  1. It's in SR:LE and never really had an issue with it. It was always something I'd shoehorn in to a STEP Extended build.
  2. Yeah that's fine too. You'll essentially end up with the same thing. The Subliminal Traps thing, if you read closer suggests that the Sovngarde edition is Standalone compared to the other file (which I think changes the pressure plates). Ie you cant use the Sovngarde edition plus that other file) So yes do the 2.1 and Sovngarde and merge one into the other.
  3. No, you are supposed to have them ticked. The STEP patch provides ways to make the mods work together better and the Bashed Patch helps with things like Levelled lists etc. The game will run without them ticked, but you may run into strange things due to mod conflicts etc sooner or later.
  4. That looks suspiciously like what sometimes happens if you don't add the bash tags to the aMidianBorn Content Add on esp. Check that esp in Wrye bash and see if it has Delev and Relev tags. If it doesn't add them and redo the Bashed Patch.
  5. I use SRLE with REGS and always put that Companions Mod in. I've never had an issue.
  6. The way I do that is grab the original download. Install that via MO. Yes MO will spit out the mod is not packaged properly warning. Ignore it and let it happen. MO will show the mod name in the left hand pane in italics, suggesting it thinks it wont work. Once that's all done, right click on the mod in the left hand pane, select open in explorer. When that's open, just use your unpacking tool and unpack the two archives to that folder. Close it when done, and refresh MO. The mod will now show as fine.
  7. No. You run TES5Edit, allow all mods to load. You then right click on any mod in the left hand list and select Other then select Create Merged Patch. When that's complete, click on the Merged Patch in the left list and remove anything that contains Levelled in it. That might include 'Levelled Item' 'levelled NPC' etc. That step is a little confusingly written I must admit.
  8. Have you tried running Memory Blocks Log? That will tell you if the memory patch is kosher.
  9. I'd honestly say that anyone who uses the c word in a context like that is just flat out not even worth the time to read. That's just flat-out not on.
  10. Your call, really. If everything's stable and you're happy with all the slicing, dicing, shocking, frying and freezing you're doing, just keep on punching with what you're doing, and only update between playthroughs. Or if you're one who has to have the most up to date everything, (Like this little black duck) check in every so often and see if mods have updated and/or Neo's added new stuff.
  11. The answer to the first is more do YOU think it's stable? If yes then fine, try a pack or two. test again. And yes definitely make a copy if you're happy you're stable enough.
  12. Not if that's the only one with the malformed path with that stray u in front of it.
  13. Wrye Bash can do a few things but in STEP context it's basically there to do the Bashed Patch. In your initial three 'goals' above you're a little off the mark, then. 1) Not quite. That's what Mod Organizer is supposed to do 2) Nope, like you've realised LOOT is run through MO as well. 3) Not quite true. It's not compress all the mods into a single patch. It's more to provide a way for multiple mods that may edit the same thing to play nicely with each other. With your followup questions, then: 1) STEP does suggest to fix directory structure when needed. You need to check the MO tutorial again, essentially, and STEP instructions and SRLE for that matter too, will instruct on occasions when you may need to fix some things. 2) You dont need LOOT in WB. You need it in MO. Having said that there are still peiople around who use WB as their mod organizer program. There would likely be a way to add LOOT to WB as an executable. But if there is, I don't know it. 3) No. Installation Order is more geared towards things like making sure the right mods ASSETS win any possible conflict with another mod that may change the same ASSETS. It's possible, for example, to have 3 Mods X Y and Z. X is a general improvement of ALL bottles in the game. Y just does Booze and Z does a specialized version for a Heal Potion bottle. You would want X to be first and improve ALL bottles. Y and Z would then be lower in the list and thus their assets would win over X's. If any of the mods provide a Plug in, you might want that plugin to load before a mod that allows crafting of those bottles, for example. 4) Not quite sure what you mean there, but of you're looking for errors in mods, TES5Edit is a better tool for the job. 5) Yes you did. If you're referring to WB there, that's because WB could be used as a mod organizing tool as well. 6) No no. You don't need to bash patch after every section. Install each section, after each section do a check in game to make sure nothing's gone awry and you can still run the game OK. You only run one SINGLE Bashed Patch at the end of the installation. :) That will cover everything in that one Patch.
  14. That's fine, was just curious, click anywhere you want. :) I would still check and see if that file's actually there, first. That file should be there. Might be worth doing a quick Steam File Integrity check. Go to Steam, right click on Skyrim in your Library, then click Properties. Click the Local Files tab and then use the Verify Integrity of Game Cache option.
  15. Why are you clicking on Installers in Wrye Bash? Shouldn't be any need to. And it's checking for a Vanilla file. Check and see if the file's actually there for one. Secondly, that path you've listed, is that exactly what it says? Cause if so there seems to be a stray u there. Additionally the double slashes are not usual in most paths I've seen.
  16. Should be fine. Maybe some of the bigger texture mods you might want to use 1K instead of 2K.
  17. Ah Sweet, and made by Sloth too, so you know it'll be quality.
  18. PCaPP has patches for the WIC cloaks mod in it. You just need to pick the one you want. You do need to watch it though as other mods, like Complete Crafting Overhaul for example, ALSO provide replacement .esps for WIC, so make sure you have the correct esp for the job. It gets a little fiddly at times, but as long as you keep your wits about you it all comes good. :)
  19. It's in addition to. You need them both ideally. And I always run DSR last. So Perma would be before DSR.
  20. I can recommend several ENB's: Vividian Grim and Somber HRK Saraan Suum Bleak and Unbleak Skylight I've used all these at some time. They're most definitely not all the same, and they most definitely wont have the same performance. It's a matter of the look you're after, really. With your suggested other mods, you could probably add them around the time you'd add XCE in the STEP process. I'd suggest CBBE, then Covergirl I think you meant, and the eyes mod last. If you did use XCE as well if you loaded that BEFORE CBBE, that may work. Just eyeball the conflicts window in MO and make sure you have what you want 'winning'.
  21. Gives Ramccoid a standing ovation.
  22. Two Ways: 1) If you don't just want to unpack all of the bsa's then you go to the archives tab on MO, find the relevant bsa, right click on it and select to unpack. You'll be asked to specify a destination folder, choose the relevant mod's folder in Mod Organizer/mods. It'll do its thing and you can then interact with the individual files that were in the bsa. 2) Set up MO to automatically unpack bsa's on your OK. SRLE mentions how to do that. If you choose to do this, I don't unpack the bsa's in the unofficial patches or the ones in the optimized textures mods from the nexus. If you're not 100% confident, I'd suggest you go with 1). and only unpack bsa's if you need to for hiding files etc. There's reasons for and against unpacking bsa's. But that's a discussion for another thread.
  23. GTA5, DA:I very occasionally, and an MMO called The Secret World.
  24. Ah yes of course. You'd need to unpack that bsa file. I unpack them as a matter of course, and didn't think that others may not. :)
