I'll probably use it to replace ENB underwater and add ENB water ENB underwater has always been way too transparent for my liking

I have the maxnomic and it had a few issues that it really shouldn't. The support was good but there are various problems that they need to adress

What if instead of releasing a brand new mod with a new mod page under one's name, a user was allowed to create spin offs of a mod which will inherit any permissions from the parent outside of the spin off. This would allow users to update mods, the author can keep his modpage in tact and have traffic directed through his page and not be responsible for any spin off. I think this would work.

At some point the work done will go to waste because it is no longer safe to use. There are people that do want to see a mod to continue to thrive. Thats why I take care of Realistic Boat Bobbing. I was asked by ganda to update it and maintain it. I updated it by removing the USKP requirement to move to USLEEP I then removed WT because people no longer have access to it but it is still there for people that do. I dont think this sort of thing is against any authors wishes even if he didnt ask.

Why can't we all make mods for fun and share them without making this so serious. :D

For abandoned mods I like how people like insanity do things and that is what I mean by abandoned

I wish that the Nexus was fine with updating abandoned mods. There was a few mods that I want to take care of but perms were closed. The files were really simple and not something that one should be able to cr.

After looking at the pics one more time it actually looks like the objects are not loading at all and the LOD remains. The grass only spawns around the camera. I remember getting this when I had safety load. Another explanation is DDL needs some refreshing by going into an interior then to an exterior.

DROPPED No Menu and Loading Smoke (by IceKK)
hishutup replied to stoppingby4now's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I don't see why it would but I use it because I have an ENB that screws with it and makes the smoke look horrific. -
SKYRIMLE Unofficial Skyrim Modder's Patch by The Community
hishutup replied to xxx78's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Probably not something for STEP until it ages a little bit. I put just about every fix I can think of and if it includes them then it'll lighten the LO a little bit. Lately, I get overwhelmed really easy, so the fewer the better. -
Depending on what it is, you could null the entry

With every new version of consoles companies feel the need to release a "new" remastered title because the old game can't run on the newer consoles. Most remasters are pathetic, the only good one I can think of is the ratchet and crank remaster which was pretty much a new game... based on a movie, of a game. Hopefully if they do rerelease it, they'll incorporate some of their own fixes to issues discovered by us beta beta testers.

Rock textures morphing
hishutup replied to NordPride_WorldWide's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
Its because you have parallax enabled on ridiculously stretched textures. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/74324/? Grab the shd rocks optional and test with the parallax version installed -
I've gone back and forth a few times on this, originally I was for loose but at the time it was definitely slower(with NVMe SDD that is no longer an issue) so I stopped unpacking and I used it as is. I have recently adopted something a little different. I now disable the MO archive feature as it makes things a little more complicated then it should. I unpack mods that DEFINITELY don't need to be a .bsa, like no stretching. For the users not uninstalling it properly, I think thats either the mod manager not handing the files correctly or the user is manually handling them which falls on them. MO doesn't have a problem with cleaning up after old files. I leave it up to the author and expect the author to weight things and make a decision. If the bsa doesnt require any plugin, make it loose. If the bsa has files that should override other loose files, make it loose or have a partial loose and packed structure. Another example that should be just a loose file is Dragon Stalking Fix, his script should override everything.

Weird, non (not yet) game breaking bug
hishutup replied to RufusLoacker's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Thats normal as you have toggled tcl which makes the NPC stay still but the animation plays like normal. -
Common CTDs, Freezes, ILS and memory issues
hishutup replied to hishutup's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Since I've been using the new C mollac method and its slightly faster and doesnt require any guessing, I have changed the recommendation. As for the other tweaks that Crash Fixes settings, do what you think is best. -
You should be able to use most 2k textures fine with some selective 4k ones.

Game play only alternative to this?
hishutup replied to jldkrocks's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
I found that when the VRAM fills above 4GB it can cause some pretty wicked framedrop, testing in win 7 showed that its an issue with 10 Also with one of the releases of the graphic driver, the 980ti may get stuck in a lower power level, meaning the card wont go to base/boost clock. I occasionally have this issue now. -
High Res Texture Pack; Good or Bad?
hishutup replied to Pickysaurus's question in General Skyrim LE Support
One can argue that optimized is actually worse as it uses a higher compression. Some believe that it makes a difference in the performance which I highly doubt. I can see when the time before ENBoost was released, it would help with avoiding the 3.1GB crash but for today that isnt an issue. As for performance, texture res doesnt impact performance; actually it kind of does but it is so minimal that it is within the margin of error. Honestly, if you have a less than a 2GB VRAM card then it can be useful but other than that I say optimizing is pointless for an end user. -
that looks like memory corruption. Although, if the nif got messed up that can also happen. I guess we'll never know :P

Meh321 is still active and as long a crash log is provided, he'll fix it. In terms of long term stuff, only time will tell. So I figure I might as well participate as I dont really care about my characters, I havent even played the game.
