this isnt attached to STEP recommendations. This is for SFO 2.0+ and TreesHD If you are using that combo, I recommend that you hide the meshes from TreesHD
  16. OR has various bug fixes. I think I can make a preset that will disable its extra flashy features. Im going to try and drift away from BOSS. So Im going to lose track of rules until I find that LOOT will just not work. So far it seems to do okay. I dont think the placement really matters because it probably just flags the tower as VWD but I'll look later. I uploaded a set of inis but I'll probably update it from time to time. It shouldnt contain any assets so its fine to upload. I'll take a look at motion blur. MB isnt for everyone, made me feel funny but then again I have 60fps ingame so theres no need for it. The only issue with having inis is that people with lesser gpus may struggle. My 970 maxed out in a few areas. Im also taking a second look at Detailed Terrain. I think I am going to stick with QTP3 but I'll definitely have to hide some meshes because the parallax looks terrible, like fort ruins.

  18. I'm currently reexamining textures. I talked to manga and its seems that I can talk him into making a preset for OR because let's be honest, the default look is worse then the vanilla game but with added effects. When I get to raevwd, I will rake another look. EDIT: lol, rake... Im going to leave that misspelling because its funny.
  19. Its gone. :P Dude, there no really good textures for Oblivion. Also Im going to see if I can convince manga to make a preset for Oblivion reloaded.
  20. Well, what I said was kind of my beliefs. I cant remember the situation but I remember doing something and I had a hard time trying to figure it out and I remember the answer being uninstall all the mods then reinstall it. Im still not even close to being finished. I am going to remove several mods and Im going to add some different ones. Im also going to look at patching some of the scripts. for the sound mods. I dont really trust the guide in it current state because I am moving stuff around and what not. Feel free to use the guide on the parts that I have updated :P I did want to make a UI preset for Oblivion but I just never got to it.

  22. Wiki markup is fairly easy other than those drop downs, they get weird. Now the SMW stuff that I was getting into was a different beast. *Assists AmerHM off his high horse* Because I kinda like them and Im the one writing the guide so :P If you dont like them, then dont use it. Although, I can see how one doesnt like the placement but that is about it. EDIT: finished the darnified part. The crash was part of hud status bars optionals, commented it out for the time being.
  23. I have no idea what you are talking about and as for the final line, I figure people would understand by now :P fine... but I am trying to figure out why HUD status bars is crashing. I would definitely use TES5LODGen. It basically places all the objects that vanilla left out for performance or ones that were added by various mods. Like the IC, I mean what were they thinking. tes4ll generates the distant mesh, texture and some other stuff. So if you use UL, the terrain LOD may be a mountain in game but then actually be a small hill once you get close.
  24. Honestly, the way I started making this guide is "I dont know ho to mod Oblivion and there isnt a good guide for it. I think I'll give it a shot" After a week or so I had a guide. :P If I have the same issues then it means I screwed up in the guide which may take time to get sorted because I am rewriting this as I go. Okay, I think I have the manual install instructions for Dark UI done. What do you think? I could use HTML to change the numbering but html takes a bit more work to get it to behave.
