bug STEP Skyrim SE Guide v0.2.0b - Official Bug Reports
TechAngel85 replied to TechAngel85's topic in Step Skyrim SE Guide
Fixed. Thanks. It's not marked as "removed" because it was never supposed to have been "added" before release. It was supposed to be replace by Landscape - Cathedral Concept right before v0.1.0b was release. I see it somehow got left in the v0.1.0b Guide, though. In any case, it shouldn't be installed. -
BUG REPORTS ONLY PLEASE! Please post any bugs or issues that you think may be related to the STEP SE Guide Beta release on this thread. Reported issues will be fixed, if possible, before the official release with STEP 3.0. Make sure to check back often for updates! STEP SE Core Beta Changelog STEP SE Guide Support Forum

Discussion topic: Scaleform Translation++ by Fudgyduff Wiki Link The mod that required this (Whose Quest Is It Anyway) is incompatible with the latest 1.6.x runtime, so this mod is dropped for v2.0.0. Marking it for Testing for when the relevant mod is updated, so this mod can be reaccepted.

Actually, that one is being removed like Mage Robes Overhaul was, in favor of Rustic Clothing and the new Armor Expansion for WACCF. -
STEP SE Core Beta - Official Bug Reports
TechAngel85 replied to TechAngel85's topic in Step Skyrim SE Guide
You're correct. I was referring to the master list updating when I said, " that is true". All the MO2 version of LOOT does is sort the plugins. I've never used it either, or at least not in a long time. MO2 also now has some FNIS plugin that I don't know much about but if it's the generation tool, I assume it'll be outdated as soon as FNIS updates as well. -
Not sure if using an external drive would cause issues or not. I've never tried that or recall anyone doing so for modding. Though, that is not your MO2 installation location. That is the location it uses for Instances. Where is the MO2 EXE physically located on the drive?

Should be an obvious, but have you patched your load order? Mod not working are usually due to them not being properly patched with other mods in your list. What directory is MO2 installed in? What directory are your Steam games installed to?

STEP SE Core Beta - Official Bug Reports
TechAngel85 replied to TechAngel85's topic in Step Skyrim SE Guide
Yes. Install it. This is true, but the last I knew it didn't update the program itself. LOOT will often update 2-3 times before MO2 updates, which will aways have the newest LOOT version when it does, but it'll become outdated soon enough. That's why we use the full version. -

STEP SE Core Beta - Official Bug Reports
TechAngel85 replied to TechAngel85's topic in Step Skyrim SE Guide
You could put them all in one mod file, if you wanted. However, you later response about forgetting about them once they're cleaned is incorrect. You should re-clean the masters any time Bethesda released an update than changes these files. Already addressed WB. Echoing Greg, again. I agree, the table doesn't need that DLC row. I'll remove it for the next release. Thanks, fixed the link for the next release. -
STEP SE Core Beta - Official Bug Reports
TechAngel85 replied to TechAngel85's topic in Step Skyrim SE Guide
Echoing Greg... It does include LOOT, but it's not updated as often as LOOT is updated, therefore we use the standalone version of LOOT to always have the latest version of the tool. The built in LOOT is reliant upon MO2's release cycle. "xEdit" is the common term used to reference to any version of the program. It's used throughout the community. SSEEdit is downloaded for the Guide, but users can use that one installation for any of the games it supports simply by adding an argument. That's just another way to add them to the list. Splitting hairs. STEP does not use a Bashed Patch. WB is not ran for this Guide and it'll be removed from the list release until it is actually needed. Thanks, I've updated the cleaning order for the next release. -

There's a good find. Most like this are good candidates for STEP. It's basically EBQO for quest items.- 8 replies

Not for STEP. It's not a direct port and it makes stylistic changes from vanilla that don't fit the Mandate. -
Cathedral weathers and other weather mods ENB support
TechAngel85 replied to wojsku's topic in Step Skyrim SE Guide
ENB support is rarely plug-n-play, unless we require the use of one specific ENB preset; any deviation and users would be on their own to fit things out. This is why we don't select the mods for the Guides based on the use of an ENB or not. We don't officially support ENB because it's too subjective to user preference. We're simply provide a small list of updated presets that do support Cathedral Weathers, and might fit some preferences (which is why there is a range of styles linked). Personally, I've been using a preset that is hidden with no reason given. I'll likely return to Cathedralist ENB, with some personal tweaks and customization applied. It's based off of Truth ENB for Cathedral Weathers, so it maintains Cathedral Weather's intended look. As for why "Cathedral Weathers"? It's because it is about the only weather mod that fits within our mandate. At its most basic, CW is mainly an enhancement (argue correction) to the vanilla weather system. It includes enough customization options to suit most users, as well. Advanced users will have no issue adding in other mods like True Storms to customize their personal setups even more. Users just following the Guide should still find the customization options from the MCM to be sufficient in most cases. It's not without it's issues, though. For example, it does alter the water color during it's fixing of issues. RWT doesn't have an option to compensate for this change yet, but there is one coming. Also keep in mind the entire Lighting and Weather section is options and has a separate patch for this very reason. Feel free to skip this optional Mod Group and roll your own Lighting and Weather setup. You would have to do your own patching for those mods, though. -
Instant ctd from attempting to load using MO2 SKSE
TechAngel85 replied to Apocolocynposis's question in General Skyrim SE Support
First of all, if you're following STEP, you need to get rid of the "Qw..." patches. Most of them aren't updated properly and some of them will break things until they're updated. The STEP Patch is taking care of all of that anyway. Second, revist the SKSE64 mod page to ensure you're install reflects the instructions. -
