  1. Use only one AF source. Either from the Launcher, the ENB, or the NVIDIA settings. Choose one and turn the others off. The performance and quality is the same for all versions. ENB AF Comparisons. The reason I asked about AA is because if you are using any ENBSeries version past v.119, then turn AA off in the Launcher (which I see it is off in your INI) and in the NVIDIA settings. Hardware AA doesn't work past v.119. You'll have to turn it on in the ENB (see link above for comparisons) or use SMAA.
  2. What version of ENBSeries are you using? v.119? v.139? Also do you also have Anisotropic Filtering turned in the NVIDIA drivers?
  3. His AF is enabled to 16x...at least it says so in the INI. "iMaxAnisotropy=16"
  4. I've gotten this message when using the BCFs. Anything to be concerned about? The files were created.
  5. Technically if using MO you want both so you can make patches. True, but like Farlo stated, STEP is not at this point currently to require the use of patches; thus only requiring one and not both. Newcomers that don't really know or understand what the programs are will be confused...like this thread points out.
  6. I would say that since WB and MO are set as "Core" then it would be confusing to new modders; thinking they need both...as this is the definition of core (install them all). We just need to add a note to WB and MO saying to only choose ONE.
  7. What I've been doing is to run Wrye Bash first using the BCF to convert it before I do anything more with the mod. I often optimize the textures using DDSopt (whenever it makes enough difference that it is worthwhile) which also changes the checksums, so I use the BCF converted version of the mod to do this and then rearchive the mod using 7z before installing the mod in Wrye Bash.Yep, that's what I'm getting ready to do. More authors just need to include a wizard and all this would be solved. lol!
  8. The entire point of the BCFs is that they work with the archive as it's downloaded off the Nexus without having to mess with it, so if you've been moving things around then it will definitely not work. I'm not sure how you thought it would work if you're in there moving bits around beforehand, pretty much any installer relies on being told the expected format and what to do with them.I wasn't moving anything around. I'm not that dumb. :P ...though some may disagree. I was just extracting them for use in my folders and to read the ReadMe files. But if BCFs use a checksum as you say, then extracting and re-archiving will change that checksum value and thus cause it to not work. Which I believe is the case here. No biggy! I'll just use the original, unarchived files for those with BCFs.
  9. I went out of my way to find an answer to this question and finally ended up contacting NVIDIA support. Here what they said: So, basically if you can't get SLI to work then the card is only going to use one of the GPUs. Also, here is a good review. Two videos on the page. The second one loads after the first is done. Newegg NVIDIA also has some good benchmarks; one of them is Skyrim. (Performance section)
  10. Categorized Favorites Menu and Soul Gems Differ. Would it matter if I've extracted the archive then re-archived it? Since it's using a check sum I assume that would mess it up. EDIT: That's what it is I think. I extract all of my mods for organization and then re-archive them later. I used the original file for Soul Gems and it worked until the very end and threw an error, but still created the file.
  11. Okay...so there's really no instruction on how to use these. I've tried two and both failed... I know to put them in the Bain Converters folder and the mod file has to be in the Bash Installers folder. Then in WB you right-click and choose Conversions. So...what I'm I not doing? Do the mod files have to have a specific name because I didn't rename them from the Nexus folder name?
  12. Melatonin... Ambien... :D
  13. I don't think so. It's one a single card so think of it as a dual-core GPU.
  14. Read the bolded bit in the OP's second paragraph. It was like... and then Farlo points it out and I was like... how'd I miss that?
  15. You only need one and Wrye Bash is the STEP recommended. You normally don't have to extract the archives with WB, but sometimes you'll have to in order to reorganize them so WB can install them. There IS a bit of a learning curve but once you get it down it's super easy. Always fall back the our guides if you have trouble and ask if there is something you don't understand. We're a nice bunch around here! :D
  16. Are you using Mod Organizer or Wrye Bash? BOSS is a standalone application. Extract (right-click>>7zip>>Extract files) the archive and install for archives. For BOSS thought you can download the Installer.exe. I don't know why Farlo is talking about SKSE.... :?
  17. This information could be and would be best placed on the DDSopt Guide as a tab. Of course, disregard if you're planning on doing that after getting it more updated. It is a part of the DDSopt guide accessible on the DDS Optimization tab. I mentioned it here because z and I were not sure that others knew this had been added to the DDSopt guide.I had no idea it was there. Why not add it in as a tab after the optimization tab? That'll streamline the guide and not force users to go back and forth between that page and the actual guide for instructions and everything else. Doesn't make any sense to separate the information to multiple pages when it can all be include right there in the guide via a tab. Just my 2 cents.

  19. Yeah, there's quite a few perverts out there that have nothing better to do.
  20. Complete agree with Z here. I don't like any of the mods in these shots. ELFX changes too much away from vanilla and if it changes enough it might go against the mandate. I don't like that they took away the candle horns.
  21. WOOT! MTichenor said he's going to update to v.139!!! Testing paid off! AMD also released new drivers that increases performance for ENB users.
  22. What fix are you referring to? SLI and Crossfire have notoriously always been unreliable in Skyrim. Remember, Skyrim was built on technology to run in Windows XP when SLI and Crossfire weren't that popular.
  23. If that's the recurring theme for ELFX then I say it can go. You didn't have any ENBs installed did you? Relighting Skyrim is definitely the best of the bunch here.
  24. These do look really great. Will have to test them out after 2.2.1, because the mods are already locked in for this version. Looks like a good candidate for the next release! (Releases should be fewer in-between after 2.2.1)
  25. SMAA is a standalone product that can be used in combination with any ENB. If an ENB is using an FXAA injector just simply swap it out with SMAA and done! Instructions are on the ENB Guide.
